Avatar m tn Okay, before I did this 30% glycolic acid peel I did a little research on it. Now, when I was researching people said, that there should be a little bit of redness, drying, scabbing, and peeling of the skin. The symptoms that is. So when I first applied it , it didn't really bother my skin as bad as I thought it was. There was little bit of a tingling not really harsh or lenient. I give it about a 4 out of 10 on a level of, I guess burning or a stinging sensation.

The skin on my cheek peeled off nicely, however the skin under my eye looks as if I have more wrinkles now (the skin did not peel off directly under eye but around eyes).
Avatar f tn I understand that glycolic and AHA acid peels and serums can be too harsh on the skin, but how much harm will a glycolic acid face wash cause if used 3x a week. Is it something to be concerned about? will it cause too much photosensitivity?

The solution for body chemical peels is formulated to be stronger than the chemical solution used for light or medium facial skin peels, though it is milder than the phenol solution used for deep skin peels.
