Avatar n tn I have these weird, raised, and various sized bumps on my tongue towards the back and on both sides of my tongue, on the lower half. My tongue feels swollen on both lower sides of my tongue towards the bottom... It is somewhat painful... Just very irritating. Please, someone tell me what is wrong!! I am a very paranoid person in nature and the slightest oddity of my body stresses me out. All I can say for sure is that these bumps are not normal and werent there in the past.
9403329 tn?1403571299 No sure what the white bumps are but most often white on the tongue is fungal related and called thrush. If your worried, do go to the er for a checkup.
469423 tn?1207509695 Does anyone know how long these bumps take to go away....they hurt like crazy....will I have them as long as I take synthroid? I've only been on it for 6 days now....
Avatar m tn m not sure, I have never noticed these bumps before but they are very far back and on the tongue. I have to stick my tongue out all the way and hum to see them. Could it just be lingual tonsils?? They are painless.
Avatar f tn The only treatment for this that I know is to stop your smoke, alcohol, and foods high acid consumption for a few days to a week and the bumps will go away on their own. Consumption of the three causes will only prolong the healing. If you follow the treatments and the problem still persists for a period of 2 wks then you should go see a physician.
Avatar f tn t be contagious sexually unless you are french kissing someone, it is viral, and could never go away, or it could go away and reappear periodically, regardless, you can treat the symptoms, just see a doctor.
Avatar m tn Well, they have been giving me some really bad pain so i keep biting my tongue where they are just to try and get the pain to go away (obviously not smart). Later that day I come to find out that I have two more of these bumps on my tongue that hurt just as bad. I feel like they are just appearing because I keep biting my tongue, but I am worried that they might be herpes. Any suggestions?
12172462 tn?1435281388 ve been using the tung brush to brush my tongue along with another tongue scraper it seems to help but the back of my tongue seems more white and stubborn to remove. The white coating come backs after several hours especially on the back of my tongue!! After I eat, the back of my tongue is whiter than the rest of my tongue. What could this be!! I need help please its driving me insane.
Avatar m tn i went to my doctor and he took a look, and didnt feel there was epididymitis or testicular torsion or anything, and said it would go away. it still hurt the following week, and one night i went to the local clinic and saw a doctor there. she took a look and notices the glans (or whatever connects the testicles) were slightly inflamed. she gave me a weeks dose of anti inflammatories (naproxen) and ordered an ultra sound for the next day.
Avatar f tn I realize that herpes won't go away in 10 minutes. It was that original bump that made me look at the rest of my mouth and the back of my throat and realized that I had other bumps on the back of my throat that didn't go away in 10 minutes. I had planned on getting a full std panel done. Hopefully nothing will show up.
Avatar m tn I have small red bumps all over my tongue. i think they are from when i burnt my tongue but ive never noticed bumps before when i had burnt my tongue. the bumps dont hurt but it looks gross and i want to make sure this is normal.
Avatar m tn It has nothing to do with HPV at all. It is just your taste buds becoming enlarged. They will go away on their own. I also get them when I have had something too hot to drink or eat. Just be careful and don't eat or drink anything too hot or too acidic. Use Listerine to kill the extra bacteria also.
Avatar n tn t remember), and said not to worry about it. She said sometimes they just go away on their own. He is now 7 1/2mths old and they are still there, and 1 is a little red on the tip. I made a Doctors appt. for next week with our family Doc, but I have to wait until August to get in with the Pediatrician. I know I have had swollen tastebuds in the past but they go away within a few days.

Avatar m tn Hello, I was diagnosed with (oral) syphilis back in May. I was immediately treated with two doses of penicillin, which has destroyed the infection. However, my symptoms have never gone away. I still have a swollen lymph node on my neck and my tonsils/tongue are very swollen and are not responding to any treatment: amoxicillin, cephalexin, prednisone, or ibuprofen. My throat has been this way for 6 months now and won't go away. I have also developed bumps on my tongue AFTER treatment.
Avatar n tn A few days ago I noticed severral bumps on my tongue spreading all the way back through my throat. They are slightly elevated and soft. It does not hurt to eat, however, the appearance is awful and I want them to disappear. I went to see the nurse practitioner and she said she's never seen anything like it before and that it might go away on its own. I didnt find this information overlly helpful, and was wondering if anyone had any idea what it could be.
2118271 tn?1337463104 I am finishing a 2 week treatment of Diflucan, and the white stuff does not seem to want to go away. I have discovered that I can brush all of it off with my toothbrush at night, and in the morning there is none there. It seems to accumulate when I eat only, so I try to brush after I eat, which is not always feasible. The fact that this stuff hasn't changed an ounce since using Nystatin or Diflucan, makes me think this is not candida.
863679 tn?1239154667 I have also noticed dry skin on my face in patches and a rash on my lips (small little bumps, no larger than the grit on sandpaper that are reduced and go away within 2-3 days using Benadryl). I notice the hives and bumps mostly when I eat berries. I had a bowl of raspberries on Saturday night and ended up with hives within a few hours, then the next day I had the rash on my lips (which was greatly reduced by topical Benadryl). On Monday night I ate some ice cream with strawberries.
Avatar n tn When I stretch my lips the bumps turn white. They are only on the lips, do not go in the mouth or on the skin around the mouth. There's no itching or swelling or any other symptoms. Any ideas what's gonig on?
1415174 tn?1453243103 I first got an allergy to using a sunscreen. My forehead and cheeks broke out in a face rash that had small red non itcy bumps. That went away but then I have some larger itchy bumps that won't go away. I don't think they are an infection it is related to the allergy. I am only washing my face with Cetaphil and then adding 10% glycerin for some hydration to these spots. Glycerin is a natural substance found in the body and I don't think that is causing a problem.
250701 tn?1320974765 Last time I took treatment about half way through my tongue got these little bumps on it an it wasn't pleasant Now after just a week and a half the same bumps are on my tongue, hurts, Burns so bad when I eat. I remember this from last time because I thought to myself people don't even realize what they have until they don't have it. I know sounds weird. Does anyone else have this problem? If so what r u doing for it?
1855970 tn?1325823613 The past few days I've noticed bumps on the back of my tongue... they were just visible if I stuck my tongue out far and didnt hurt or anything. But today, one of the bumps toward the left side just feels annoying. Like when a popcorn kernel gets stuck on the back of your tongue... thats what it feels like. I tried using a toothbrush to kind of 'brush' it away, and it didnt work.
Avatar n tn s left seems like a slightly reddish, shallow hole in my tongue Sometimes they bumps are clustered near each other. Once a part of the tongue heals, the bumps appear on other parts of my tongue. Sugary foods make it feel even worse. Citrus stings. Talking and eating hurt. You can barely see the whitish bump or the "hole." Most people would look at the tongue and not think it looks unusual. But when I rinse with hydrogen peroxide, the tastebuds get even whiter for a few minutes.
