anyone taking humira for psoriasis
Humira has been helping my lower back spondylitis a lot...i just haven't been able to afford my meds. I finally ordered my Humira today and will be a week late taking it. I can't wait to get it going again. It's also clearing up my psoriasis significantly. I have just flat red patches for the most part instead of the scaly raised patches from before. I think I'm just depressed that my leg will never be the same again. The same old ****, different day about that.
I am suffering from Psoriasis for the last 30 years . What treatment should I take to manage.

I married 8 years ago to a good man with a bad case of Psoriasis. About 6 months ago he was diagnosed with Psoriatic arthritis after having his hands and body start crippling his abailities in daily living, and began taking Humira as treatment. Recently he has decided that we can no longer be intimate and we need to separate.
I am a crohns patient on humira and I have broken out in scab on my arms and face. Can anyone tell me what this could be?
I have been on Humira for psoriasis for approx. 9 mos. now. In the beginning I noticed that I as well had some swelling. I got reading alot about reactions etc. It did say that your body does contain more water which in turn would cause swelling. I myself found that after about 3mos. I had gained weight, not that I couldn't afford to but all the same I did find it a little odd. After reading so much on Humira, I dont' think I've missed a page, it is one of those side effects.
My husband has severe psoriasis, he's been through the light box treatment, and several creams and now humira, nothing seems to be clearing. Does anyone have any suggestions for any home remedies to help with it. Also, does dryer sheets affect psoriasis? I use alot of dryer sheets. thank you.

Are you aware of any effects of these or other psoriasis medications on HPV clearance abilities? Thank you in advance for your help.
I took Humira for 7 months and my psoriasis was totally gone from everywhere! (except for the flexure). Well it doesn't work for me anymore so I am going to try something else. All I'm trying to say is get on top of it! Don't let it spread and get out of hand because it will be harder to control. Best wishes and regards!
You do not have joint pain. Is that correct? If you have dermatological psoriasis (skin psoriasis), then I would recommend seeing a Dermatologist for treatment. He/she will probably give you prescriptions for topical steroid creams or ointments. Possibly an oral antihistamine prescription will help too. I treated from September 26, 2011 through August 25, 2012, 48 weeks total. I developed psoriasis late in treatment, about week 40 or 42.
I was on Humira for 7 months when my psoriasis came back with vengeance. It seems really weird to me that something like that should only work for that long. So I stopped taking it. I told my dermatologist and he said that it doesn't work for everyone. That's it! He couldn't have cared less! I guess I should tell anyone reading this I've had plaque psoriasis for 9 years and flexure psoriasis for about 6.
Hello, I've had psoriasis since 1989 but am new to this forum. My psoriasis has been really bad lately, it covers pretty much my entire body. I tried light therapy without much success. I currently just use topicals- Olux Foam & vectical. My Doctor has suggested moving on to Humira, Remicade or Enbrel. Was wondering if any of you have used any of these drugs? I'm very concerned about their side effects.

I have tried everything, salix, clobetisal, light therapy. Currently taking Humira shots & Chinene Herbs & diet changes. I am also getting weaned off Effexor. I have cracks on my feet. It is clearing up, but it's NEVER ending. Also since mid Aug. my ankles swell. But they switch. Some times both, sometimes 1 then the other. It's NOT a blood clot, I had a Doppler.
I am now on a Medication called Humira for my psoriasis. I was recently told by my Dermatologist that some sort of fungus showed up in my Chest X-ray which she is concerned about. For some reason she didn't know that I had already started the Humira (she had to have signed for it). Anyways to get to the point she said that with this Fungi that showed in my X-ray, it could errupt. She doesn't know what it is so she is now sending me to an Upper Respirtory Dr.

During this time I continued with plaquenil and humira. Within the last week my joints have gotten more painful and my muscles also more painful (dx with fibromyalgia also). Two days ago I noticed a mole on my lower back with a raised red area around it and currently there are several areas going From there down my left hip. It itches but is also very sore underneath the areas when pressed on. Right now they just look like a hive.
When I walk on cold concrete barefoot the bottom of my feet feel as if they are burning under the skin when warming back up and when washing my hands in cold or hot water they feel as if they are on fire. In Nov of 2004 my derm finally talked me into Enbrel. it worked great... until about 18 months later. I was on my way to work one morning and felt my lips going numb.

Could this be Psoriatic Arthritis, Lupus, or Fibromyalgia ? I have psoriasis for about 12 years and I am 42 years old. For about a year now I have a cycles of pain. Sometime I will go a few weeks without a cycle, sometimes a few days. During the cycle I am tired, my muscles tighten and I have pain and weakness around the joints in my hands, neck and lower back. I am always in pain to a certain extent but during a cycle it is much worse.
