concerta

I Had Those Side Effects Before With Ritelin. But Not Concerta. My Dr. Siad That Differents Drugs Work Differently Depening On The Person, Their Age, And The Dose They Are Taking. Its Best To Listen To The Dr. Mine "Tested" A Few Drugs On Me To See Which One Worked The Best. And By "Tested" I Mean I Took Concerta For A Few Months To See How It Effected Me And How Well It Worked.
I had been taking 10mg for about 8 months and decided to quit cold turkey due to <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>weight</span> gain. I experienced the light-headedness, dizziness and odd feeling after 6 days. I have been trying to take 5mg only when the withdrawel gets really bad. I can feel the tension in my jaw and neck and then the dizziness starts. It has been 17 days now and the biggest problem is the nausea. I will get an overwhelming urge to throw up, usually in the morning. Anybody experience that? Or know how long it lasts?
Glad to hear that things are working out for you! Do you find that you use the meds on an as needed study/test basis or just do a daily long lasting one? (If you don't mind my asking) By the way this is a very interesting site for adults with ADD/ADHD http://jeffsaddmind.com/for-first-time-visitors Please keep posting. Its good to hear from people who "have been there". Best wishes.
My doctor also prescribed Phenteramine 37.5 mg for <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>weight</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>loss</span>. I take both together in the morning. I do go to him every month and have a check up so he can check my blood pressure...it is always low anyways. But he does keep a close eye on me. Also, if I have something stressfull happen in my life, I drop the phenterimine for a couple of days to prevent an anxidy attack. Phenteramine does make you anxious,,, more so than the adderall or Concerta.
Go onto your search Engine and see for your self the out- rage of what these Drugs are doing to children ,most of whom are simply suffering from lack of parents focusing on the positive side of their childs behavior and channelling their energys in constructive ways, Parents of children with attention deficits also need to face their own fears that they are somehow to blame for this disorder-and to give themselves credit for all they do to set clear guidelines ,reinforce responsible behavior.

