hi everyone, as you may know I have been tapering off codiene, today i went down to 60mg. I got a phone call this afternoon to attend a job interview (I am currently on leave from my job and looking for a new one). Because I cut down today (before the phone call) I will probably feel awful in the morning when I wake up, thats taking into account if I even sleep.

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and I am graduating with my bachelor's in May at the top of my class. I have an internship now and a part time job, neither have benefits or consistent hours. I planned to search for a full time career position for graduation and then I found out I was pregnant. Do I continue to search? Or should i try to stick it out until the baby comes in September? How do I handle an interview? I know they legally can't ask and can't discriminate.

Just read on ur profile that u were termed bcuz u could not return to work bcuz of how u feel....so that brings us back to ur statement of not knowing how u r going to do this... Have u been to a Chiari specialist?

d go and just be honest tell them how far along you are and how long you plan to work also tell them as soon as your ready you will come back after the baby is born

I'm almost 30w 1d today and tomorrow I have an interview for a medical receptionist. I'm excited but very unsure how to handle it, as of right now they do not know I'm pregnant. Should I dress in a lose shirt and try to hide it for the interview or should I just dress nice and hope that they don't judge my by my belly? I could really use the job, it is full time and I would be getting paid better than my hubby.

I have an interview on Wednesday and was not going to mention the whole pregnancy thing yet. If i get the job then I will have to mention it sooner than later. I am not really showing so it wont be noticable. I was wondering what you ladies through of that. Thanks for your input. I just dont want to ruin my chances of being considered for this job.

I recently lost my job, what was obviously due to my pregnancy. Of course they can't say that's the reason. I've still not been told why. I have an interview soon and nervous about walking in with an obvious protruding belly. Do I mention the pregnancy? I'm only 13 wks but I began showing quickly this time. Technically if she didn't say she didn't want to interview you because of your being pregnant she won't get in trouble even though you know thats the reason, most places won't interview a pregnant woman who is showing they will usually say something like oh we are looking at other candidates at this time or oh the position has been filled.

Okay I'll be 23 weeks Thursday and I have an interview next Tuesday at a Youth behavorial facility. The supervisor told me I would be working with the mentally challenged from ages 7-17. So I pretty much have it in the bag. But I'm worried he might change his mind when I get there because I'm pregnant or that I may accidently get hit In the tummy, as he said some of them can become aggressive. this job pays 11.00 opposed to my current which pays 8.

Dont forced urself to sleep,if u can sleep then fine,if cant then its fine too,at least u had a few hours of sleep.This works very well for me when i was having high anxiety during night time,dont try to stop pushing all those toughts away,by doing so your fighting against ur own feelings,and its a battle u wont win instead let the toughts came and see them for wat they reallly are..they are just toughts and feelings..

So my last job basically told me they were letting go of me cause I was seasonal & there were no more events so it was going to be really slow, but I noticed everyone else who got hired at the same time I did was still on the schedule, so I took it extremely personally & thought it was because I was pregnant which I mentioned to them (my mistake) & my friends & family think the same thing.

I think working with my husband every day was what made me capable of being able to do it. Tomorrow I have a job interview and it isnt going to be working with my husband. I am terrified. I feel sick at the idea of having to go and be without him all day and with strangers. I am extremely co-dependent. We have always been around each other. I dont even like it when he is gone for more than 20 minutes. My anxiety is skyrocketing about this and I really want to be rational.

I didn't tell my job that I was pregnant until I was about 5-6 months when I started to show.

Talk this over with your parents so they can get you therapy to learn how to break free of this fear. Good luck and take care!

I'm 23+1. The job I'm interviewing for is MHT (mental health technician) I'll be dealing with disabled chidlren from ages 7-17. He pretty much told me I had the job over the phone. Just have to go do paper work. I want to tell him during the interview but I don't want to lose the oppourtunity, but not afterwards because like you ladies stated I don't want to feel untrustworthy. I'm really torn about it.

I have had a toothache/facepain for over two weeks, I know I need to go and see a dentist but I have a great fear of going because of cetain circumstances that happened while going to the dentist as a child. I have been taking advil for the pain and most times it is tolerable but now it seems to be getting worse as it is keeping me awake at night.

Well I'm already out of my first trimester. I'm 16 weeks and starting to get a tiny little bump but I don't think a stranger could notice it yet. I've never had morning sickness EVER and I don't want them to think that I'll take tons of days off. The only difference in my performance being pregnant is that I get tired easier and thirstier. My boobs are huge compared to when I wasn't pregnant but I don't think that would give me away. What do you think?

things are looking up, i have a job interview this week, which is good. at the same time the pospect of a job interview makes anxious and depprresed. like i am just going to fail. i dont know but ii am so tired sleeping like 12-14 hours a day and i am still tired have no energy. i am already on anti depppresets. among other meds. been on them for more than a year. so meds wont help. any way i dont really want to drink what i want is relife from the horrible obsseion to drink.

I do want to say that I know how hard this is and I think you are doing a great job trying to keep it all headed down a healthier path. It has to be hard though feeling like you have secrets from your husband. Probably every wife has 'some' but it doesn't feel great. You are not a horrible person for this situation! I would tell them asap. I am now 39 weeks and got a new job at 22, I didn't tell them at first and when my boss found out she was really mad. Cut my hours and eventually stopped putting me on the schedule at all. I now don't have a job. Luckily my boyfriend works but its a hard spot to be in, and if you want any maternity leave (doctors suggest you take 6 weeks, that's how long it takes your body to heal) then they'll have to know pretty soon to arrange it.

Show them your interest and express that during your interview. Let them know how long it is you've been waiting for this job opportunity even if it's not the best timing possible. Even if you don't get the position at least you show them you have the curage to walk in there with your belly attempting for a shot at possibly the one job you've been wanting the most.
