Avatar m tn On the up side, hyaluronic acid is the same from whatever source it is isolated, and it is so common in the body that it can be used as a hypoallergenic surgical material for reconstructing and building up tissues that are lost. So hyaluronic acid has become a widely used substance among plastic and reconstructive surgeons.

It'a lot of pills but would rather do that than take drugs with bad side-effects (had really bad reaction to Celebrex). You can go to the website Arthritis Help For Me ******* for more info.

Avatar f tn While pregnant do stay away from retinols which are anti aging. They can cause birth defects. But look for something that has hyaluronic acid in it which is a natural chemical our body makes which helps retains moisture by 1000x its weight. 948202 tn?1245941816 It has hyaluronic acid in the form of a serum. Also, i use clindamycin phosphate lotion to prevent breakouts during the day. If i add this underneath the clindamycin, will it stop the clindamycin from working? Will the serum cause breakouts? It says it is for all skin types. Should i maybe use the hydrating complex after i use the clindamycin? I am 24 yr old female still experiencing some breakouts.

Avatar m tn , I was looking into the option of a combined hyaluronic acid/PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection - about which I'd heard great things - until I realised I didn't want to take the risk after the two half-botched operations I'd had done years ago. So I decided to simply take hyaluronic acid orally on the off-chance, and have had no pain since. Could be a coincidence but it could also be worth a try. Readily available in capsule form from multiple sources.

When applied to gums, it provides a sticky film in which new cells and blood vessels can grow." "A week later, the teeth began to firm up. A month later, I could chew on them. Avatar f tn You might be talking about hyaluronic acid. That's what comes up in a google search. It is used to aid reduction of inflammation and as a joint lubricant. I used it for horses 20 years ago, and it was the successful use in sport horses that prompted its use in people. I think whether or not it's helpful depends on too many factors for anyone to advise you over the internet. Ask his doctor if hyaluronic acid will help.
Avatar m tn Non steroidals such as Rimadyl are not to be used in kidney patients but depending on how high the kidney values are, I, on occasion will use them if we get a considerable response. We will monitor kidney values via blood tests and decide if the benefits outweigh the risks. At 14 there could be other issues for the poor appetite and if the kidney values are elevated, Sable should be on an acid reducer such as zantac. I wish you and Sable well.

Avatar m tn Whereas the Cosequin does this through the digestive system, the injection delivers the hyaluronic acid (which I assume is what will be used...or some variation of it...) directly into the joint. I would always go the conservative route first, then you can consider surgery. I would discuss the options with your vet, in what order he/she thinks you should progress based on the severity of the OCD. Are you near a reputable equine hospital?

Avatar m tn I will definitely ask my rheumatologist and my surgeon about oral anti-inflammation medication. Yes, but supplements I meant fish oil. Also, I have been taking hyaluronic acid as well recently. I never noticed a difference from taking fish oil for 2+ years. Actually... after taking hyaluronic acid for only 2 weeks, I notice a significant difference in how my joints feel as well as my eyes feeling much better; they have a much smoother motility sensation at the back of my eyes.
