Also I'm not sure if the depression/anxiety and insomnia is from the nicotine (I usually get extremely depressed/anxious and have insomnia from quitting smoking or nicotine) or if it's actually from the hydrocodone. Obviously i have an addictive personality and decided to nip the hydrocodone and alcohol in the bud, but granted today at work (washing dishes) I felt like a pile of ****. Please help. Also do you have any reccomendations if you've gone through nicotine withdrawals before?

It is so important to stay hydrated. Water, juice, and gatorade. Try to stay away from caffeine. If you have diarrhea, try Immodium. It really helps. 3) Move, move, move!! I do have severe arthitis pain and am a 51 year old woman. I have to cut down and recently cut down to 10 a day and have experienced physical and emotional withdrawal symptoms. I have some clonidine and don't know how much to take for withdrawal. What is the recommended dosage. My goal is to eventually cut down to 4 a day, but have been very uncomfortable at 10. I also take effexor and trazadone for depression, but I am so depressed right now.
Out of the three you quit, the hydrocodone and smokes, you want to leave alone. You have done better than you can even imagine, and I mean that. You don't want to go back, however, with the caffeine, you might want to consider breaking just a tad. When I say that, I mean things like tea, soda, chocolate, not something like coffee and or energy drinks/shots.
My doctor has prescribed 2 Vicodin per day to reduce the amount of Hydrocodone intake. Try to stay away from any stimulants like caffeine and sugars, warm baths can help with the muscle aches as well…It will feel like a flu for a couple of days but is well worth it. As you see dependency can progress and in 1 year from now you might be needing 4 times the amount in order not to feel withdrawals..
Don't panic and just take it for what it is. This too shall pass. Drink lots of water, avoid caffeine and try to stay busy. If you feel like crying, then do it. Don't over analyse and don't dwell on this. It will go away. Remember how you are feeling and know that each time you go back on pain meds the symptoms get worse with each WD.....get off the stuff now while you still have a life. Relax and just breath.

At night take 1000 mg magnesium along with melatonin and sip it down with sleepy time tea. Watch the caffeine intake also. Pick up some Epsom salt and soak in the tub as well. Or steam room if you have access to one. That will release the toxins and help with the muscle discomfort. This is what I was told & have done for the past week. I am on day 7 off of Percs 10/325 for pain management. Post as well and let everyone know how your doing. You may get cold symptoms, runny nose, sneezing etc.

The best thing you can do is take good care of yourself, eat healthy food, stay hydrated, keep active and busy. Stay away from sugar, soda, and simple carbs. Do not consume caffeine at least 6 hours prior to bedtime. But as hard as it is to get clean, staying clean as you already learned is even harder. That is why I am a big believer in post withdrawal long term Naltrexone therapy. This is what we practice in our clinic.
and it drove me to get out and move. The tyrosine helped me in the morning a little and avoid caffeine and sugar. It will be better in 3-4 days i almost guarentee it. Hang in there and stay STRONG!!

It should take you 3 to 4 days to go through the hardest part of it and then it should get better. Usually patients that are young and healthy and take the low amounts you take, we help them medically at Domus Retreat. We don’t usually hospitalize these patients because in most cases the symptoms are bearable. Stay away from sugars and caffeine, maybe some Advil PM at night to help your sleep. Some chamomile tea can be soothing at night as well with a warm bath.

I was diagnosed with MS in August and was given a prescription for hydrocodone. I had abused it occasionally in the past so I had already built a tolerance. Since my diagnoses I have been taking at least ten 10/325 of hydrocodone daily. That is a minimum, I've taken up to 23 in one day. I have a family and want to stop but I don't know where to start. I have a two year old that I stay at home with during the day so it's kind of hard to go through withdrawals since I have to take care of him.
A relatively healthy diet, low on fats, caffeine and alcohol, along with a regular exercise routine, helps support this process immensely.” Eliminate alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, refined sugars and saturated fats, all of which act as toxins in the body and are obstacles to your healing process. Another deterrent to good health is stress, which triggers your body to release stress hormones into your system.
Opiates are my favorite, and hydrocodone has been especially easy and fairly cheap to obtain (at times!). I do experience bad back pain sometimes, but for the most part just like 'em. After having an almost endless supply for around a year and a half, my supply was pretty much gone. Oh, no! What to do when you're up to 10 7.5's a day and have NO CHOICE but to stop? I had a little more than thirty pills when the bad news came, so immediately I started weaning.
so when i ended up with two absess teeth and after days of only taking tylennol and penicillian I opted to go back to the er and get a stronger anibiotic and also hydrocodone and im only 4-8 weeks again and hydrocodone is a cat c drug for all you out there and it is is the unknown genre but honestly you should be fine you know how many people get drunk and do other stuff in the first few weeks and then end up worring thier hole preg . Just enjoy you didnt do it o purpose you didnt know .
