1980069 tn?1328912468 I have extremely dry skin on my face since I got pregnant.I have tried everyyyything!!!! Does anyone have any suggestions on what works best to sooth it?
304970 tn?1331425994 I'm sorry you're having such a hard time w/acne. I suffered from severe acne from age 16-19 and it was really difficult. I still get bad breakouts at 25 and, now that I'm pregnant, things aren't any better! I can tell you a few tips that I used back in the day, and that I use now: - Always use a clean towel to pat (don't rub) your face dry after washing. I keep a stack of clean washcloths on the counter just for drying and use a new one every night.
Avatar f tn It can. I have heard both spectrums. Really oily skin or really dry skin. Get a good moisturizer.
Avatar f tn If you have skin irritation NEVER use salicylic acid, its very harsh on your skin. Cinnamon is also a skin irritant. You face may be chaped, or it could be something to see a dermitologist about. Before you go to the Dr spend some extra money on a SCENT FREE moisturizer something for sensitive skin. For a cleanser use something less harsh like a cream cleaser or lotion cleanser, skip on anything with alcohol in it as a toner for skin after the cleanser.
Avatar n tn ve tried benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, gentle cleaners (cetaphil), harsh cleaners, etc. I though it was my moisturizer(loreal for dry skin 48hrs) so I switched to different moisturizers (cetaphil/jojoba oil/almond oil) and that helped but there are still quite a few bumps. Benzoyl peroxide helps for a little while but them stops working. Salicylic acid makes them worse. The problem is that they itch so i pick at them and make then many times worse. I don't know what to try anymore.
Avatar n tn Pat your face dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
1338623 tn?1275954335 This next one might be tough, because a sudden change in temperature and humidity such as getting into your air conditioned office from a less cold environment affects your skin, so you might need to get a very good moisturizer that is used mainly for dry skin. To be on the safe side, perhaps you should see a dermatologist who would be in a better position to recommend a good moisturizer. Take care.
Avatar f tn Hi guys! So I'm confused, I recently started using this mild face wash and says it contains salycilic acid because after a long time my cheeks that are clear grew 1 pimple (days before that it started being oily and having small tiny skin tone bumps). my skin was better for 5 days then suddenly I started getting 3 pimples on my cheeks and now after they start healing new ones appear. Im confused whether or not a mild face fash is causing me to purge or am i just breaking out?
Avatar f tn I get the walmart brand of both. Recently I bought a face sponge that lightly scrubs off the dry skin. It seems to be working. I know people say to not scrub, but what are you to do?? Have a crusty face all day? I also stopped putting acne medicine on my face because that I was irritating it more. I get kinda bad acne but thought maybe I should just leave that one alone and just cleanse twice a day.
Avatar f tn My face is soo dry too.. Has Been my whole pregnancy so far. I use hand moisturizer actually and that helps. I used to have acne so this is really weird for me lol.
Avatar f tn This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. If benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide. For the skin darkening, you can try various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids or tretinoin cream.Apply hydroquinone cream on the scars and it should go away in a few days to months. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion.
Avatar n tn My cheeks always seem to have dry skin, which when treated with a moisturizer turns red and becomes very sore... If I dont use a moisturizer then the skin remains dry and gets progressively worse. I do shower once a day but tend to put on a bit of vaseline first to help protect my cheeks from become dried from the water.
1961938 tn?1398718101 I get that on my face, hands, and boobs. Mine usually goes away after awhile. Now i have a issue with my skin getting really dry and peeling like a sun burn. Its so annoying lol.
Avatar f tn Before I got pregnant, I had smooth skin. Now I'm getting acne and my face is SO dry, and it never used to be. I can't even wear foundation cause it looks gross with my skin so dry. Have any of you ladies used any moisturizer or acne wash that has helped during your pregnancy?
492921 tn?1321289896 t touch your face any more than you have to - the oils from your hands, even if your hands feel dry, are bad for your face. Use high-quality make-up. Keep bangs/hair away from your forehead to avoid the transfer of hair oils to your face. I know that was a lot of info, I just have an unfortunate deep understanding about acne and how crappy it is! Best wishes to you, hope it clears up.
Avatar f tn Simple daily routines like bathing, applying soaps and scrubbing yourself dry can decrease the moisture in the skin. You will have to choose a moisturizer suitable for your skin and apply it 2-3 times in a day. Also AC and heating depletes the skin of moisture, so if you stay for long hours in AC or heaters you should use a humidifier too. Use warm water and a mild soap for bathing. Petrolleum jelly used at night along with glycerine can help keep the skin supple and moist.
Avatar f tn Try drinking more water and find a gentle moisturizer. It could just be really dry skin and swelling. Have you started using any new products or cleaners? I'm notusure if that is somethingoto worry about or not.
Avatar f tn This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. If benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide. If the symptoms still persist then please consult a dermatologist and get cysts ruled out. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn I put this mask on my face yesterday for 10 minutes to help my dry skin. i rinsed it off after 10 minutes like it said to do but when i did i got red splotches all over my face and my face became even more dry. i can't even touch my face without it hurting, and i need a way to make this rash, or whatever it is, on my face go away. i have really sensitive skin, which could be one of the reasons this happened. thanks so much!!
Avatar f tn Hi, The skin of the hands is delicate and much exposed to certain irritants like chemicals from soaps and detergents, abrasive lotions and creams ,heat and cold. These may dry the skin causing wrinkles, scaling and in some cases even eczema. As the hands are vulnerable, it is wise to use hand creams that contain sunscreens and moisturizers like vitamin E. Use only a mild and bland cleanser like Cetaphil to wash the hands.
Avatar m tn cleanser, toner and moisturizer, containing glycolic acid. Next day right after application the skin between the lower lip and a chin as well as around the nose became red, scratchy, and there was a sense of burning. Esthetician suggested to continue usage saying that the skin should adjust to the acid. After a week the peeling skin was gone but the redness remained. Also small red bumps started to appear around the cheeks and forehead.
