vicodin

Avatar n tn ve already done 3 months of PT, had a cortisone shot in the shoulder a month ago, and have taken Nabumetone for the past month (Ibuprofen for 3 months prior to that). The cortisone and Nabumetone have helped, but it's still sore and hurting. I use my shoulder a lot for lifting at work.
Avatar f tn I take methocarbomal, it's an wonderful muscle relaxant. It has help significantly on days that I just can't move. However, it is very different then nabumetone, if that is what you are talking about, nabumetone is an NSAID. So I don't know why the doctor changed it without your knowledge. I would call your doctor....
Avatar n tn I immediately took your advise and am on a solumedrol pack,to be followed by a week of nabumetone 750 mg BID with Pt and traction appt on July 17. This is still a bit daunting as intermittently I can still not feel these fingers or have a sensation of wanting to get my right should in a different postion- as if I want to pop it into a more confortable spot. The nabumetone sound a bit much as well- I do not take any medicines, don't get headaches or pains that I would need to until now.
Avatar f tn I have had so many painkillers. I saw the doctor last week and he prescribed Nabumetone and Paracetamol and I am no better. I'm going back again tomorrow and want him to do something. I am best lying flat on my face in bed. When the problem started I went to a physio and he suggested that it was a piriformis problem. I started doing piriformis stretches but the pain after I had done them was unbearable.
Avatar f tn So I just found out today that I am four wks pregnant and while I'm excited, I'm also scared because I am a Multiple Sclerosis patient and I've been taken my meds every other day all this time along with pain killers. Do you think I harmed my baby in any way?
356518 tn?1322263642 by timmy91 11 hours ago i doubled my dosage of oxycoden as previously suggested, but that still doesnt help. I am 17 years old and 5'5 and 160 pounds and the prescription says take one or two of the 5mg pills every 6 hours also i take iy with 600 mg of ibuprofen. I still dont get sleep at night bc of the pain and i dont want to take more than the bottle says...
513154 tn?1340225289 I have a question about Osteoarthritis and the pain that comes with it. Last November I had 5, 6, and 7 upper vertebra fused together and feel so much better in that way BUT i can't take anti inflammatory medications for my Osteoarthritis, Tylenol doesn't even help a bit and non of the arthritis over the counter meds help either. My question is... is there a non narcotic pain medication that I can take every day? I am 45 years old and very healthy besides my arthritis. thank you!
Avatar m tn I have JUST run the course of the Medrol pack, still taking the Nabumetone, twice daily, and still having the soreness in my chest and occassional shortness of breath. I can feel the soreness mildly all the time, but more-so when i take deep breaths or bending over. The pressure is gone, but if I do notice it, it is fairly mild. The PFT came back clear, no issues shown on the test, lungs are functioning normally.
Avatar f tn I'm always trying to get through to the doctors, that prior to the accident...I prob took like a over the counter pain reliever at the most twice a year. My tummy just is rejecting a lot of the meds. The worst is always the anti-inflammation meds. I've been on Nabumetone(I think that is it), Naproxen and now Mobic and everything, even w/ food it still makes me sick. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels sick from these.....
Avatar f tn btw, hydrocodone does not contain acetaminophen. Medications like Vicodin and Norco contain both hydrocodone and acetaminophen, but hydrocodone is itself a semi-synthetic opioid, similar to oxycodone.
Avatar n tn I just had surgery and took hydrocodone. I am on synthroid and cytomel for my thyroid. No problems noted. Hydrocodone on the other hand is a whole new set of problems if you start taking those every day. No thanks.....I would look at a different avenue. The narcotic pain meds are too addictive physically and psychologically.
Avatar f tn she has quit taking the hydrocodone 6-7 weeks ago but the hives are still coming (every single day) and in different places on her body. is this an allergic reaction to the hydrocodone? and can it take this long for the hives to go away?
783714 tn?1237997265 I am having the amniocentesis next friday and by then I will be 20 weeks.I have been taking hydrocodone for 2 years. I went from 2 10-325 norcos to 1 and a half.Is it my fault my baby may have ds? Will tapering off of hydro harm my baby? How safe is the amnio test?Thankyou for any help you can give me.
Avatar f tn In the last 3 months I have had charley horeses in my right calf at least3 times a week.Along with sharp pain in my foot and going into my lower back. But the past couple of days its going into the groin area. Its beginning to hurt to the touch. I'm wondering if it is PN.I'm also Dx's with SLE,Raynaud's,Sjorgren's and Osteo Arthritis since 2001.
