Avatar f tn While pregnant do stay away from retinols which are anti aging. They can cause birth defects. But look for something that has hyaluronic acid in it which is a natural chemical our body makes which helps retains moisture by 1000x its weight. So it is super hydrating which will help reduce and prevent wrinkles.
Avatar n tn I had great skin growing up, but recently my skin has been way more difficult to handle. I am a 25 year old female, and about 5 week ago I started getting hard, unpopable bumps on my cheeks and one on my forehead. They were painful and big, and I am still dealing with the scars. They flattened out and are still red, but I thought my skin was getting better and healing. Like I said, I don't get very much acne, so this is new to me.
Avatar m tn But my doctor prescribed me to apply mometasone furoate and fusidic acid cream twice a day for 3 days and no moisturizer with a Cafadroxil Tablet. Please help and let me knw that is use of mometasone furoate and fusidic acid cream is good fpr post laser resurfacing treatment without moisturizer??????
Avatar m tn Because you are asking about hyaluronic acid, and because of the recent addition of GAG's to pharmacy shelves, I think it's important to address a few points about the uses of these compounds therapeutically. On the up side, hyaluronic acid is the same from whatever source it is isolated, and it is so common in the body that it can be used as a hypoallergenic surgical material for reconstructing and building up tissues that are lost.
630344 tn?1280104983 I had HORRIBLE acne that started in my first trimester. You are not supposed to use salicylic acid or most other acne meds. What I found was a fairly cheap face soap that is actually fragrence free, soap free, and hypoallergenic at walmart, and it doesn;t have any harsh chemicals in it that can hurt the baby. Anyway, I love it, and it worked absolute wonders on my face, I also use their moisturizer which has SPF.
Avatar f tn It is working and I was getting cystic acne after I became pregnant. Make sure you have a moisturizer too since this may dry your skin. Dr. said for over the counter people who can afford her skin care lines in offuce, that Nuetragena is her go to brand.
Avatar m tn Could it cause vision problems, I have seen that the main ingredient of restylane is Hyaluronic acid, I have found a topical cream that is 75% hyaluronic acid, I know this wont work as well but do you think this is an option or not even worth spending hte money on the cream. Any comments or experiences would be great.
Avatar f tn Products with glycolic acid can help like facial wash, moisturizer, and facial wipes can be used together. (Just use them separately first until you adjust). Various products are available at Sephora. Just check the ingredient list to avoid the non pregnancy safe substances like benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and retinol.
Avatar f tn Tried all kinds of creams etc. At one point I used a salicylic acid acne treatment on my face and it got Hard - I mean you could tap my cheeks and the skin was hard! I quit the acne wash and switched to a mild soap (dove) and a very light WATER BASED face moisturizer (neutrogena), I still have some folliculitis, but no more crust instead of skin! Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize - drink lots of water etc, etc - AND some folks like me (very fair skinned) have to avoid oil-based products.

304970 tn?1331425994 re having such a hard time w/acne. I suffered from severe acne from age 16-19 and it was really difficult. I still get bad breakouts at 25 and, now that I'm pregnant, things aren't any better! I can tell you a few tips that I used back in the day, and that I use now: - Always use a clean towel to pat (don't rub) your face dry after washing. I keep a stack of clean washcloths on the counter just for drying and use a new one every night. - Don't wash more than twice a day.

Avatar f tn A few weeks ago, I was advised to use a salicylic acid cleanser to help with my sensitive, heavily acne-prone and scarred face; I did. Extreme dryness ensued after less than a week and I quickly switched back to my Neutrogena Visibly Even cleanser and moisturizer with additional honey/cinnamon/nutmeg masks to help my skin heal. It just /barely/ returned to it's original state. The sequence of events: Week 1) salicylic acid cleanser, extreme dryness, stopped using immediately.
Avatar m tn day time moisturizer, night time benzaclin and so on, every other day. Oh also because the topical stuff makes my skin more sun sensitive, should I use sunscreen or a moisturizer with built in SPF? Suggestions on good and affordable ones?

Avatar f tn What are your ladies thoughts on using acne products with salicylic acid? I have read mixed reviews, saying it's safe and isn't safe. I've been using it, it's in my face wash. What have you ladies been told? Or do you have any other treatment recommendations?
Avatar f tn My face is pealing like a snake! My regular moisturizer is doing nothing for me n neither is baby oil! Have you found n e thing to help? Exfoliating is like acid right now n makes it worse! My bare minerals makes it 10 times worse!
Avatar n tn Hi Shalu20 I also have very oily skin and about a year ago started using Tea tree facewash. It helps with the impurities. Always use a toner and moisturizer after that. For the marks, i found that rubbing pure olive oil on your face at night works wonders. Use only the Tea tree facewash and then the olive oil. Also, eat lots of fruit and vegetables and drink at least 2 litres of water a day. That really helps.
1378166 tn?1279743574 Hello, From the symptoms these bumps can be acne vulgaris. Cleanse the area thoroughly and apply a good mild exfoliating scrub on that. Apply a medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. If benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide.
Avatar f tn Hello, I went to the doctor to have a filler injected into the eyes dark circles area, the syringe with the gel (hyaluronic acid) was not new, I know because he took it out of a box but the blister was not sealed, I also saw that the gel in the syringe was not completely full, I saw that he took a needle with a cover from the blister, so I think the needle was new, and he placed it on the tip of the syringe with gel, I am worried that the gel (hyaluronic acid) has been contaminated with the bloo
Avatar m tn Six and a half weeks ago, I bought Clinique's three step acne treatment system to eliminate a recurring whitehead problem on my face. The first product was a salicylic acid foam cleanser, the second was a salicylic toner, and the third was a benzoyl peroxide lotion. (I have used salicylic acid before, so I don't think that was the cause of the reaction.) After two days of use, my skin was extremely dry and my eyes were swollen.
Avatar n tn I have tiny bumps under the skin that never seem to disappear and can't be "popped". I know you should never pop ur pimples but these have been there for months. It started when i was 20 and for the past three years it's gotten progressively worse. When I started using liquid foundations the dumps increased 10X the amount. Now that i'm using more natural products there are less but they itch and are all over my face.
