hyaluronic-acid

Avatar m tn Could it cause vision problems, I have seen that the main ingredient of restylane is Hyaluronic acid, I have found a topical cream that is 75% hyaluronic acid, I know this wont work as well but do you think this is an option or not even worth spending hte money on the cream. Any comments or experiences would be great.
Avatar m tn Because you are asking about hyaluronic acid, and because of the recent addition of GAG's to pharmacy shelves, I think it's important to address a few points about the uses of these compounds therapeutically. On the up side, hyaluronic acid is the same from whatever source it is isolated, and it is so common in the body that it can be used as a hypoallergenic surgical material for reconstructing and building up tissues that are lost.
Avatar n tn I have tried Olay regenerist, ROC and Garnier Nutritionist and currently seen ad for Hydroxatone that contains matrixly 3000, argireline and hyaluronic acid and is there anything you can recommend I use that can help minimize the wrinkles while adding collagen and elasticity to my skin. I am tired of products that offer a lot but delivers nothing. I want a product I can stick to. SO PLEASE what would you recommend I buy and how should I use it.
Avatar m tn Vitamin C (with bioflavonoids), Zinc, multi-vitamins, E, A, folic acid are the usual ones people take. Also some take supplements such as green tea extract, lysine, agaricus blazei mushroom extract, etc. Look for products that builds up the immune system. Stop smoking, exercise, eat healthy, get more rest and reduce your stress somehow.
353701 tn?1249580864 We report 2 similar cases of systemic sarcoidosis in patients who both developed a sarcoidal granuloma at the location of a cosmetic filler injection during combined interferon and ribavirin treatment for chronic hepatitis C infection. Cosmetic fillers were hyaluronic acid for one patient and probably silicone for the other. CONCLUSION: Patients with chronic hepatitis C have a higher risk of interferon-induced sarcoidosis.
Avatar m tn , I was looking into the option of a combined hyaluronic acid/PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection - about which I'd heard great things - until I realised I didn't want to take the risk after the two half-botched operations I'd had done years ago. So I decided to simply take hyaluronic acid orally on the off-chance, and have had no pain since. Could be a coincidence but it could also be worth a try. Readily available in capsule form from multiple sources.
Avatar m tn Treatment includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar f tn Hello, I went to the doctor to have a filler injected into the eyes dark circles area, the syringe with the gel (hyaluronic acid) was not new, I know because he took it out of a box but the blister was not sealed, I also saw that the gel in the syringe was not completely full, I saw that he took a needle with a cover from the blister, so I think the needle was new, and he placed it on the tip of the syringe with gel, I am worried that the gel (hyaluronic acid) has been contaminated with the bloo

Avatar n tn I had great skin growing up, but recently my skin has been way more difficult to handle. I am a 25 year old female, and about 5 week ago I started getting hard, unpopable bumps on my cheeks and one on my forehead. They were painful and big, and I am still dealing with the scars. They flattened out and are still red, but I thought my skin was getting better and healing. Like I said, I don't get very much acne, so this is new to me.
Avatar m tn Ok so i am 20 years old and i took accutane for about 3 months, then stopped due to lower back pain. After much research i found that the accutane dries up the glands that produce synovial fluid that lubricates your joints. Since then i've been taking hyaluronic acid which helps lube the joints.
Avatar m tn Can somebody from the old school on this hep.

Avatar m tn 1. Several physicians have propose hyaluronic acid or cortisone injections. Which is recommended? 2. One physician offered to perform a chondral transplant, consisting in taking fresh chartilage from my knee and implanting it in the toe, with arthroscopic surgery. Would you recommend it? What is the likelihood of success and the possible complications?
1356959 tn?1488975948 Hello Everyone I am a 27 year old lady South African(black),I have been suffering from acne ever since I was 14. Last year my Derma put me on Roaccutane for a period of six months, I completed the course and my kin looks amazing. I was also put on a prescription for Differen cream and Skinoren,i have seen little improvements. The only major problem I have is with my forehead, it is very darker than the other areas on my face and does not want to clear at all.
Avatar n tn I'm taking Ameriden Olive Leaf Extract - 6 caps a day, I was instructed to take only this brand. Plus Glucosamine 1500mg 3 X a day and hyaluronic acid (cushions joint) 100mg 3X a day. It'a lot of pills but would rather do that than take drugs with bad side-effects (had really bad reaction to Celebrex). You can go to the website Arthritis Help For Me ******* for more info.
Avatar n tn The very best over-the-counter preparation that I have found is CeraVe Skin Renewing Cream Serum with Retinol and Hyaluronic Acid. This is available at Amazon. I believe that retinoic acid is the active ingredient. It is painless and works practically overnight. This is also much safer than the corticosteroid preparations. Probably any formulation that contains retinoic acid (i.e., Retin-A or other retinols) and hyaluronic acid will work. CeraVe is simply the first brand that I tried.
Avatar f tn I have tried every RX cream out there and today I had to get Kenalog injections in each lesion. I had them once before and got the injections and they cleared up but none the less they came back. My doctor has recommended that I start tanning. He even gave me a prescription to tan. Is there anything else that can be done to help them from coming back? They itch all the time!
743543 tn?1268763223 [7][8] Another study, though lacking a placebo control, examined a cream (Verum) containing vitamin E, panthenol, hyaluronic acid, elastin and menthol. It was associated with fewer stretch marks during pregnancy versus no treatment.[9] Though cocoa butter is an effective moisturizer, no research studies have shown its ability to either prevent stretchmarks, or to reduce their appearance once a stretch mark has already formed.
Avatar n tn A good option is to try an elastin and collagen skin cream, or a firming skin cream. These claim to help make your skin more elastic and firm (opposite of loose) if the loose skin doesn't go away. Or you could try any other elastic skin cream like a hyaluronic acid serum cream if those don't work. You could probably find those online or at a local store like Walmart. Hope this helps!
4829540 tn?1359967267 so i got back to my dermatologist and she gave me floucinonide cream...and after a folow up check-up it twas gone...so after a year now (the present), they exist again...but i think it's not ringworm anymore the same area where it has grown..my derma before advised me to have the skin biopsy but my father refused me to do it, cuss they are afraid since when you say biopsy it is a big thing.. now i am very confused if what it is in my neck and some part of my breast ..
Avatar f tn While pregnant do stay away from retinols which are anti aging. They can cause birth defects. But look for something that has hyaluronic acid in it which is a natural chemical our body makes which helps retains moisture by 1000x its weight. So it is super hydrating which will help reduce and prevent wrinkles.
