But, I do know they can go all types of things to boost your estrogen until your brain decides to do it on its on (your pituitary gland in your brain is what tells your body to produce estrogen). I believe it is easier to boost estrogen that progesterone. I am 8wks1dy PG and on my first beta, my HCG was 94 and my Progesterone was 17.4. Try not to stress out, because stress will affect your hormone levels. Keep doing the patch they gave you....Keep us posted on your success...
any of the estrogen in any event. Whatever estrogen was in your body before the ablation, the amounts are unchanged after the ablation. It is irrelevant whether the lining is shed or not, estrogen wise.
I will also make a note to get Vitamin D tested, and looks like magnesium too. I am worried how thyroid and estrogen are both low simultaneously -- I am only 28 but my estradiol is menopausal. Will ask for FSH tested to rule out ovarian failure. But do you think there might be a link here to hypothalamus/pituitary, given that multiple hormones are off balance? Should I get a head scan?
Foods that are high in vitamins B and C, zinc and fatty acids are among the best in helping a woman to become pregnant, and are more effectively absorbed and utilized by the body than supplements. What to Eat for Enhanced Fertility Heller suggests that women add the following five nutrient-rich foods to their diet to enhance their fertility: Yams, which are rich in folate, as well as vitamins C and B6.
breasts be easier to read? When I ask how dwe know chemo working am told will know when U are here in 5 years. All we'll do is mammos/ultra 2X year, blood work & chest x-rays 2X a year. Shldn't there be more? Seems like not enough with all I will have gone through. What about MRIs? CAT Scans? I've asked about a PET scan but they say alot of $ and can produce false results. That its better to get baseline with CAT Scans, etc.
too much progesterone = too much estrogen= m/c. With the cream you can monitor your own dose according to how you feel -how you feel is the best indicator of P levels. As I said I only take a spec at ovulation when I encounter a thirst that won't leave me and when I cannot stop going to the bathroom several times an hour. I am nearly 11 weeks now and things are much better since I monitor P accoding to my body's needs. I hope you have a beautiful baby tandkfisher or maybe even two!
I'm so sorry to read your post. I can feel the pain in your words & just how sad you are. You have really been through a lot & it s u c k s that it's taken so long & that you didn't feel like you were taken seriously before. You're right. It is good to finally have someone get to the root of the problem & get you healed and ready to ttc again. Please don't lose hope! You have endured so much & I'd hate to see you throw in the towel now.
The way it was explained to me is that parabens can mimic the hormone estrogen which has been verified to play a role in breast cancer (1). When you are using a product like deodorant that is applied near or even on those areas in my opinion is quite frightening. There have been other studies which could link reproductive problems with parabens.
OR, they may tell you that if you're going to tell them how to treat you to find another doctor! IF, by chance, your TSH test result is higher than 5.5, they MAY give you an Rx for Synthroid which is a T4 only synthetic (potent) drug. But then they MAY say that you're "borderline" hypO and "we'll just keep an eye on it and come back in 6 months", and then they'll refill your Rx for Prozac, Celebrex, Zocor, Zelnorm, etc.
High levels of LH signal to the corpus luteum cyst (the cyst the was produced when the follicle burst) to produce progesterone. The OVARY continues to produce progesterone in increasing quantities for about 7 days after ovulation. It is also producing estrogen in high quantities. If pregnancy has not occurred, these high levels of progesterone and estrogen signal the pituitary gland to turn off production of FSH and LH.
Twenty days is not long enough for your serum T4 level to fully reflect the dose you started 20 days ago. In addition, you can't know how well your body is converting the T4 to T3 without testing Free T3. When you do go back for testing, I suggest that you should also test for Vitamin D. B12, selenium and ferritin. Hypo patients are frequently too low in the ranges for those as well.
Estrogen can cause more thyroid hormones to bind to protein and become useless to cells. I just noticed that in her labs from 11/13, TT3 is well over range, but by 5/14, FT3 (FT3 is the unbound portion of TT3) is very low in the range. Back in 3/13, TT3 was low, so it's kind of all over the place. Of course, there's also 14 months time in there. Has anyone ever tested your daughter for thyroid antibodies? Her current labs could suggest Graves' disease (autoimmune hyperthyroidism).
I am sorry to hear about how your boyfriend is treating you, he just doesn't seem to understand what you are going through. Being hypo is extremely hard on a person both physically and mentally. Hang in there and I hope you can get home!
