I was given hydrocodone (Norco) along with promethazine (anti nuasea), just in case if they get too bad. I am going to a chiropractor as well as a massage thearapist. I am taking advil when needed. Could there be a negative drug interaction with klonopin, Norco and promethazine?
I've had hip replacement and feel great now. Of course, I feel REALLY great while I'm taking that dern hydrocodone, which was the problem. I took it so long and so much to control that horrible pain, the next thing I knew I was addicted! **sigh** I've been trying to taper down, knowing I was seeing the last of my bottle of pills and now, here I am, facing the next few days, not knowing how bad the symptoms are going to be or how long they'll last or what to do to cope with the symptoms.
•Selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRI antidepressants or anorectics), •Tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs), and other tricyclic compounds (e.g., cyclobenzaprine, promethazine, etc.), or •Other opioids. Administration of tramadol may enhance the seizure risk in patients taking: •MAO inhibitors (see also WARNINGS - Use with MAO Inhibitors), •Neuroleptics, or •Other drugs that reduce the seizure threshold.
As far as tapering opiates go, I tried hydrocodone itself, Methadone, and Mepergan (meperidine and promethazine). I also had access to Xanax (alprazolam), Klonopin (clonazepam), and Sonata (zaleplon). Over the counter drugs I found helpful include Tagamet (cimetidine) and Advil (ibuprofen). I also used cannabis frequently every day of this process, particularly after I had started true abstinence. Taper: I found the longer lasting opiates made for a more difficult taper.
I HAVE TO TAKE PROTONIX, TOPAMAX,HYDROCODONE,PROMETHAZINE,AND ATIVAN CAN I TAKE THEM ALL AT BEDTIME AND IF I DO WILL THIS BOTHER MY ACID REFLUX

Im prescribed all the meds so this pill i found which i knew was a Tramadol/Ultram 50 mgs. Is that safe? The only interaction that i am worried about is the methadone.
Among the drugs you are taking Cymbalta causes memory loss, Pamelor, cyclobenzaprine, nortriptyline, hydrocodone and promethazine cause confusion, Tramadol causes hallucination and together all these drugs can affect your memory. You need a serious revision of your prescription. Please consult your treating doctor. Take care!
I was diagnosed with H pylori and have been on triple antibiotics- Amoxicillan, omeprazole, metronidazole. I am also on Sucralfate for acid control, promethazine for vomit control and Hydrocodone for pain control. Does this really sound like H. Pylori or is there a possibility that something else is going on?
I have been using a lot lately, maybe 400mg of oxycontin and then add in the heroin and it just is killing me. I am so miserable lately. I didnt really notice it til a few weeks ago, but i know i am not hte person i once was. I am so depressed all day, i dont want to do anything, i isolate from all the people who care about me, my thoughts are so impulsive, i am literally self destructing and bringing everything down around me.
I am on Opana ER 40 mg every 12 hours. Hydrocodone 10/500 every 6 hours. Soma, neurontin, and cymbalta and klonopin for depression and to sleep at night. I have no fusion and my 3rd opinion surgeon says there is nothing else they can do. He said unfortunetly some people's bodies do not heal correctly and I happen to be in that percent. I lost my high paying job as well and try to stay positive even though it is getting more difficult buy the day.
There is major drug interaction when taking hydrocodone and tramadol together. When tramadol is taken with other opioids, patients may experience additive central nervous system and respiratory adverse effects, such as dizziness, weakness, nervousness or restlessness, and difficulty breathing.
Hey! I remember you from before. I cannot take Suboxone, I have tried it with an addiction doctor and it made me SO SO SO sick, it made me get SEVERE migraines and I was so anxious and gittery and crying and felt like I was dying on it! I cant take that **** so I guess Im going to have to go through it the "old fashion"way. Use my Clonidine, Promethazine and Valium and just hope for the best, its been 24 hours, I feel OKAY. I have a little headache, Chills and My Body is ACHING so bad.
All opiates/opioids are cough supressants. Promethazine cough syrup can be compounded with either hydrocodone or codeine. Taking an occasional Vicodin while on treatment is not drug abuse.
its the same with tylenol, and that is why it is combined with meds like hydrocodone, and oxycodone.... Phenergan can make you very sleepy, and in some people (like myself) it can make you feel high, usually only when used IV though. If your using it because you really are feeling nauseated, thats OK. Sometimes docs prescribe it for the side effect of causeing sleepiness, but usually not. If your useing it for other reasons you may have a problem....
The treatment plan for tapering off of Norco (hydrocodone/acetaminophen) will vary depending on the dosage your have been taking and the duration of time you have been taking it. Also, you will need to discuss with your doctor how your pain will be managed when you do stop taking Norco, as you may need to review other pain management options.
I am having some severe side effects concerning short term memory loss, irritability, and fatigue. I have taken Ibuprofen 800mg, nortriptyline HCL 25mg, promethazine 25mg, acetaminophen COD#3, cycmbalta 30mg, pamelor 25mg, cyclobenzarrine 10mg, hydrocodone 500mg, methycprednisolone 4mg, tramadol HCL 50 mg, and viagra 100mg. I usually get about one a week and if I don't take darvacet it last like three days straight and I also take promethazine with the darvacet for nasea that comes with the migraine and both drugs help me to sleep it off and the doc said the promethazine was safe also. Vomitting stopped once placed on promethazine. Head ache pain was reduced with hydrocodone which caused child to sleep for 8 hours. Thoughts?
I have been finding small vials of diphenhydromine and promethazine here and there for about a year. Also promethazine pill bottles. And recently LOTS of hydrocodone pill bottles. While snooping through her closet the other day I found a significant amount of these items that had been used along with needles, rubber strap, and also a portion of a straw that had a residue inside. I am extremely naive with this sort of thing - never had any addictions whatsoever.

I have a long history of taking tramadol, vicodin, norco, methadone, and then finally suboxone to get off of the opiates. I felt like it was a miracle pill the first time I took it. The doctors try to keep you on it for a long time. I tapered myself off of it in a month. My problem was basically about 6 to 8 norco(10/325) a day for a couple years straight. I then went to about 6 10mg Methadones a day. I don't know what you are trying to get off.
I used to take a good quality yogurt, probiotic, and sip spoonfuls until it went away. I was on vicoprofen and the hydrocodone in it helped my intestinal problems, but others get sicker with it. I heard ginger is very good.

I took a med prescribed for me by the NL, but he was grasping at straws because he couldn't treat Chiari, so he threw this other medicine at me, and it spiked my headaches and veritgo symptoms. Please be careful and don't be too quick to use trial and error with your head. Good luck. I hope you get to feeling better soon. If it helps, my grandmother swears by putting Vicks vapor rub on her feet. Go figure.
Lortab (Hydrocodone APAP 10/500, as needed for pain), Ativan (Lorazepam .5 milligrams, as needed for breakthrough seizures & sudden onset myoclonic seizure activity), Phenergan (Promethazine 12.5 milligrams, as needed for nausea), & Antivert (Meclizine, 12.5 milligrams that I take while having a bout of Ménière's). I also have mild insomnia, which I treat with a very low dose of Valerian Root, or Melatonin.
I've heard over and over again on here that tramadol is absolute hell to get off of. Like people are complaining more than someone who is trying to get off harder opiates. What's the big deal with this drug? Can someone answer me with specifics? Also, is there anyone out there that has just taken it for a short time and then stopped with no problems? I just got clean from harder prescribed opiates, but am now taking tramadol for my chronic pain - after tylenol and ibuprofen don't work.
