Avatar m tn ive had this hole in my plantar of my foot for awhile and it seems to be getting deeper and looks simular to a wart and signs of seeds ( like a scab inside my foot) now its starting to make other on the left and right side. i dont know what to do or where to go.
Avatar f tn Also, the shoe must have a high back as the shoe actually works in conjunction with the brace. When you lift your foot up, if the shoe is not high enough, the brace will not lift with your foot. The shoe I found, which I order online, is made by "Avia"." It is a black or white sneaker with velcro straps and comes for women and men. You remove the insole, and the brace will fit inside.
Avatar f tn I got a rock in my shoe walking back from the store (I live in the city). I tried to balance on one leg while I got it out, but I couldn't keep my balance and had to put my bare foot down on the sidewalk. I'm freaking out! I'm so worried I got some sort of awful disease from some bacteria from dried dog poop or something, or that a tiny piece of glass is on my foot and going to get into my skin and cause an infection. Please help!
Avatar n tn Went through x-rays etc... the doctor put a pad in my shoe that lifted up the middle of my foot from underneath, just behind the pad of my foot to make my foot less falt and more rounded on the top. After a few weeks it worked. Do you go barefoot alot or wear flips or any shoe withour arch support??
Avatar f tn Everyone is different. Sometimes they go back to normal, sometimes they don't. I worked at a shoe store and I heard so many ladies say they went up a shoe size with every kid. Yikes! I hope mine go back down because I have a closet full of shoes that don't fit me!
Avatar f tn Generally, for your foot type you might need a shoe that has less EVA material at the midsole, athletic only. The EVA is the support in the shoe. Seeing a foot doctor is one of your best options but educate yourself on the impact that the arch support and shoe's have on your feet. And since it sounds like your arches are dropping then its important that you are in the right combination of shoe + orthotic. There are some podiatrists that work or refer their patients to specific shoe stores.
Avatar n tn t need to come back in 4 weeks if my foot seemed better. He also said I could wear the little orthopedic shoe and in two weeks, I could go into a tennis shoe. I really had very little pain. My ankle is still swelling, every night, on both sides of my foot, and one of my toes is black. My foot is now burning, and everything hurts. What's going on? I'm still walking with a limp. Is this going to take a lot longer to get well?
Avatar n tn Went to chiropractor a year ago and found out one leg is shorter than the other, and one hip is offset from the other. Have tried a heel lift in the right shoe, but seems to have made it worse. Had MRIs on all three areas of spine, only abnormal result being spinal stenosis C5-C7. It doesn't sound like that diagnosis explains everything. I had a foot scan at chiro as well, and revealed my right foot is fairly flat. Could all of my problems stem from that or from my hip?
Avatar m tn Hello, I have a question : i was in istanbul and wearing slippers. I accidentaly scratched my foot finger in somebody's shoe while crossing the street. Do I need to worry about something? Thank you.
Avatar m tn Research says they start in weak, stressed spots sometimes, usually near the ankle. Mine is right where a seam of my athletic shoe crosses the foot; it probably started there because I always wear the same shoes everyday all day. Mine started about 10 years ago, and has grown a bit more and more each year. It started out that it occasionally hurt but now it hurts frequently when pressed (putting on shoes) or when the tissues shift (upon standing) or shifting positions in bed.
Avatar f tn Has absolutely nothing to do with anything you do, I found out after my nephew was born last year it was genetic for mine since he ended up having it also which in most cases it is in males! I took him at just a couple weeks old to start the process, it didn't delay his crawling or walking he started walking the day after his first birthday! I also didn't even find out until he was actually born and noticed his feet facing each other, looked like a little froggy!
1094370 tn?1317134825 About three weeks ago, I was walking and my right foot (I guess my toe of my shoe) dragged. Then it happened again last week and then again last night. It was only a slight drag but caught my attention nonetheless. Please tell me this isn't the "toe drop" thing that I read about. I don't remember this happening to me before but quite honestly, I don't know if I'm just more aware of every single little thing that is happening on my body.
1514548 tn?1290451685 Hello, after a surgical procedure to remove sesamoid bone, patients are generally placed in either a rigid-soled shoe or a cast for two to three weeks. Most are instructed to use crutches and to limit the weight they put on the foot during this period. When bone is removed from only one sesamoid, the other sesamoid bone can still provide a fulcrum point for the toe flexors. I hope this helps.
Avatar f tn I have that vibration and buzzing in my left foot all the time, but now my right foot is wanting the left one to share the feeling. I guess it is from the electrical impulses that go haywire with lesions present on the spinal cord. My biggest lesion is at C4 and C5.
Avatar f tn Im tall and so is hubby so my daughter foot is big compare to some kids..it just varies.
Avatar n tn The blood went through my shoe and sock onto my foot. Within a few minutes, removed my shoe and sock and washed my foot in the sink. I dried my foot and rubbed it down with alcohol. I didn’t have any broken skin on either the top or bottom of my foot so I wasn’t alarmed. Didn’t complete an incident report or anything. The nurse manager simply asked me why I threw the show out, stating that I could have cleaned it.
Avatar n tn If the allergy is to one particular shoe only then it could be due to fungus in the shoe. If you are allergic to shoes in general, then you could be having sweat dermatitis, so if there is sweat in feet then a rash appears. You could also be having fungal infection like tinea pedis that gets exacerbated when you wear shoes due to hot and humid environment in a closed shoe.
Avatar m tn i mean if its dark and you dont really see its always possible that a needle will penetrate your shoe sole and than go in your foot. im afraid everytime when i step on something. i mean most of the time it probably is a little stick from a tree or anything but it could very well be a needle. so there is always a danger i think...
Avatar m tn It defiantly can not be a shin splint. This pain is just a few inches above the big toe knuckle. It's been a couple weeks with this pain in the foot. Walking barefoot in my house i feel no pain unless i press on the area then i feel a mass amount even with painkillers. If i have my cleats or runners on i feel pain all the time. I think im defiantly to young for falling arches...
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed w/a Bakers cyst several years ago via kneww MRI. I also have severe osteoarthritis in both knees and just about every place else it can be on a human being and I'm only 60. I've had osteoarthritis since I was diagnosed at age 27. AS far as the Bakers Cyst goes, I saw nothing at all that looked different behind that knee but I had a great deal of pain especially when I extended my leg. Then, it went away.
Avatar f tn This leaves me with a problem keeping my shoes on because of the shrinkage even though I have an insert in my shoe that was made by a prosthetic office. My question is;can my metatarsal bone be rebuilt?I can always stuff something in the toe of my shoe to take up the big toe space but the missing metatarsal bone is very crippling. Can this bone be rebuilt using some of my bone from somewhere in my body and if it can where do they do this surgery?
Avatar f tn This info kind of contradicts the tight shoe theory as they talk about too much movement of the foot in the shoe. Insoles would eliminate slip. They also recommend thick socks. Can you be professionally fitted? Fit is key, they say. https://workbootguide.
