vicodin

Avatar n tn Lodine works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Lodine is used to relieve the inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain of osteoarthritis (the most common form of arthritis) and rheumatoid arthritis. It is also used to relieve pain in other situations.
Avatar f tn painlady, I think you better get in the ER if that same kind of pain comes back. It's B.S. for you to keep feeling this way. I know your surgery is soon, but something may be twisting or on the verge of a rupture. You need to tell your doctor how you are feeling AGAIN until he listens, or get a new one now. ER is full of good doctors. If you can't tolerate pain well, and this is typical for you, you might ask for better pain relief medicine.
2118192 tn?1335749268 I'm dealing with Rheumatoid Arthritis induced by Crohns. The doctor told me if my Crohns goes into remission the arthritis would go away with out any disfiguartion to joints. Right now I'm taking an NSAID Lodine. It has been working for me. Most days the paid is in most joints, making it difficult to to very much. But when I take Lodine it removes the edge off the pain so I can function.
Avatar m tn However, even the pharmacist had concerns about taking both Lodine and Mobic, as she said that they do the same thing and that I should take either one or the other. On top of that, the aspirin. She said it was entirely too many anti-inflammatory pills for one person to be taking. However, when I stated these concerns to the neurologist on my next visit, this is when he told me it was all a part of a “plan” he had to help me.
Avatar n tn It has be 10 years of agony for me. I either can't take pain medicine because I am allergic or they just don't work on me. I had taken Lodine for my back for years and was able to have a little relief from the pain, anyway it dropped from a 9 or 10 to a 7 or 8. But Lodine was a contributing factor in Kidney Failure last November so I can no longer take it at all.

Avatar n tn -( For the first time in years, the Fibro "Fog" was lifted on the Savella, my energy returned, and my pain was almost at NONE. But I am allergic to the medication. What has worked best for you when it comes to the symptoms I listed above. I've dealt with many many more Fibro symptoms, but these seem to be the main ones that keep me from functioning well at work daily. Thanks in advance!
5569747 tn?1370091638 I have been having this back ache/ stiffness on my left side between the shoulder blade to middle of back. have had it off and on for years but recently it has been more consistent with a feel of "pins& needles". went to a clinic to see a dr. about it yesterday. he took an x-ray that showed a small curve in my left side of back. said my left shoulder was slightly higher then my right. he prescribed an anti-inflammation meds called lodine that I m planning on picking up today.
904511 tn?1251219733 They work by reducing the levels of prostaglandins, which are chemicals that are responsible for pain and the fever and tenderness that occur with inflammation. Etodolac blocks the enzyme that makes prostaglandins (cyclooxygenase), resulting in lower concentrations of prostaglandins. As a consequence, inflammation, pain and fever are reduced. The FDA approved etodolac in January 1991.
513154 tn?1340225289 I have a question about Osteoarthritis and the pain that comes with it. Last November I had 5, 6, and 7 upper vertebra fused together and feel so much better in that way BUT i can't take anti inflammatory medications for my Osteoarthritis, Tylenol doesn't even help a bit and non of the arthritis over the counter meds help either. My question is... is there a non narcotic pain medication that I can take every day? I am 45 years old and very healthy besides my arthritis. thank you!
Avatar f tn thankyou for your post kittyluv .I have been taking plaquenil, codine and lodine sr for three years now, (I have been visiting my rheamy for 5 years and for an autoimmune disorder of which he can not decide which one I have) im not sure if it actually helps or not as I am always in pain but do not want to take anything stronger as I need to be alert for my children. Avatar f tn Now I use that when I have a flare, take Lodine daily, use ice and heat when need be and am going to the YMCA and using weights and exercising. Took me a while to build up to where I am but it helps a lot.
Avatar f tn btw, hydrocodone does not contain acetaminophen. Medications like Vicodin and Norco contain both hydrocodone and acetaminophen, but hydrocodone is itself a semi-synthetic opioid, similar to oxycodone.
Avatar n tn I just had surgery and took hydrocodone. I am on synthroid and cytomel for my thyroid. No problems noted. Hydrocodone on the other hand is a whole new set of problems if you start taking those every day. No thanks.....I would look at a different avenue. The narcotic pain meds are too addictive physically and psychologically.
Avatar f tn she has quit taking the hydrocodone 6-7 weeks ago but the hives are still coming (every single day) and in different places on her body. is this an allergic reaction to the hydrocodone? and can it take this long for the hives to go away?

