Hydrocodone and zoloft

Common Questions and Answers about Hydrocodone and zoloft

vicodin

Avatar m tn Short answer: Yes it is safe. Long answer: Vicodin contains paracetamol & hydrocodone, and Zoloft contains sertraline. paracetamol is a non-opioid analgesic, hydrocodone is an opioid, and sertaline is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). These classes of drug do not react with each other.
Avatar m tn Ophthalmologist was seen for vision problem in R eye and gave rx for nighttime glasses. Weaned off Zoloft over approx 1 month. Has been Zoloft free for approx 3 weeks. Headaches are worse than ever. Has been taking Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 1x daily for a couple of months with little relief. Later given rx for Butalbital as alternate pain med but pt has only tried a few times. Hydrocodone gives better relief but not full/long lasting relief.
Avatar m tn I'm on zoloft and I sometimes take my moms vicodin/percocet for pain and I'm just wondering is it safe to take these combinations together? Basically: Zoloft+Vicodin= safe? Zoloft+Percocet= safe? Will the Vicodin or Percocet decrease the effects of the Zoloft? OR can it cause permanent brain damage? I took 2 Vicodin's a couple days ago and then took 1 Zoloft pill an hour later and I started to feel weird/loopy. Could I have caused permanent brain damage?
Avatar f tn Thanks for the quick response. My doctor told me I should not of stopped them CT and spoke to him first about getting off them before seeing the specialist, as I will be having surgery. But I called them him three days after the fact. He said he would of weened them off me. But I thought I would be okay, I also cut them in half and took them throughout the day. Isn't Lorazapam a mind tranquilizer?
Avatar n tn I am currently taking 60mg of percocet for approx. 4 months. I was clean for 3 months and now i am up to 60mg on the perc's. I was wondering, my doctor prescribed me 50mg a day zoloft for other reasons. Will the zoloft help the withdrawals? i was wondering?
Avatar m tn Does Tramadol have as much SSRI in it as Zoloft? Does 100mg of Tramadol have as much SSRI as say 50mg of Zoloft? I was taking Tramadol while I was going through Zoloft withdrawal and I'm just wondering if I stunted the healing process of my Zoloft withdrawal. My body and mind still don't feel 100% since quitting Zoloft, but it's definitely getting better.
Avatar f tn I talked with the doctor and he advised to go ahead and increase the zoloft and they stopped within a day or two. I wonder if the vicodin made the levels screwy? I haven't taken Vicodin in 2 days either.
Avatar f tn I have noticed that after taking the Klonopin I feel agitated and depressed. After taking the zoloft I feel hyper and nervous. Is this a normal side effect of these meds or should I worry.
5387794 tn?1373257093 Before I got pregnant I was on 100mg of Zoloft, 4mg of xanax and occasionally Percocet (for anxiety). Once I found out I was expecting (5weeks) I immediately stopped the xanax and Percocet. I still am currently still on the Zoloft but down to 25mg. I wanted to get off by the time I was in my 3rd trimester. Any of you ladies currently taking anything? Did you stop? Plan on stopping? It continuing though your whole pregnancy. I've read the pros and cons but I'm still unsure on what to do.
Avatar f tn BTW my anxiety hit the rough after stopping hydrocodone for C-section,ovarian cysts and kidney stones that required stents and lithrotripsy. I was one the hydrocodone for a total of about 17 months.
Avatar m tn I was originally prescribed hydrocodone 10 twice a day for lower back pain 4 years ago. My pain is now pretty well controlled with Alieve. I continue to use hydrocodone/ib 7.5 in the AM and half that pill in the late afternoon but not for pain. My question refers to a moderate depression I've had for years that only 5mg Xanax relieved. My doctor advised against Xanax use except for emergencies. No anti-depressant worked or had severe side effects.
Avatar f tn I was able to have a sesssion with my addiction counselor and find a doctor who put me on zoloft, as I have a depression and anxiety disorder. After I took the Zoloft, I became very sleepy and totally lost my appetite. He switched me today to Celexa. I haven't taken any yet. Could the problems I'm having be from going off the hydros or taking the antidepressants? Maybe a combination of both?