If RT3 is high then your cells may get plugged by useless RT3 and the high levels of T3 you have in your blood can't get to the cells. You may also want to get Vit B-12 tested. Your Ferritin levels while in the range are pretty low in the massively wide range. I've read that thyroid function works better when ferritin is above 70.
my husband loved my bigger chest but couldn't touch'em they hurt too bad. yeah your going to go crazy for awhile hate to say. You'll be in tune with your body on every twich and sensation thinking somethings wrong or "am I PG!" Don't do a test(easier said than done) i was given the ok only the day b4 my actual appt. I wanted to be prepared as apposed to shocked...that's just me though.
I am confused on what happens next, but as I recall, the cells do produce hormones and in fact can grow cysts that would only produce more hormones. If one has been Dx with Ovarian cancer or there were cancer cells or even borderline cancer cells, you can imagine how difficult it is to get the news that not all of an ovary has been removed. I guess the word "remnant" says it best. I will see what else I can find out tomorrow unless I get home too late...but, I will get back here!
Because if you increase your testosterone level through medicine then you might not be able to produce it by your self in normal way it may getting decreased, so for first medication i will recommend to get a better diet that can help you to increase your testosterone level. you should eat eggs, carrot, orange , black paper, strawberry , raspberry, Pomegranate, tuna, pine apple, avocado and almonds. also try to loose some weight .
The pages are from NIH and state that estrogen/birth control pills have an effect on both tests and will give a false reading that has to be accounted for in interpreting your labs. All the more reason to find a birth control method that works for you at the start of your treatment instead of one that is giving you side effects that are also cited by women on that pill who do not have thyroid issues. The extreme rage and depression you talk about is not unusual on Loestrin...
According to a report in Science Daily, a new Canadian study shows that children exposed to high concentrations of manganese in drinking water performed worse on tests of intellectual functioning than children with lower exposures. The results were published in an article in Environmental Health Perspectives.
Progesterone and estrogen cause the body to produce more pigment. Other causes of darkened areolas in women can be due to aging, menstruation and medications. Since it is only after 3 days of intercourse and you had taken the post coital pills, so chances of pregnancy are less. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
I too have been looking for the answers to how soon do I wait and though I haven't found any research to back up waiting two or more cycles or three months I have found consistent suggestions to wait at least three weeks to allow my body to adjust to the change in hormone levels and to assure that my body has cycled everything out of my system.
And then, you are making what I personally see as the only decision there is to make. I won't even begin to imagine that I can truly understand how it feels to be in your position but I am certain that if I were in your place I would be doing the same. Heather, what else are you supposed to do? It must be hideously difficult to have to make this decision, particularly after you've had so much time with all three, but as I said, I don't believe there is another one to make.
Testosterone has many direct and indirect benefits to your body. Some of the testosterone is converted into estrogen by your body, and it circulates in the bloodstream to all of your tissues where it has a direct effect on many organs. It helps to build bone and thus reduces osteoporosis. Its steroid features prevent muscle loss that often occurs with aging. Testosterone directly affects the brain and increases libido.
I took my first round of clomid 50 mg twice a day and finished on Monday since then I have been have cramps and nausea is this normal and I wanted to know how long did you all wait to check and see if your first cycle was successful?

In case anyone else has this problem, I want my experience to be available to them. There was very little to read on the DURATION of initial phenobarbital side effects on the web, and I was very frightened by what I saw. So, here's what happened with my dog. The side effects (which were severe) lasted approximately three weeks. It is possible that they can last this long. Most people say they go away in a day or two, but in very sensitive dogs, it takes much longer.
So I was taking my clomid pill this morning and popped it out of the blister pack over the sink (duh) and I didn't get my hand under in time and the little bugger went down the sink. Well as you guys know you have to take all 5 pills or it won't work - so was like really annoyed because it was the last repeat on my prescription. I went to my pharmacy and explained what happened and asked if they could just give me one pill. They wouldn't do it!!
] There are are plenty of men who have muscle / tendon pain with hypothyroid. In your statement above it looks like your pointing to lower estrogen and DHEA from your hypothyroid as the reason for pain. Men can get lower testosterone from low thyroid, I dont think it causes more muscle pain though, dont really know for sure. What I do know is hypo will upset the chemical balance in tendon and muscle tissue in both genders.
I'm glad that I was able to come to a point where I did not let these doctors get in the way of how my life was being effecive. I now consider thes doctors idiots and have the family doctor refer me to a different specialist. The funny part is that I had to end my career first in 2003 before this other urologist placed me on testosterone replacement therapy. My wife and children remarked on how much stress was relieved and how my moods had improved.
