Avatar n tn I have tried Olay regenerist, ROC and Garnier Nutritionist and currently seen ad for Hydroxatone that contains matrixly 3000, argireline and hyaluronic acid and is there anything you can recommend I use that can help minimize the wrinkles while adding collagen and elasticity to my skin. I am tired of products that offer a lot but delivers nothing. I want a product I can stick to. SO PLEASE what would you recommend I buy and how should I use it.
Avatar m tn Could it cause vision problems, I have seen that the main ingredient of restylane is Hyaluronic acid, I have found a topical cream that is 75% hyaluronic acid, I know this wont work as well but do you think this is an option or not even worth spending hte money on the cream. Any comments or experiences would be great.
Avatar m tn Because you are asking about hyaluronic acid, and because of the recent addition of GAG's to pharmacy shelves, I think it's important to address a few points about the uses of these compounds therapeutically. On the up side, hyaluronic acid is the same from whatever source it is isolated, and it is so common in the body that it can be used as a hypoallergenic surgical material for reconstructing and building up tissues that are lost.
Avatar f tn The newest treatment for age spots is an alpha hydroxy acid gel or beta hydroxy acid gel. Retin-A cream, alpha hydroxyacid peels, and liquid nitrogen therapy are other options. I hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
Avatar m tn You may want to try eye drops with a higher amounts of hyaluronic acid which acts as a lubricant. Here is an article which has some information on brands that have higher amounts of it. https://www.drmikeng.com/new-blog/2020/3/4/comparing-preservative-free-eye-drop-products-in-canada Some put a drop on the contact before putting it in your eye.
Avatar m tn , I was looking into the option of a combined hyaluronic acid/PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection - about which I'd heard great things - until I realised I didn't want to take the risk after the two half-botched operations I'd had done years ago. So I decided to simply take hyaluronic acid orally on the off-chance, and have had no pain since. Could be a coincidence but it could also be worth a try. Readily available in capsule form from multiple sources.
948202 tn?1245941816 It has hyaluronic acid in the form of a serum. Also, i use clindamycin phosphate lotion to prevent breakouts during the day. If i add this underneath the clindamycin, will it stop the clindamycin from working? Will the serum cause breakouts? It says it is for all skin types. Should i maybe use the hydrating complex after i use the clindamycin? I am 24 yr old female still experiencing some breakouts.
Avatar f tn Hello, I went to the doctor to have a filler injected into the eyes dark circles area, the syringe with the gel (hyaluronic acid) was not new, I know because he took it out of a box but the blister was not sealed, I also saw that the gel in the syringe was not completely full, I saw that he took a needle with a cover from the blister, so I think the needle was new, and he placed it on the tip of the syringe with gel, I am worried that the gel (hyaluronic acid) has been contaminated with the bloo

Avatar m tn 1. Several physicians have propose hyaluronic acid or cortisone injections. Which is recommended? 2. One physician offered to perform a chondral transplant, consisting in taking fresh chartilage from my knee and implanting it in the toe, with arthroscopic surgery. Would you recommend it? What is the likelihood of success and the possible complications?
Avatar n tn I'm taking Ameriden Olive Leaf Extract - 6 caps a day, I was instructed to take only this brand. Plus Glucosamine 1500mg 3 X a day and hyaluronic acid (cushions joint) 100mg 3X a day. It'a lot of pills but would rather do that than take drugs with bad side-effects (had really bad reaction to Celebrex). You can go to the website Arthritis Help For Me ******* for more info.
Avatar n tn The very best over-the-counter preparation that I have found is CeraVe Skin Renewing Cream Serum with Retinol and Hyaluronic Acid. This is available at Amazon. I believe that retinoic acid is the active ingredient. It is painless and works practically overnight. This is also much safer than the corticosteroid preparations. Probably any formulation that contains retinoic acid (i.e., Retin-A or other retinols) and hyaluronic acid will work. CeraVe is simply the first brand that I tried.
Avatar m tn I stopped using the benzoyl peroxide, but continued with the salicylic acid because I was out of town with no other products. After six days, I stopped using the products entirely. I have been rinsing my face with water and drenching it in Eucerin several times a day. Eucerin is the ONLY product that does not sting. I sometimes use unscented glycerin soap. Six weeks later, I see no improvement. My skin is so tight dry, it feels like it's in shrink wrap. It flakes every day.
1486289 tn?1315842255 ve found the aveeno line of products to be EXTREMELY helpful and it has helped us to minimize the use of topical steroids. Aveeno does make a line of products for infants. There is also an infant eczema cream tho I'm not sure of the brand..it's in a pale green and white tube though.
Avatar f tn Starting at age 16 I began using Retin-A (Tretinoin cream) to treat my acne scars, however, I did not use it improperly and feel that I still suffer from misuse. Throughout my teenage years I continued to mindlessly use it in very large amounts, even on my eyelids, and I noticed that it did cause a significant change to my facial skin altogether. I never did anything to treat it, but now thinking about it, it was probably severe cutaneous dryness.
Avatar m tn It sounds like this is some kind of reaction- I would think that you could repair it and that it should get better with time- but you really need a doctor to take a look at the skin in order to be sure of what is happening. I have a few friends that use products called rodan and fields to repair some damage to their skin- the products seem pretty good, so if you are looking for something to give a try, I'd go with that- but also highly encourage you to have a doctor take a look.
Avatar f tn While pregnant do stay away from retinols which are anti aging. They can cause birth defects. But look for something that has hyaluronic acid in it which is a natural chemical our body makes which helps retains moisture by 1000x its weight. So it is super hydrating which will help reduce and prevent wrinkles.
Avatar m tn Hello, For the dark knuckles, treatment includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment. However these should be used under a medical guidance. Also at night, repair your hands with creams formulated from glycolic acid—a must for improving skin texture and tone. For a more intensive nighttime treatment, apply cream and then cover hands with gloves or socks.
Avatar f tn Just a tip, Ice cream seems to cure my heartburn moment. Anyone else feel the same?
Avatar f tn i use cleansing wipe. i carry a little travel pack with me wherever i go. it really has made a great difference. my face doesn't feel as gross as it did.
Avatar f tn No IBS. Dairy products don't seem to bother me except the time with the ice cream which seemed to cause chest discomfort. The most strange thing was having shoulder pain after drinking a glass of water. It was like as soon as the water hit my stomach it caused stomach and shoulder pain. Several of these episodes of been during or immediately after eating/drinking. It's driving me crazy as I never experienced anything like this before.
Avatar n tn There are several products available in the market containing ingredients like tretinoin, hydroxyquinone, arbutin, kojic acid, azelaic acid, alpha hydroxyl acids, niacinamide etc.; that may be helpful. However, these should be only used after consultation with a dermatologist, especially on the face due to the skin being sensitive than rest of the regions. You may try reposting your query in the Dermatology community (This is the orthopedics community) Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar f tn Tretinoin by itself has also been shown to be useful in treating hyperpigmentation of sun-damaged skin. Kojic acid, alone or in combination with glycolic acid or hydroquinone, also has shown good results. ref:http://en.wikipedia.