Avatar f tn Been on everything from lortab to dilaudid and I used to love every second of it. Not anymore. I gradually felt like I was drowning and for the first time I was starting to come up for air. I've detoxed before but I've really only quit once. Now I'm on less than a half of hydrocodone 5:5/500 but I just got shitload of 7:5 so I look forward to cutting those down.
Avatar f tn This has added to the severe pain I already had. I am currently taking hydrocodone apap and zoloft as my meds. I also have a brain injury. I feel like I am falling apart. Is my limited arm movement from my neck or the tendonitis? Please help thank you.
Avatar f tn I have been having really bad anxiety on and off. The Dr. gave me Zoloft and it seems to have helped with my anxiety. But as it is I have a very hard time getting restful sleep. When I do sleep I have ongoing dreams and my mind doesn't get any rest. Now with the Zoloft my sleep is much less restful. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I have been on Zoloft 25 mg for about 6 months now and I am wondering if I am going to have to take this medication forever or can I get off of it. Also I have recently hurt my back and am wondering if I can take an hydrocodone acetametaphine pill to help me sleep.
Avatar n tn I looked up the side effects of Zoloft and tachycardia or any arrhythmia for that matter is not listed. You may want to ask your doctor about this. It could be some anxiety but the Zoloft should be helping with that by now. Take care.
Avatar f tn Before, my regular routine was taking the zoloft first and my anxiety took over and always made me so nervous in the mornings I would have to take the clonazepam shortly after the zoloft. Is there something stronger than zoloft that may help my severe anxiety better? Thank you so much.
Avatar f tn I had been on Zoloft for the past 5 months and before that Paxil (the lowest dosages for both). When I found out I was pregnant I stopped taking Zoloft but the depression and anxiety has returned. I would like to go back on Zoloft but am concerned if, because I quit "cold turkey", it's okay to do so. Should I ease back into it, or can I continue to take it as I had been? I've tried contacting my doctor but have not received a response.
Avatar f tn 25 mg because of depression and anxiety caused by insomnia. My MD says Zoloft will help me sleep within about three weeks. Anyone have any experiences to share? Thanks!
Avatar m tn You have to take the control back...stop reading, stop searching about SSRIs and Zoloft and brain damage. The one Zoloft pill did NOT cause any damage. In my humble opinion, you are dealing with severe anxiety, and you need to formulate a treatment plan. As of right now, I doubt you could tolerate another med, as you are still connecting everything to the Zoloft. Therefore, you will likely have another anxiety-induced reaction to another med.
Avatar n tn I have been on Zoloft 50 mg and Clonazepan 0.5mg for years and never had a problem. About 3 months ago I decided to decrease my dose of Zoloft to 25mg as I was feeling wonderful and my husband likes to have a couple of drinks and was on my case about having a drink or two with him. So I decided to decrease my meds. I completely stopped taking the Zoloft - cold turkey. And decreased my clonazepan by 1/2.
Avatar m tn He then prescribed Zoloft (50mg) once a day along with the 2 doses(1mg)ea of Lorazepam untill the Zoloft takes effect. The problem is I still feel like crap just about all day. Dizzy, sour stomach, a lttle shaky, weak feeling. I've been on the Zoloft for about a week now. It's hard, but, should I give the Zoloft time to work? Could I try using less or more Lorazepam? I really want to get off the Lorazepam. My doctor blames it on my upcoming retirement.
459279 tn?1206997145 I was on Zoloft 50 mg for 6 months, blood pressure was up and still was having anxiety and trouble sleeping, so my Dr increased the Zoloft to(100mg daily) and recently added buspar, 3x daily, I do feel better except my weight is going up even with exercise which is causing allot of new stress. Would you agree the meds are increasing my weight? I'm a while make 46, 5'11 199 lbs.
Avatar n tn it was just a coincidence. I started Zoloft 50mg and the tinnitus subsided. At zoloft 100mg, it subsided even more, almost disappearing. I went off Zoloft completely again and the tinnitus returned with all its fury. I started again and the tinnitus once again subsided. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'll keep taking Zoloft for tinnitus, even though I feel no need for an anti-depressant.
