humalog

649848 tn?1534633700 Correct, I don't think Synthroid has skyrocketed like Tirosint has, but I have seen some people complaining it was more expensive. Perhaps it's in certain regions and areas? Insurance issues and switches? Whatever the case, paying triple the amount you used to for it is outrageous! I remember back in high school, one of my teachers making a good point regarding my insulin: (I'm a type 1 diabetic.
453798 tn?1262633421 I have to inject 4 times (CD3, CD5, CD7, and CD9). Each vial cost me about 59.75. i pay out of my pocket 249.00 for 4 vials. I bought follistim over the phone with special pharmacy. they have 75IU vial. so they sent me 4 vials. pretty cheap comparing all pharmacy around my area. Fertility med is expensive. sometimes you have to spend money on what you want to get. i believe it worth it. good luck to you.
Avatar n tn I let the Humalog warm up, then fill the new resevoir (trying like heck to keep bubbles out, lubricating the resevoir stopper so I don't get any non-delivery alarms, etc.).
Avatar n tn m not at 10 units) and it seems like the R is not working at all. I have even changed the bottle just in case there was something wrong with that vial and nothing has changed. I've though of just goign to Humalog (which I use at dinner) however I like R in the morning since i dont have to give myself another injection at lunch. Anyone can help with an explanation of what could possibly be going on?
Avatar n tn s digested more slowly that what the carb coverage with Humalog allows. I usually end up doing a correction bolus of a couple units of Humalog something like six hours after the meal to get my readings down to normal. Some people have problems with potatoes, others with white flour breads -- so you'll have to discover what carbs you're sensitive to and keep an eye out for higher than normal readings if you eat them.
1014822 tn?1338648073 t compare prices but can tell you that I am on gonal-f and it costs $325 per vial. That is the price negotiated with my insurance, so for someone with different insurance it might cost more or less. How many vials you need depends on your dose and how fast your folls grow. I used 3-4 vials for 1 cycle. Women on the highest dose would use 1 vial per day. Good luck!
Avatar m tn older insulin Humalin-N has an onset of 15 - 30 minutes compared to the modern insulins such as Aspart (novorapid for me) and Humalog, which have an onset of about 10 - 15 minutes. Moderate acting insulins are the ones we use for basal (background) insulin. Examples are Humalin-R (older insulin), levemir, lantus etc. Then we have the action profile: whether there is a peak or not. The older insulins, particularly humalin-R do not have a flat action profile.
1672951 tn?1303944089 please help my endo dr prescribed an emergency dexomthasone emegency pen for adrenal crisis and the local pharmacies dont make this anymore, then she wrote for the kit, with the syringes, vial of dexamethasone but they told me they dont get that either. Avatar n tn His physical activity during the 2 hour periods after taking Humalog are about the same. The dosage criteria for Humalog are about the same (He takes one unit of Humalog for each 10 carbohydrate grams in the morning and one unit of Humalog for each 12 carbohydrate grams at dinner). The only other difference is that he takes NPH at the same time as Humalog in the am and does not take NPH at the dinner meal.
544772 tn?1321285209 s more now, but still affordable. This Lantus (outrageous cost) and Humalog (not without a script) just kill me! :-) Thanks for the sympathy!
Avatar n tn I am waiting for supplies to come that will allow me to change from shots to the pump, but in the meantime, my after dinner blood sugars still dive very quickly. I cut my Humalog and NPH doses in half and eliminated the use of Ultralente but I am still having the same problem. My blood sugar will go down 100-150 mg/dL or more within an hour of eating (even when eating carb-rich meals). No matter what I seem to do, this trend occurs. Are there any other individuals with this problem?
415867 tn?1323365503 My doc and I have made a plan so to speak. Next month I will be doing Clomid with injectables (FSH and HCG) with 2 office ultrasounds (baseline and day 12). I am waiting for the estimate.... anyone have experience?? how much should I expect the estimate to me? After the "injectable months" (we will try 2-3 she said) if they don't work then we will go to IUI and that will cost around $600-700 she said per month. Any info would be so helpful!
Avatar m tn Hi! I'm in a 20ui HUMALOG after meals regiment, however, in between meals and during the night my blood sugar levels drop below 70. Should I stop taking the HUMALOG?
Avatar n tn I started controlling my blood sugar using Regular insulin About 3 years ago, my doctor moved me to humalog. Using humalog was not easy. I looked at the study that was done and it never reacted as expected when I used it. It was taking 2 hours to start working and in by the third hour my glucose level would drop 200 to 250. It was also hard for me to sense when my blood sugar is low. That was very frustrating. After six month of roller coaster, my doctor put me on Novolog.
Avatar n tn I know our readings are different in canada , 5 to 7 is normal.I have had sugars as high as 32 and used 10 units of humalog , half an hour later I am 34 , I don't understand this ? What is the ratio of humalog to carbs ? I had the flu and I know it can really mess up your sugars , but this was a month ago .Also , I generally feel better when my sugars are around 13 , anything below that and I feel the efects of hyperglycemea , I know that does,t make sense , but it is how I feel.
Avatar m tn Is it common for someone with type 2 diabetes to be on Humalog 3X daily and Lantus 1X daily?
419990 tn?1228259126 last time i bought Repronex cost me about $300 for 4 vial. This cycle I bought Follistim from one of the pharmacy that's my dr gave me and it's cost me $250 for 4 vial. The doctor charge me $350 for IUI. Last month alone, I spent almost $1000 for meds, IUI, sonogram, etc.... This month I do expect about the same. Scary huh?....... that's why i said financially i am burn.
Avatar n tn I have recently been switched to Lantus & Humalog and I have some questions. I take it in the morning. If I awake with an abnormal blood sugar (too high) I assume I would take a small dose of fast acting. Would I also take a small dose of fast acting if my blood sugar is normal, as to cover my breakfast? I know to count the carbs before the lunch meal and the dinner meal, but didn't ask about the breakfast meal.
Avatar n tn My 9 year old son was changed to Humalog in October. Within 24 hours we noticed a complete change of personality. He became moody, violent to his siblings, abusive and completely unpleasant nearly all of the time. We stuck it out for a week and then changed him back to his normal insulin. His behaviour went back to normal very quickly. We then put him back on the humalog and left him on it.
Avatar n tn my fathers blood sugar is 224 how many units of levemir flexpen do i give him his Dr put him on a sliding scale. i dont know what the dosage is ???? i give him humalog the scale is 200 to 250/ 5 units and so on. Is there a guideline of units for levemir ?
Avatar n tn I know this is different for everyone - but generally, what is the ratio for the # of mg/dml units dropped by 1 unit of insulin. Like Humalog U100 R. Does anyone know? Lilly (the mfg. of Humalog) said that they didn't have those numbers (I didn't believe that). Just curious. I asked a Diabetes Trainers from my hospital and she didn't have an idea either.
Avatar n tn com/health/drugs/humalog#humalog-vs-novolog Often Humalog is given with other medication along with it. You may need that approach.
Avatar n tn Type 1 for 40 years, good control but disagree with the constant increase in Lantus she adds every visit) Too many lows, not associated with Humalog, then too many rebounds after eating. I have almost perfect days when I slightly reduce the Lantus she prescribes. It's very frustrating, and she thinks this would be a good thing.
209227 tn?1242346745 Is there a difference between Humalog and Novolog insulins? I was told there are exactly the same. But is this true?