Avatar n tn Also, after having all this stuff draining into my stomach all night it feels upset the next morning. I broke my leg and was given Hydrocodone pills for a few months and guess what zero problems of any kind with nasal drip at night or stomach problems during the day. I am spending 40$ a month now on a mix of antihistamine and Sudafed which does'nt work nearly as well. I wish there was something I could take that would work like the Hydrocondone pills.
492921 tn?1321289896 I know how addictive hydrocodone is. I have taken it for years here and there I don't like it and most the time it just sits in my cabinet. I only take it when the pain gets severe. It's Sunday and my Dr never really gets back to you in a timely fashion on the weekends. I guess I'll just wait to talk to him in the morning after I see my chiropractor.
Avatar f tn I have severe Gastroparesis and am on GJ feeding tubes. I was in pain management, but got kicked out because hydrocodone wasn't showing up in my system. I did a DNA test and I don't metabolize opioids and with all the liquids that run through my body with feeds, I feel like it dilutes my urine. Is there anyone that can help me document or verify this. I'm distraught.
Avatar f tn For the first two months he wants me to take the hydrocodone as prescribed and 30 days of Cymbalta 30 mg and another 30 days at 60 mg after that he said he would be able to get me off of the hydrocodone completely but it was unsafe if I didn't do both at the same time. Does anybody have any clarification as to why it's dangerous to quit hydrocodone and go straight to Cymbalta without being on both of them for a .
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm just going crazy. I have been on zoloft 100mg for the last six or seven years, they have helped great for me. I take them for anxiety and slight depression. I have arthritis in both my hips and it's been getting severe, since July I have been taking 2 - 6 hydrocodone for the pain. It just depends on what I am doing. Last Monday I quit taking the hydrocodone because I was worried after talking to a friend that I should get off them because they are addicting.
Avatar f tn s, I have been taking cholesterol medication for about 2 months, I also take Hydrocodone 10/325 and Tramadol 50mg daily. I take 3 and 3. I was told that if my liver enzyme's were not down by my next visit on 3/23 I would no longer be able to take the Hydrocodone nor the cholesterol medication. My question is what alternatives to I have to replace the Hydrocodone10/325. Please reply with any advice or suggestions. Thank You.
Avatar f tn One thing I have not see anyone say about the differences in hydrocodone and oxycodone is that hydrocodone is schedule III while oxycodone is a scheduled II......
Avatar f tn I am at a lost as to what to do but I can tell you all that I feel the Hydrocodone is a very nasty toxic dependent drug and hard to take and deal with life. I also know it affects my moods and depression.
Avatar f tn Sorry Deb I don't know and I would think this would be a question for your hepdoc cause he knows the extent of your liver damage and stuff like that. A few now and then won't hurt but if you do have advanced damage you might want to see if they can prescribe the hydrocodone without the acetaminphen in it - I'm sure they do make it that way.
Avatar m tn I also wonder if the culprit could possibly be one of your other medications? Most definitely the medications you're on could all be on the list of possible causes. The one that stands out to me the most, even more so than the Klonopin is the hydrocodone. How long have you been on the hydrocodone, and how much do you take, and how often? As I'm sure you know, opioid medications come with tolerance and dependency issues, which could be causing you w/d symptoms.
Avatar m tn She is 35 years old and suffering from UCTD for the last 4 years, when she started having swellings on hand and foot , developed horseness of voice and used to have pain and fever. Her ANA test returned with 4+ speck and ESR of 53. Over the last 3 years, she has been on drugs like Thyronorm 100 mg(Thyroxine sodium ), OXCQ (Hydroxychloroquine), Tacko M (Omeprazole ), Nilitis (Nabumetone ) etc. During this time she has lost some hair, and skin complexion has become darker.
1996308 tn?1327335139 So, you took the hydrocodone first and then the 8mg of Subutex? You may have a little nausea if anything... How do you feel now?
968560 tn?1307451498 Hi mpace6983, all I can say is I had the same problem with Tramadol and I also got insomnia from Tramadol and hydrocodone. So, I think you could try Valium but that is stronger I think. Maybe you have a cross reaction with another drug too? I know you will get a better answer on this site. Good luck and hope your pain gets better.
Avatar n tn The problem with HCV and vicodin abuse is going to weigh heavily on the acetaminophen component rather than the hydrocodone. Opioids are fairly liver friendly relative to long term high dose acetaminophen. If you can obtain straight hydrocodone rather than the combo, you might be better off; no one should be ingesting more than 2 grams acetaminophen/day.
Avatar f tn My pain management doctor recently switched me to hydrocodone 10-500 due to pharmacy crack downs and I am itching like crazy and having bad nightmares and don't sleep well and grind my teeth bad. I must be having an allergic reaction? I'm not allergic to anything but this now. I'm suffering in pain cause I can't take these side effects! I was on Oxycodone 10-325 and didn't have any problems.
