Hydrocodone cost per pill

Common Questions and Answers about Hydrocodone cost per pill

Avatar n tn The last six months, I was taking 20-25 Norco tablets (10 mg. hydrocodone/325 APAP per tablet) EVERY DAY! I got another job thinking that if the temptation was removed I could stop taking them without difficulty. Boy was I wrong! At first, I think that every addict thinks that he/she is different from every addict that has come before. That they will be the first to stop on their own because they are stronger...this is only the pills talking.
Avatar n tn esentially what we are taking is herion in a pill and the cost of taking these pills is so incredibly hugh... I wish I had known before I had taken the first. I'm embarrassed, I feel duped, I feel responsible and cruddy for putting my wife through this. I almost lost my family and ... well you name it.... for the love of God there go I.... Please consider yourself fortunate to have found this site... I am!
Avatar f tn Two months ago my mother in law had emergency surgery and was in the hospital for a month. She was on morphine and then on Hydrocodone. She came home and we are constantly going back and forth to the er. On our last vist she was out of pain meds and told me to take her to the er as she was having chest pains and shortness of breath. The dr. sent her home Friday night. We got her script filled at 11:30 pm of Hydrocodone 10/500 she had 30 pills. Monday morning she only had 2 left.
Avatar n tn I've been doing hydrocodone/apap 10/650 for 3 years now. I started out only doing 10 a month and have worked up to 10 a day! I recently lost my job (due in part to Sept.11) so I no longer have health insurance and, of course, not enough money coming in to support this habit. I was no longer getting "high" on this amount and just do not want to continue this whole addiction anyway. I tried to find Thomas's detox recipe but could not.
Avatar n tn I don't know how you were functioning on 18-20 7.5mg per day ... I was taking about 10-15 5mg per day, and it was starting to make me really sick. I couldn't breathe, had trouble swallowing, hit extreme highs and lows, got dizzy and lost my balance, had lots of trouble with nausea/constipation, and kidney problems. My doctor told me that I was going to destroy my body if I didn't stop, so I checked into an in-patient detox ...
Avatar n tn Oh yeah, right. I got to the point where I was Downing 20 pills per day. This drug is not a narcotic per se, but it does yield a high just as good as morphine. I am back down to three pills per day now to manage my pain. I wish I didn't have to take drugs, but without some painkiller, I am in a bad shape. And as you said J. R., finding and having a higher power, God and/or AA or NA will really change your life and your whole outlook on the world.
Avatar f tn I have been going behind my families back to obtain any hydrocodone at any cost and I am afraid it is going to derail my life and my future. I have to do this on my own and need advice on how to detox at home this week. I have already experienced extreme anxiety to the point that I wanted to beat my stomach. It was horrible. How long will this take. I couldn't take the anxiety so I reached for another pill. Please someone give me some advice. Anxieously waiting for a response.
Avatar m tn Wouldn't 300 pills at 5 per day last you 2 months (5x30=150)???
Avatar n tn I have ankylosing spondylitis, which causes a lot of pain in my back, neck and ribs. I think I can manage the pain with ibuprofen alone, and I want to quit the hydrocodone. I'm so glad I found this great website. It's a good feeling knowing there are other people with the same problem. Here's my question - I'm hoping I can taper down the hydrocodone and avoid a lot of the withdrawal symptoms. For a while I was taking 10 Vicoprofen pills at a time.
Avatar m tn my mind would tell me over and over how badly i hurt til i took the pill..then i would be okay til the pill wore off then my mind would be going crazy...thus the vicious cycle. anyone that takes hydros for 4 years or uses the patch and then takes 10 hydros per day is at the very least physically addicted...and the proof of that is the w/ds you suffered. only you can decided if you are mentally addicted to those pills...p.m. centers do exactly what they say...they issue pills for pain...
Avatar n tn I weaned myself off of vicodin by lowering my dose by 1/2 a pill every few days. When I was down to 1 pill (1/2 in the a.m. and 1/2 in the p.m.) for three days, I stopped taking them altogether. The w/d I felt when I stopped were not nearly as bad as I have had when I did cold turkey. Mostly, I just generally a little achy, listless. The worst thing for me has been dealing with my painful chronic back condition.
Avatar n tn I can pretty much do whatever I want to do, but I've learned that some things come with a cost. If I'm bending over a lot, carrying heavy things, on my feet for extended periods of time, etc, I know my back will hurt for a few days/weeks after. Anyway, the doc gives me hydrocodone: 10-325. 120 every month, I'm supposed to take 1 every 6 hours. He says to take them whether I'm having a "bad back day" or not.
Avatar f tn Your husband could help you to taper from your hydrocodone. Home detox would be much easier if you could taper. Although, I had the same kind of habit and had a "virus" like withdrawal , for maybe 7-10 days. NA is a good support for you. Narc-Anon for your husband. You do have a rough road ahead of you , but it is doable if you are sufficiently motivated. What do you think? Are you getting ready to detox now at home? Are you working? Can you get any time off?
Avatar m tn you are taking a large amount of pills per day. Thats over twice the maximum amount of tylenol per day that is recommended. You should have a liver enzyme test done to see how badly your liver is compromised. Read this and set an amount that you feel you can start at. Take them on a strict schedule for a few days. Set up times and stick to it. You have to stop taking enough to get high. That is the first step in tapering. the second is a strict schedule. Time for some technical talk...

