Avatar m tn In January my joints began to pop and now 7 and half months later I'm starting to have floaters. I've had a CBC by my pcp and everything came out normal for my joints. No inflammation or pain and I'm still able to trail run 8+ miles with no problems. About two weeks ago (maybe 10 days) i started noticing floaters. I have visited two optometrists. One took care of the eye exam and the second did the dilation since I didn't have time during the initial visit.
Avatar m tn Because you are asking about hyaluronic acid, and because of the recent addition of GAG's to pharmacy shelves, I think it's important to address a few points about the uses of these compounds therapeutically. On the up side, hyaluronic acid is the same from whatever source it is isolated, and it is so common in the body that it can be used as a hypoallergenic surgical material for reconstructing and building up tissues that are lost.
Avatar m tn Could it cause vision problems, I have seen that the main ingredient of restylane is Hyaluronic acid, I have found a topical cream that is 75% hyaluronic acid, I know this wont work as well but do you think this is an option or not even worth spending hte money on the cream. Any comments or experiences would be great.

Should you want to follow up on this with me, that would be fine.
Avatar m tn Some patients swear by the joint supplements, such as chondroitin, hyaluronic acid, and glucosamine. There is some anecdotal evidence that these may help thicken the cartilage, but no strict research has ever shown this to be true.
Avatar f tn Hello, I went to the doctor to have a filler injected into the eyes dark circles area, the syringe with the gel (hyaluronic acid) was not new, I know because he took it out of a box but the blister was not sealed, I also saw that the gel in the syringe was not completely full, I saw that he took a needle with a cover from the blister, so I think the needle was new, and he placed it on the tip of the syringe with gel, I am worried that the gel (hyaluronic acid) has been contaminated with the bloo
Avatar f tn It is less effective for a smaller joint like joints for your hands and feet. Please consult your doctor regarding this. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history.

Avatar f tn I assume you're looking for alternative remedies, not pharmaceuticals. This can be very particular to an individual, and dependent on how severe the arthritis is and whether it's pinching nerves and such, and whether it's osteo or rheumatoid arthritis.
Avatar m tn This has been treated with ultrasound, condroitin sulphate pills for three months, anti-inflammatory drugs on and off, and an insole. The pain when I walk is still there and at times intense. I have two questions: 1. Several physicians have propose hyaluronic acid or cortisone injections. Which is recommended? 2. One physician offered to perform a chondral transplant, consisting in taking fresh chartilage from my knee and implanting it in the toe, with arthroscopic surgery.

Avatar m tn I had surgery to resect the temporal tissue regions of both of my eyes 5 months ago. While the blood (sub conj hem) was cleared up very fast within the first few days, it left my tissue purple and veiny that seems to not go away. After 5 months, my eyes look the same as it did 4 months ago. I feel extreme soreness in the area where my surgeon resected my tissue. I feel constant headaches above and behind my eyes.
Avatar f tn While pregnant do stay away from retinols which are anti aging. They can cause birth defects. But look for something that has hyaluronic acid in it which is a natural chemical our body makes which helps retains moisture by 1000x its weight. So it is super hydrating which will help reduce and prevent wrinkles.
Avatar m tn Magnesium is needed to relax muscles and for hyaluronic acid synthesis which is used to lubricate joints. Glad i know this because i'd be going through a zillion tests with no diagnosis. Avatar m tn After a couple of ACL surgeries over the years due to sports injuries and regular knee pain ever since when exercising, descending stairs etc., I was looking into the option of a combined hyaluronic acid/PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection - about which I'd heard great things - until I realised I didn't want to take the risk after the two half-botched operations I'd had done years ago. So I decided to simply take hyaluronic acid orally on the off-chance, and have had no pain since.

When applied to gums, it provides a sticky film in which new cells and blood vessels can grow." "A week later, the teeth began to firm up. A month later, I could chew on them. Avatar m tn Ok so i am 20 years old and i took accutane for about 3 months, then stopped due to lower back pain. 6361680 tn?1403274447 Magnesium is needed to relax muscles and is important for hyaluronic acid synthesis which is used by the body to lubricate joints. Joint pain and popping joints are two of many possible symptoms of magnesium deficiency. Avatar n tn Not much a doctor can do - x rays - no treatment except pain meds. You might try getting some MSM and Hyaluronic acid from the health food store. Only thing that can heal cartilage. Don't horse around like that anymore. If your rib broke just messing around - think what could happen next time!! Take care of yourself. - Also take some vitamins to build your bones and body. Good health to you...
