Avatar m tn Because you are asking about hyaluronic acid, and because of the recent addition of GAG's to pharmacy shelves, I think it's important to address a few points about the uses of these compounds therapeutically. On the up side, hyaluronic acid is the same from whatever source it is isolated, and it is so common in the body that it can be used as a hypoallergenic surgical material for reconstructing and building up tissues that are lost.

Avatar n tn I'm taking Ameriden Olive Leaf Extract - 6 caps a day, I was instructed to take only this brand. Plus Glucosamine 1500mg 3 X a day and hyaluronic acid (cushions joint) 100mg 3X a day. It'a lot of pills but would rather do that than take drugs with bad side-effects (had really bad reaction to Celebrex). You can go to the website Arthritis Help For Me ******* for more info.
Avatar f tn While pregnant do stay away from retinols which are anti aging. They can cause birth defects. But look for something that has hyaluronic acid in it which is a natural chemical our body makes which helps retains moisture by 1000x its weight. So it is super hydrating which will help reduce and prevent wrinkles.
Avatar m tn , I was looking into the option of a combined hyaluronic acid/PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection - about which I'd heard great things - until I realised I didn't want to take the risk after the two half-botched operations I'd had done years ago. So I decided to simply take hyaluronic acid orally on the off-chance, and have had no pain since. Could be a coincidence but it could also be worth a try. Readily available in capsule form from multiple sources.
Avatar n tn I have tried Olay regenerist, ROC and Garnier Nutritionist and currently seen ad for Hydroxatone that contains matrixly 3000, argireline and hyaluronic acid and is there anything you can recommend I use that can help minimize the wrinkles while adding collagen and elasticity to my skin. Avatar n tn m on doxycycline for a month. Taking omega 3 fish and flax, hyaluronic acid. Eliminated fluorescent lights, use anti-glare screen at work. No relief. Will it ever go away? Once I'm thru menopause? I'm wondering if I should see an endocrinologist. I've seen that as a possible link as a cause-cortisol levels out of whack. Avatar n tn Like you, I had an MRI to verify my condition and was told there is no surgery for it and physical therapy and cortisone or hyaluronic gel shots were my options. The 4 months of physical therapy did nothing to help. The cortisone shots did nothing. The HA gel shots have helped a little bit. The pain is hardest at night - there is no position to sleep where my knees don’t ache & throb.
Avatar m tn MSM and Hyaluronic Acid are supposed to help rebuild cartilage. My daughter has connective tisssue disease and this is what she is taking to help... Hope this helps you, too. Dr. Stengler recommended these supplements.
948202 tn?1245941816 It has hyaluronic acid in the form of a serum. Also, i use clindamycin phosphate lotion to prevent breakouts during the day. If i add this underneath the clindamycin, will it stop the clindamycin from working? Will the serum cause breakouts? It says it is for all skin types. Should i maybe use the hydrating complex after i use the clindamycin? I am 24 yr old female still experiencing some breakouts.
Avatar m tn No better or worse. Exercise, diet, Cordisone and Hyaluronic injections acid, rubs, creams, fat stem cell shots...Knee ex-rays show I do have medial bone on bone in knees and osteoarthritis (OA). I felt a bit like I had a brain fog so I got checked out for that. One test after another. MRIs and auto immune test. inconclusive but what lead to further test was something in my blood told doctors I could have an auto immune but not which one. Doctors also said my B12 and D6 were way low.
