Avatar f tn Hello, I went to the doctor to have a filler injected into the eyes dark circles area, the syringe with the gel (hyaluronic acid) was not new, I know because he took it out of a box but the blister was not sealed, I also saw that the gel in the syringe was not completely full, I saw that he took a needle with a cover from the blister, so I think the needle was new, and he placed it on the tip of the syringe with gel, I am worried that the gel (hyaluronic acid) has been contaminated with the bloo
Avatar m tn Because you are asking about hyaluronic acid, and because of the recent addition of GAG's to pharmacy shelves, I think it's important to address a few points about the uses of these compounds therapeutically. On the up side, hyaluronic acid is the same from whatever source it is isolated, and it is so common in the body that it can be used as a hypoallergenic surgical material for reconstructing and building up tissues that are lost.
Avatar n tn Genigel, the new treatment, contains hyaluronic acid - a sub-stance found in the connective tissues of the body. When applied to gums, it provides a sticky film in which new cells and blood vessels can grow." "A week later, the teeth began to firm up. A month later, I could chew on them. The gel has actually made my gums grow back, which is something no amount of brushing or anti-bacterial mouthwashes could ever do.
Avatar m tn Could it cause vision problems, I have seen that the main ingredient of restylane is Hyaluronic acid, I have found a topical cream that is 75% hyaluronic acid, I know this wont work as well but do you think this is an option or not even worth spending hte money on the cream. Any comments or experiences would be great.
Avatar n tn Yes I would just wear a mask to get your nails done maybe ask them for one they have some.
Avatar f tn The newest treatment for age spots is an alpha hydroxy acid gel or beta hydroxy acid gel. Retin-A cream, alpha hydroxyacid peels, and liquid nitrogen therapy are other options. Avatar n tn I have tried Mederma, Scar zone, hyaluronic acid with vitamin c, scar guard, kelo cote, cortisone 10, and skin medica. Also using lemon juice, an indian volcano ash mask that is recommended to apply with vinegar (as it is a powder). I have been doing this for five months. I also bought a skin roller 1' with over 250 needles and have done two treatments. I am not really seeing drastic results, minutely at best.
Avatar m tn Can somebody from the old school on this hep.
Avatar f tn I use an exfoliating acne treatment gel as well as a clarifying mask a couple times a week. It really works for me. If you want to try it out you can purchase the acne kit and test it out. It is a lot cheaper than purchasing these two products and that one comes with 4 products. It is a 30 day trial kit.
Avatar f tn My question though is that I have been taking a multiple vitamin, aloe vera gel pills, and folic acid pills. This is just to keep my body healthy and my immune system healthy so that my body can continue to fight off this HPV. my question is regards to the folic acid though is that am I taking to much? The multiple vitamin i take already take has 800mg of folic acid and than i take a regular folic acid pill that is 400mg. Am I consuming to much. If so will it cause any harm to my body?
Avatar m tn 1. Several physicians have propose hyaluronic acid or cortisone injections. Which is recommended? 2. One physician offered to perform a chondral transplant, consisting in taking fresh chartilage from my knee and implanting it in the toe, with arthroscopic surgery. Would you recommend it? What is the likelihood of success and the possible complications?
Avatar f tn I would recommend their clarifying mask or gentle acne treatment gel. Both have sulfuric acis and salicylic acid in them which will not dry out your skin but kill any bacteria, tighten up the pores and heal the breakouts. I highly recommend it. It is pricey but works wonders! Clarifying mask is only used 3 x a week where as the treatment gel you can use every day. Good luck girl, sometimes hormones just take over on your skin and there is not much you can do. I hope this helps!!
Avatar f tn So I am a bridesmaid this coming weekend and want to get my nails shellac...do y'all think its ok? Is it safe to get my nails done while I'm pregnant? Should I ask for one of those mask things?
Avatar n tn I'm taking Ameriden Olive Leaf Extract - 6 caps a day, I was instructed to take only this brand. Plus Glucosamine 1500mg 3 X a day and hyaluronic acid (cushions joint) 100mg 3X a day. It'a lot of pills but would rather do that than take drugs with bad side-effects (had really bad reaction to Celebrex). You can go to the website Arthritis Help For Me ******* for more info.
Avatar f tn Ive been getting gel manies all throughout this pregnancy. I wear a mask and cover my belly with one of the seat pillows that they have while the UV light is on jus in case.
Avatar f tn If it persists, creams containing a combination of tretinoin, kojic acid, and azelaic acid have been shown to improve the appearance of melasma. Occasionally, chemical peels or topical steroid creams may also help. (ref: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000836.htm) Talk to your doctor which option is best for you. Avoiding the sun and using sunscreen also help to prevent melasma. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn To help relieve the puffiness you can use a gel sleep mask, gel ice pack or soak green tea bags- in water and place in the freezer, and place over eyes every evening prior to going to bed. Place a regular sleep mask over the gel mask or the tea bags to help keep cooler longer and help hold them in place. If they are really really cold leave on for 10 mins and off for 10 mins and repeat to avoid damaging the eyes.
Avatar f tn While pregnant do stay away from retinols which are anti aging. They can cause birth defects. But look for something that has hyaluronic acid in it which is a natural chemical our body makes which helps retains moisture by 1000x its weight. So it is super hydrating which will help reduce and prevent wrinkles.
Avatar f tn It's fine just wear a mask.
Avatar f tn Just wondering if any of you ladies have pregnancy mask? My skin is horrible! My face is pealing like a snake! My regular moisturizer is doing nothing for me n neither is baby oil! Have you found n e thing to help? Exfoliating is like acid right now n makes it worse! My bare minerals makes it 10 times worse!
Avatar m tn , I was looking into the option of a combined hyaluronic acid/PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection - about which I'd heard great things - until I realised I didn't want to take the risk after the two half-botched operations I'd had done years ago. So I decided to simply take hyaluronic acid orally on the off-chance, and have had no pain since. Could be a coincidence but it could also be worth a try. Readily available in capsule form from multiple sources.
Avatar f tn Same as above, usually get gel, went for acrylics this time. Nothing harmful, just make sure there's ventilation and you aren't in confined space with acetone, etc.
Avatar f tn Maybe you should try gel nails. Acrylic fumes can go right through a mask. I am a nail tech and only do gels. I don't even like doing fills for someone with acrylics while pregnant, because of the fumes from filing acrylics.
Avatar m tn I did extensive researchon the net and decided it was worth trying a couple over the counter wart removers on the genital warts. Salicylcic acid seemed to work in making them smaller but it takes a while, So i tried dr scholls freeze away on one of the 2 warts. The wart appears smaller but the diameter of the freezing applicator was bigger than the wart itself. Consequently I have skin discoloration around the wart itself and the wart is now a different color.
