Avatar f tn Before I found out Im pregnant I was using proactiv for my face. But I read online that I shouldn't use products with peroxide or syllic acid, which is what proactiv is. I stopped using it, but its always been the only that works. Is it okay to use or should I find something else.
Avatar m tn Because you are asking about hyaluronic acid, and because of the recent addition of GAG's to pharmacy shelves, I think it's important to address a few points about the uses of these compounds therapeutically. On the up side, hyaluronic acid is the same from whatever source it is isolated, and it is so common in the body that it can be used as a hypoallergenic surgical material for reconstructing and building up tissues that are lost.

948202 tn?1245941816 It has hyaluronic acid in the form of a serum. Also, i use clindamycin phosphate lotion to prevent breakouts during the day. If i add this underneath the clindamycin, will it stop the clindamycin from working? Will the serum cause breakouts? It says it is for all skin types. Should i maybe use the hydrating complex after i use the clindamycin? I am 24 yr old female still experiencing some breakouts.
Avatar n tn My acne didn't settle down until a few weeks after my second trimester started. Natural ways: steaming face, bentonite masks, yogurt masks, avocado masks, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil (debatable), eating more fresh/frozen fruits and vegetables You can have your Dr prescribe something as well. Facials are great too. I don't even wear moisturizer now technically and my skin was dry. I use a foaming cleanser morning and night.

Avatar n tn Currently manufacturers of skin products have been trying to provide a wide array of skin care products to suit each skin type. For an individual to get the best skin care, one should follow a particular regimen of cleansing, toning , exfoliating and moisturizing. As one grows older however, exfoliation may damage the thinning skin. Cleansing and moisturizing are still essential as one ages. The use of sunscreen for the face is still a must.
Avatar f tn I did go to a Aesthetician for some regiment to use on my face since I have really never used skin care products. The product that was recommended for my face and the issues I mentioned was Obagi System by NU-Derm. I went with my girlfriend to her Dermatologist and who has the same problems as I and they recommended Revalskin cleanser, SkinCeuticals serum 15, Ultimate UV SPF 30, B5 Gel and Neova Creme De La Copper to her and I.
Avatar f tn While pregnant do stay away from retinols which are anti aging. They can cause birth defects. But look for something that has hyaluronic acid in it which is a natural chemical our body makes which helps retains moisture by 1000x its weight. So it is super hydrating which will help reduce and prevent wrinkles.

Avatar f tn Large pores can be easily dealt with proper cleansing and frequent toning and moisturizing of the skin. Other treatments to consider include microdermabrasion, skin resurfacing lasers and chemical skin peels. In my opinion you should discuss these treatment options with a cosmetologist/dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar f tn Hello, I went to the doctor to have a filler injected into the eyes dark circles area, the syringe with the gel (hyaluronic acid) was not new, I know because he took it out of a box but the blister was not sealed, I also saw that the gel in the syringe was not completely full, I saw that he took a needle with a cover from the blister, so I think the needle was new, and he placed it on the tip of the syringe with gel, I am worried that the gel (hyaluronic acid) has been contaminated with the bloo
1193392 tn?1266969248 I have been taking hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid and some other things like grape seed extract recently with little or no visible results. I suspect I may have a thyroid issue, as I do have quite cold hands and feet, light headedness and a few other issues, but my doctor was sure my thyroid was ok. Since the skin change I have also been losing hair in the normal male pattern, which has been very unpleasant.
Avatar f tn The mark is now more pronounced and noticeable, dark like the color of my lips, and impossible to cover with makeup because of the hole in the skin. Will the skin ever grow back and what can I do about it now or in the future? Any suggestions? Thank you.
1711722 tn?1356487554 Hi there, Congratulations on finishing TX. That feels good to say. Even better than starting! I notice after EOT that I caught anything on the pike, staph infec, cold, weird rashes, infected cuticles, stiffness, joint tenderness. Staying warm with heating pads helped. Mild yoga and very warm baths were wonderful. My skin aged tremendously and everything I bought only made my skin more irritated.
Avatar f tn At night, repair them with creams formulated from glycolic acid—a must for improving skin texture and tone. If still the symptoms do not improve then please get a clinical examination done by a dermatologist. Fungal infections and eczema have to be ruled out then. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