Avatar n tn How long will the effects take to wear off if I'm taking a half of a 7.5 mg pill per day for a few days and then none at all? Thanks for any advice anyone has.
Avatar f tn So from then on, I was prescribed 120 lortabs (switched to Norco after a year because of tylenol content) per month. Well, I did fine, took as prescribed, for about 2 years. Then I discovered that if I took two at a time, I was "superwoman" - I could work full-time, raise my two children, & go to school! Great, right? Not so much - So, 4 a day turned to 8, to 12, to 14, you get the picture.
Avatar f tn Hi & help! I have been taking Hydrocodone for 5 yrs. now for migraines. I am not insured due to the cost of health insurance since I am self-employed. My mother (God bless her) was my supplier. She did not mean any harm, just trying to help me with my migraines. Due to her having wonderful health insurance (3 coverages) my mother was able to have unlimited quantities of Hydrocodone due to previous back surgeries and dealing with elderly pains.
Avatar n tn To make a long storie short, I ended up using after 10 years 2 x 100 micro gram per 60 hours - $1889.05 - 25 patches per month and also 2 x hydrocodone /apap10 mg/325mg per day as needed - $189.50 , Provigil (Great Stuff For modivation)$ 768.92 for 90 -100 mg pills per month x 3, and Lexapro X1 @ 365.00 every morning for depresion from the hydrocodone and loosing my business. I took more drugs than the averge person could handle.
508121 tn?1210887670 the only problem is that docto is afraid to prescribe now and they cost $5,oo per pill on the black market! I have quit and I feel crappy, tired, irritable but no panic attacks.
Avatar n tn What is the best way to ween off hydrocodone/lortab 7.5? I took 6 per day and went down to 4 a day. I have taken 4 each day for the last 7 days. Should I drop a pill each week? Would dropping a pill every 2 weeks make for easier w/d? I have been taking the pills for est. 5 years. Thanks.
Avatar n tn I am addicted to hydrocodone 10/500. I take about 14-15 per day. I usually take one and a half every 3 hours sometimes I take almost the full two pills every 3 hours. My problem is nobody knows about my addiction and I could never tell anyone it would cost me my marriage my husband would never understand. I am worried about liver damage and I really want to get off but I am afraid that I may have severe withdrawal like seizures or worse.
Avatar n tn I would yell at the kids inconsistantly and had terrible mood swings, the poor things never knew what to expect. After I yelled, I would go in the bathroom snort a pill and come out all smiles, no explanation just ok lets play now! I remember when I first got clean, one of the things I wrote in my gratitude journal was that I was thankful that now when the kids got on my nerves I would still yell at them but this time I would go in the bathroom and PRAY.
Avatar m tn Leading up to it, I was in a lot of pain, and my mother had hydrocodone that she would give me so I could make it through a night of work. Afterwards, I knew I liked the feeling, but understood the dangers and just sort of let it go. After that, I would pop a couple pills every week or so, to enhance the things that I loved doing. I didn't care for my job, but I was strong enough to not use just to get through a night at work.
1266954 tn?1270221125 For the past years, I have been taking 3-4 7.5/325 Vicodin per day for "total body osteoarthritis". I have tried NSAIDS, aspirin, and Ultram without any relief. Also, because of a previous HA, I want to avoid NSAIDS. When Vicodin was changed from Schedule III to II this year, my GP became more reluctant to continue my 3-4 pill per day "habit" due to regulatory pressure to wean patients completely off opiods of any strength.
Avatar f tn My 13 year old lab has moderate hip dyspepsia coupled with cancer of the bone in her jaw. I was giving her 1 estolac? pill daily but got to the point the other day that I felt she needed something stronger. The vet then prescribed Deramaxx, 100mg daily for pain. This does not seem to be working as well, furthermore I am paying $2.40 per pill!! I wish I were in a financial position to "treat her at any cost", but I am disabled and on a fixed income.
Avatar f tn anyone familiar or heard, know, experienced taking subutex while pregnant? i am now on 1mg per day and there is limited studies. please help.
Avatar f tn My wife had hip surgery and became addicted to hydrocodone. She went to a doctor to help her quit. He gave her methadone. He gave her 70 5mg pills, which she took in about 2 weeks, or 5 per day. when she ran out, she began withdrawel far worse than from than from the hydrocodone. Can she really becme physically addicted this fast? If so, how long will wd's last after taking it for such a short period?
Avatar n tn YOU all saw that intervention last night where he said he couldn't even get ONE pill for the $20 his mom offered him? ONE pill cost more than TWENTY BUCKS???!!! DID that seem strange to all of you, or is that right? I mean, my friend is BAD hooked on oxycontins..and she only pays AT THE MOST $8 a pill for the 80mgs. I mean...I just couldn't imagine paying THAT much for the pills...but $20!?!!? THAT's even worse than the $8 my friend will pay when she is desperate.
Avatar n tn I just started suboxone wednesday ( i know alot of people on the forums disagree with using it) but I was taking about 15/20 pills a day ranging from oxycontin, percocet, tramadol, and hydrocodone..The Suboxone has been a LIFE SAVER so far..Im not worried about withdrawal and detoxing right now because I feel that if I can go a year or so without taking my DOC then the withdrawal will be worth it b/c if i can go that long without DOC then i should be pretty well recovered..