Avatar n tn Also, after having all this stuff draining into my stomach all night it feels upset the next morning. I broke my leg and was given Hydrocodone pills for a few months and guess what zero problems of any kind with nasal drip at night or stomach problems during the day. I am spending 40$ a month now on a mix of antihistamine and Sudafed which does'nt work nearly as well. I wish there was something I could take that would work like the Hydrocondone pills.
492921 tn?1321289896 I know how addictive hydrocodone is. I have taken it for years here and there I don't like it and most the time it just sits in my cabinet. I only take it when the pain gets severe. It's Sunday and my Dr never really gets back to you in a timely fashion on the weekends. I guess I'll just wait to talk to him in the morning after I see my chiropractor.
1298907 tn?1272886488 ve been using Cymbalta with good results for a couple of years now. Originally I was on Cymbalta and Paxil. My PMP moved me off the Paxil and increased the Cymbalta dosage. The Cymbalta does a good job on my mood, fibro pain and abdominal pain. All nerve issues. But it does make my nauseated. Not a big deal because of my abdominal adhesions, nausea is pretty much a constant in my life anyway. I keep a Rx of phenergan and use them daily. I tried neurontin.
Avatar f tn I have severe Gastroparesis and am on GJ feeding tubes. I was in pain management, but got kicked out because hydrocodone wasn't showing up in my system. I did a DNA test and I don't metabolize opioids and with all the liquids that run through my body with feeds, I feel like it dilutes my urine. Is there anyone that can help me document or verify this. I'm distraught.
Avatar f tn For the first two months he wants me to take the hydrocodone as prescribed and 30 days of Cymbalta 30 mg and another 30 days at 60 mg after that he said he would be able to get me off of the hydrocodone completely but it was unsafe if I didn't do both at the same time. Does anybody have any clarification as to why it's dangerous to quit hydrocodone and go straight to Cymbalta without being on both of them for a .
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm just going crazy. I have been on zoloft 100mg for the last six or seven years, they have helped great for me. I take them for anxiety and slight depression. I have arthritis in both my hips and it's been getting severe, since July I have been taking 2 - 6 hydrocodone for the pain. It just depends on what I am doing. Last Monday I quit taking the hydrocodone because I was worried after talking to a friend that I should get off them because they are addicting.
Avatar f tn s, I have been taking cholesterol medication for about 2 months, I also take Hydrocodone 10/325 and Tramadol 50mg daily. I take 3 and 3. I was told that if my liver enzyme's were not down by my next visit on 3/23 I would no longer be able to take the Hydrocodone nor the cholesterol medication. My question is what alternatives to I have to replace the Hydrocodone10/325. Please reply with any advice or suggestions. Thank You.
Avatar f tn One thing I have not see anyone say about the differences in hydrocodone and oxycodone is that hydrocodone is schedule III while oxycodone is a scheduled II......
Avatar f tn I am at a lost as to what to do but I can tell you all that I feel the Hydrocodone is a very nasty toxic dependent drug and hard to take and deal with life. I also know it affects my moods and depression.
Avatar f tn m taking/have tried taking ibuprophen, tylenol, celebrex, and lodine for the NSAIDs, and percocet, vicodin and ultram besides -- none of it is working. i'm at the point where i'm just taking something to sleep so i dont have to deal with it until i can see the doc. thanks!
Avatar m tn , it radiates up and over my right ear to the front of my forehead where I experience numbness and sensitivity. I have been to the reg. MD, on anti-inflammatory meds, went through PT, had e-xays and MRI. I have been to 2 neurosurgeons and one pain management DR. I was diagnosed with joint inflamtion, nerve root obstruction on C6 exit, degeneration of disc, and C5-C6 protrusion into spinal column. They suggest surgery, but with no guarantee. I am going through epidural injection right now.
Avatar m tn I have been taking maximum daily dosage of generic ibuprofen (3200 mg a day, usually 1600mg at a time). I also take 600mg etodolac, 400 in the am and 200 in the pm. I have been having kidney pain on both sides, and excessive sweating. Could this be from taking too much NSAID medication?
