I love pit bulls and for the most part they are great dogs with kids, but when they make you nervous about your kids, its best to get rid of them instead of waiting to see if he will harm your baby. I had two pit bulls and one was the sweetest thing you had ever seen. He only got mean when someone was being violent in front of him or he didn't know you. He loved kids and other dogs. The other one was horribly mean. She hated everyone except for me. And hated other animals.

I had to chase her out of the crib a few times. But she figured out. Watch out for that for sure. Otherwise I wouldn't worry.

I've always been a huge animal lover! My cat and dog have been like my children for years now. This is my first pregnancy, and in about 3 and a half months, I'll birth two baby girls. Training dogs is what i did for a living pre my son. If this dog is showing aggression towards you you cannot trust it with your baby. It sounds to me like the dog thinks the pecking order is you'r hubby then it then you. This is not a good thing and if you wish to keep the dog you not your partner needs to address this behaviour.

s cool to be pregnant and have pets or when you give birth too, cause I think my WIC nutritionist had mentioned something about a bacteria in cats'.. But they're all vaccinated. Just wondering....

It's just your hormones getting in the way. I have a cat as well. He is 12. Had him since he was a kitten. He is more attached to me than ever before...due to the hormones. That's natural for pets. They want to protect you. It gets annoying sometimes...I understand. Mine uses to sleep at the foot of my bes, but since becoming pregnant, I toss n turn too much so he is left outside the bedroom. Makes the husband happy cuz he never likes cat in the bedroom.

He might be giving you distant if you different than usual maybe you more tired or less active. He should come around once the baby is born. But you already know babies make cats nervous because they move alot so it might take some time especially if he has never been around a baby. For the meantime, comfort him to let you know you still love him.

íts good to have pets, babies/children brought up with pets have been shown to have less allergies than those bought up in a pet free home, in saying that while pregnant I would wear gloves when cleaning out the litter box etc, and just watch your ferret around baby when it arrives because as you probably know they can chomp hard !

I explained to my guy that the baby was his responsibility now and he had to be her protector, I think they understand way more than we give them credit for.

In my experience though a pets are different, and have different temperaments, my dog for example is very loving and protective, and is like that with anyone who he is close with so I blieve once he gets used to the baby he will be fine.
