At the doctors office every time you go in you leave a urine sample. They test for drugs there to start. All that goes in your chart which gets passed to the hospital and reported. That is what my Dr told me. How the hospital does I don't know and what CPS does from there I don't know...

If you are a regular user it takes 30 days to get weed out of your system to pass a drug test. So even if they do drug test you at the hospital it will be long gone from your system by then. But I would still let the doctor know that you were using up untill you found out you were pregnant. That way they can run some tests on the baby just to make sure everything is good! & it's not like you did it on purpose. You had no idea you were pregnant!

No it won't appear on your blood work. They have to be testing you for that certain drug in order for them to know your doing it.

Where I live you can't have weed, it's still illegal and she needs to talk to her doctor for alternatives or permission. So far, nada. She's a nice lady and all. She's also very generous. I just think she should get options from her doctor. I wouldn't want her to get randomly drug tested and come positive without talking to a healthcare provider.

Everyone is different. Like you i smoked to help with the beginning n once or twice bc of the pain (wisdom tooth growing) but like you quit when it want needed anymore. But i nursed my daughter for a year while i smoked n she is fifteen months walking talking and her doctors say she's advanced. You need to be a little bit more educated on the subject before judging others. You don't know how often this person smokes or even what kind they do smoke. You don't know where they get it from or anything. It all depends on the person. Chances are since this person has been smoking it for a while it will not have such an impact on it as someone who just started smoking it. Do a little research.

in PA, if they test you and baby and it comes up positive they will contact Child Services. You will be set up to where you have to take random urine test. If your urine comes up positive after that then they will take your baby. Chances are they won't just snatched your child from you at birth because of marijuana. Thats what your urine samples are for lol its one of the things they test. If they get suspicious then they test. And will continue to if they have a hunch in a state thats illegal. Also in florida and arkansas they test your babys meconium after birth since the drugs will stay in the babys poop. If its positive they immediately take away your rights and out the child up for state custody.
