vicodin

Avatar f tn Honey, I can see you are anxious for an answer, but there is so much to this issue that it's hard to know where to begin. For one, most pregnant women would not take anything without discussing it with their doctor. Yet you say her mother is giving her codeine on the side? For another, it sounds like she is more concerned with getting caught than being healthy for the baby ... even if she stops, will she be going back onto unprescribed codeine when the baby is born?
Avatar f tn will thay Really take her baby away if he has that in his sistym its just a pain pill rite pregnant women do get pain i think that would be awful
Avatar f tn MommaQ, you have a tough situation on your hands. The standard of care for opioid dependent pregnant women is to use methadone or buprenorphine (Suboxone). BUT I would NOT recommend either in your case, as the dose of opioid you are taking is MUCH lower than the effects of buprenorphine. In fact, taking Suboxone would be like taking 15 or more Vicodin (hydrocodone) tablets per day!
Avatar f tn is worse for a pregnant women 2 come off opiates whike pregnant bcuz that can cause problems with development and miscarriage ..in ca its illegal for.dr 2.
Avatar f tn CT whilst pregnant is generally an unwise and reckless endeaver, especially during the first trimester when opioid withdrawal could trigger uterine contractions leading to spontaneous abortion/miscarriage. I accept that both you and the baby have suffered no ill effects from your CT attempt but I would urge you to consult a medical professional before making any more changes to your daily narcotic regimen.

485259 tn?1519047026 The website says it contains sugar and diabetics should be cautious when taking it, along with women that may be pregnant. It also states, Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Emetrol Solution. However, no specific interactions with Emetrol Solution are known at this time. So again that you for posting this information. For those of us that fight nausea it may be beneficial. And as you said everyone should consult with their PCP before taking any OTC medication.

Avatar f tn And to try to take yourself off of a drug like that while pregnant is dangerous, and can also cause huge problems for the baby. It must be done under Dr. supervision. I cannot stress enough how very important it is to tell your Dr. Today. Now. Do not wait. You say you are doing it this way for fear of CPS involvment. Let me tell you, the way you are doing this should scare you a whole lot more...

Avatar f tn I see a ton of pregnant women working at maternity stores. I think it's very smart to have women with child working in places like that. I also have seen women at drug stores, Babies R Us, or maybe another daycare?
Avatar f tn I live in Tennessee. My job post is actually a sitting down position except for rounds I have to make every hour... Outside. I thought about working at a call center, think I'll look into that. I am also concerned about job security switching jobs but I will likely keep my current job but I WILL need a part time one also so that I'm not living check to check. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Avatar f tn its actually illigal for a dr 2 lower doses or take pregnant women off of opiates they r prescribed in c.a....
Avatar f tn When you go to medical school you learn that and that you shouldnt treat pregnant women any difrent then non. Yea things are more dificult but we asked for it. We need to do things ourself we should be able to do anything we could before. Speacil treatment is unneeded. If you cant stand in line that is your problem and not everyone elses you need to figure out ways around it.
Avatar f tn t understand why you switched from suboxone to subutex just because you became pregnant. Since you were already on suboxone, there is no risk. They only start pregnant women on subutex to avoid a possibility of precipitated withdrawal, but once on the Buprenorphine they usually switch pregnant women back to suboxone once they are on a stabilized dose.
Avatar f tn He prescribed me hydrocodone and Tylenol 3 mix when I was pregnant with my daughter for a kidney infection. I refused to take it. So please let us know how well this works for you.

1475473 tn?1310361067 s true that percocet it a safe narcotic for pregnant women (when taken as prescribed of course) so your doctor may want you to make that change first and then taper you off. You won't know until you ask, so open up. And congratulations!
