Any at home inducing methods or methods to help you face that worked for you mommies?? FTM..

Just got back from the hospital and I am having contractions but far apart and not too severe my doctor wants me to try to induce myself at home before she induces me because she said its better if I do it than her because it can end up in a c section . Can someone give me ideas on what to do to induce myself and soften my cervix ?

You can go to the hospital whenever you feel like it, but they'll send you home if there's no reason to keep you. Being 4cm is not a reason to induce, unfortunately.

Hi, there are lots of different things you can try to induce labour but to be perfectly honest if that baby isn't ready to come out then nothing is gonna work! Some things are: eating pineapple, stair climbing, hot bath, sex, long walk, hot curry...there may be more...I tried all of these at term with my 3 children and none of them worked! I had membrane sweeps when I was at my due date with all 3, it never worked once! I ended up being induced with all 3 when I was past my due date.

Well i know they recommend it to induce contractions naturally at home. And im prego with twins so my doctor said no sex at all because it may induce labor. Dont know if that helps...

They hook me up to the monitors said I was having contractions 2 min apart but not strong long ones my doc checked me said I was at 3 cm 70% effaced, then sent me home! I have a couple painful contractions a hour the others are just tightening in my stomach like bh contractions! Anyone have any idea how long it will take before active labor begins?? Truthfully I have to have a c-section because the hospital that I deliver at doesn't do VBAC. My doctor mentioned to me that if I show up at the hospital dialiated to a 9 I wouldn't be taken to the OR. I am so tempted to labor at home and try it. I don't live far from the hospital and I have made it to 6cm at home before. I just don't want to go thru the whole labor thing only to get there too soon and have a csection anyway.

With my first I was induced and with my second I had natural contractions at home. For me being induced was way more painful than labor starting on its own. If u can I would try to wait for your body to be ready rather than the hospital forcing it.

I did the exact same thing as you. I was having false labor contractions for a week honestly they were so consistent and kept coming every 2 our 3 minutes so I began bouncing a day before my due date honestly hours away and at 1 in the morning (my due date) I began having contractions this time they hurt a bit more than before. I kept feeling like I was going to throw up & as if I really needed to go to the bathroom. When I went to use the restroom and wiped I say my mucus plug.

So I haven't been on here lately but I am finally down to 9 days! I have an appointment tomorrow and if my bp hasn't gone down, I'll be induced. Fingers crossed! I'm so uncomfortable. The prostaglandin in sperm, and the orgasm you have during sex, both help to ripen and ready the cervix and uterus and can sometimes start contractions. Please do not try castor oil - this usually just causes diarrhea, dehydration, and can cause the baby to have a bowel movement in utero which can cause a whole host of breathing issues after birth. I am trying for a vbac and have to go into natural labor on my own within the next 2 weeks or so. I dont want to have another csection unless absolutly have to. Anyone have any ideas how to help induce labor naturally at home? I have googled different things...ive tried basil/oregano tea, mac n cheese with a1 sauce, walking about 5 miles aday, doing squats n bouncing, having sex as much as I can stand. I have been eating lots of pineapple not to induce just cause they are yummy but no sign of baby yet!

Just agreeing with them, 6cm is enough to be admitted to labour and delivery. Good luck!