I came back to the nurse a second time, and I decided to lay down to rest for a bit. After a few minutes, I went into the bathroom to splash some water on my face. When I looked into the mirror, I noticed something was very strange about my eyes. As I looked closer, I soon realized that my pupils were dilating and then becoming small again in a random, vaguely spasmodic motion. They were bigger than usual, and my left was bigger than my right.
I started out on a 30day trial of Vyvanse but at that time last yr, Vyvanse hadn't been approved in my state for adults so I was only ab le to get the 30day trial. It has since been approved for adult use. So then I started on Adderall XR and was fine for awhile. Although I do like Vyvanse better and next month will be switching back to it. But the thing of it is, we all know med's that treat ADHD are stimulants.
Welcome to the forum! And thanks for being the first to post and break the ice so to speak. Your story is not unlike most of us who have Fibromyalgia and/or CFS. I was 17 when I first was diagnosed with sciatica and it wasn't until I was 31 when my foot was completely numb that I was able to convince a doctor to take an X-Ray of my lower back, which started a domino effect of MRIs and testing.
In retrospect I can pick out attacks that occured clear back to 1989. These included <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>loss</span> of use in my right arm for about ten days, an attack of optical neuritis in both eyes, many bouts with fatigue, a couple of issues with vertigo and a whole string of urinary tract infections. The docotrs always had explanations - pinched nerve in your back, maybe an inner ear infection, and their favorite catch all - stress or depression. Since my diagnosis I have had two major attacks.
The doctors need to run test for everything to rule out other things ,and send them to someone to talk to about what is going on with there loved ones life.
Close observation for clinical and laboratory evidence of altered effects is recommended for both agents. Patients should be advised to notify their physician if they experience <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>loss</span> of therapeutic effects. carbamazepine ⇔ clonazepam Applies to:Tegretol (carbamazepine), Klonopin (clonazepam) Moderate Drug Interaction MONITOR: Carbamazepine may reduce serum clonazepam levels. I poured my blood and sweat into my job, and in the end, it seemed like to me that it was all for nothing. This is painful for me to write because the memories themselves are still open wounds, and after a year and a half of therapy, and finding out my therapist/counsel doesn't see eye to eye with me on the medication abuse I've been put through, I have now lost yet another therapist, and I have no one left in the medical field I feel I can connect to.
The point is that It sounds like your doctor has a sound medical reason to prescribe for your condition. I think that the answer to your question, " any ideas how i can stop worrying about ritalin." can be answered in one word - TRUST. Well, I probably should also add COMMUNICATION. There is so much conflicting information out there, that unless you are really trained at reading the stuff - reading the stuff won't help. Frankly, you have to trust your doctor.
Thyroid doses to get to certain desired level is different for each person and depends some what on age, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>weight</span>, gender, etc. Its not an exact science and becomes a hit and miss situations or trial and error. The important point would be go low and slow with adjustments doses and levels. TSH is a lager and may not do what its going to do right away and might take 6 weeks or longer. I had my TSH take over a year before it finally bottomed out to its desired level, however not mine.
Or is it my imagination? (ps, I tried to add tags, and pressed <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>weight</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>loss</span> techniques by accident. Sorry for this, I cannot remove this tag. When I press the little x it does not change.
just chalked it up to him having ADHD. Needless to say, I switched to a new Dr. that put him on <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>Concerta</span>. That behavior I spoke of earlier went away!!! Then just last year, I was watching a news program ( 20/20 or 60 min.) the topic was Adderall, there were quite a few personal stories, all w/ the same effects, PSYCHOTIC EPISODES!!
) So here I am and I don't really know what to do. I like the fact that Wellbutrin aids in <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>weight</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>loss</span> so that is a plus because I need to lose 100lbs now. I was 40lbs overweight last year before I got pregnant. So I am afraid to take anything that may make me gain anymore! The goal here is to loose and loose a lot! I can even find the energy or motivation to hit the gym which I desperately need to do. I have heard that you can take 5-HTP and Wellbutrin together.
He called her in today for more blood work as she is indeed positive for syphilis and has been for some time, no telling how long or who from. Could this possibly explain my signs and symptoms? I am scared to death. What would this mean for my husband? My children? (both of my boys were born via C-Section) Please help by letting me know if this is possible.
Do you have any tips for living with an adult with ADHD? Amen: Yes: * Be patient * Go to their doctor appointments so you can understand and help them follow through * Never yell at an ADHD person. Many people who have ADHD are conflict driven. They play this game called "Let's have a problem." Whether at home or at work they may stir things up to get stimulated, and if people take the bait it can end up in a chronically conflicted relationship.
The warning details the significant risks posed when Adderall is taken for non-therapeutic use or is distributed to others. The Adderall black box warning also states that misuse of Adderall can cause sudden death and serious cardiovascular events. # SUDDEN DEATH According to February 2006 reports, at least 24 Adderall deaths were reported to the FDA between 1999 and 2003.
Thats the highest dose and its <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>weight</span> regulated. Your MD may want to increase because it may not be enough for him. How is he in school? what is his environment? what is his response to his mother? and what are ALL his triggers? These are important factors to be considered.. Let me know.. As a side note recently my daughter has been crazy, with her behavior. The doctor wanted to put her on an evening medication. I decline.. I had her tested for free at insititute by my house.
3 days now 25mg. 2 x a day for a week working up to 100mg/day. Looking forward to the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>weight</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>loss</span> part - have lots to lose! Have tried many things in the past for headaches. The soda thing is interesting. I love Coke and took a sip yesterday and couldn't drink it cuz it tasted weird. Never occurred to me it could be the meds. Thanks for any info.
Klonopin could be for anxiety or as a side effect pill for the Risperal. <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>Concerta</span> is for adhd. Have they confirmed that you absolutely need that? That sounds like the main offender here. Do not make any changes on your own of course but have them do a medication review. Sometimes polypharmacy can be hazardous if not done properly. I should know because when I had two antipsychotics prescribed at once that is how I developed tardive dyskinesia in the first place.
For a person who is experiencing this for the first time...it can be VERY upsetting and disturbing. I was there before as well...the first time I went through this, I was convinced there was something wrong with my eyes. Everything just "looked" so weird, so odd. I almost felt like I was having out of body experiences...or was watching the world through a movie projector, instead of through my own eyes and mind.
If you're not having symptoms like frequent urination, massive thirst, increased hunger, and <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>weight</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>loss</span>, I would guess that this has nothing to do with diabetes. I don't know about the MS, but a neurologist would be the person to see about that too.
I agree completely with the post that says don't go on meds for <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>weight</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>loss</span> if you just have a little to lose and are able to lose it through natural means. But again just for your information, I will tell you what I am doing. Because I am definitely not in the "little to lose" category! I take a weekly injection at a clinic. It is a combo of B-12 and hcg. I also take an appetite suppressant called Bontril everyday.

From age five I have tried to teach him how to ride a bike, but it was impossible to do. He learn how to ride a 10 speed in one day just three days ago. Before he would get upset if he couldn't do something and give up trying. Now he does it until he gets it right. He is setting still in class and paying attention now. I am sorry if you think I am wrong in giving my son something natural instead of the hard drugs that could mess up his body for life or even kill him in the end.
a few instances of scalp hair <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>loss</span>. In children, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>loss</span> of appetite, abdominal pain, <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>weight</span> <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>loss</span> during prolonged therapy, insomnia, and tachycardia may occur more frequently; however, any of the other adverse reactions listed above may also occur. Not so harmless is it? BTW despite what anyone tells you Ritalin is not approved for under 6 year olds, any doctor prescribing to this age group is taking a dangerous step as it has not been tested or monitored.
