1942878 tn?1324056800 I'm a fairly normal male that enjoys sex like anyone else, but I've always been a very non-aggressive person and my sex drive has been lower than the typical male and lower than my wife's. When we do have sex, after I finish, I have absolute no desire for a second round. That's how I feel physically, but I really do want to be one of those guys that wants to do it twice in a day or night, or have a higher urge throughout the week.
Avatar m tn If your hormones have decreased, then hormone supplements will not harm. All supplements need routine monitoring to continue, decrease/increase or stop supplementation.
Avatar m tn m just wondering, if the damage is permanent, is there any treatment I can undergo, like medications or low testosterone supplements I can take to increase my low testosterone and help me get my sex drive back and get erections without having to touch just to get one.
Avatar m tn Your testosterone is apparently in the normal range. How do you know that this is low for your age? Also, losing weight only benefits can bring to you if you have it in excess. So, you mean here that you have 100 pounds more than normal for your age and height? That sounds to be a lot, especially combined with a sedentary job. Regardless of testosterone considerations, losing weight is a no-brainer in your case.
Avatar m tn Research has shown that men with low testosterone levels double their risk of developing the metabolic syndrome, since low testosterone levels increase belly fat — which is closely linked to this syndrome. Lack of testosterone can also decrease libido, cause erectile dysfunction, spur osteoporosis and lead to a loss of muscle tone and mass.
7843530 tn?1395009668 So my problems with ovulation might actually be a testosterone imbalance? I was expecting to hear that I had too much estrogen, not too much testosterone! Are there herbal supplements or vitamins that encourage a decrease in testosterone? I don't have insurance so beyond what the walk-in clinic already told me, I'm kind of on my own in terms of trying to fix this. I'd appreciate any further feedback--I'm really tired of skipping periods for no apparent reason!
Avatar n tn I'm sorry this is happening. You can have a reaction to anything. There's probably something in the formulation of the liquid that is giving you a reaction. There are other forms of testosterone you can take. There's a patch you can wear on your arm, or a mouth patch, and a gel you apply directly to your skin, usually on the arm. Talk to your doctor about your treatment options. Here's more info on them - https://www.webmd.
Avatar m tn I have been battling with low testosterone for a few years and trying to address it through natural means. Lost 20 lbs body fat (Now 5'08" 156 lbs 13 % BF), added heavy weight lifting in 3x weekly, eat a low carb high vegetable intake diet with more than adequate fat content, etc. Sadly doesnt seem to be helping.
Avatar n tn If okay, then start exercise such as running and lifting weights to incrase testosterone. You could take L-arginine also. Pumpkin seed supplements are another option.
Avatar f tn You have to take two weeks off because your estrogen will start to increase with continual usage. I figured maybe higher free testosterone increased my metabolic rate, but I’m not sure why it would just now be increasing. Then I thought I might have something wrong with my thyroid, but I’m not sure. I take the daily recommended dosage of iodine in the form of Kelp everyday, but I’ve been doing that for a while. If that was affecting it, then you’d think it would have done so long ago.
Avatar m tn //www.webmd.com/men/features/can-you-boost-testosterone-naturally#1. If you look through that, you may then think back if you had an increase in any of these things or journal your daily habits to look for patterns. Being aware of what the symptoms of high testosterone are and noticing when you have them and then comparing that to your daily habits may be insightful. Far more men have low testosterone and the troubles that go with that.
Avatar m tn Surgery is not the best option and it depends on how serious the case is with sometimes controversial aesthetic results. The problem is that you need to go to the doctor, arrange an ultra sound so he can check how much of your man boobs is actually breast tissue and how much is fat tissue. If its fat tissue there is a lot that can be done depending how seriously bad the situation is. Whey protein will probably empty your pocket but not your boobs for the time being.
Avatar m tn Hi and welcome, i have head that they can increase it but at your age you should have a PSA test done before, as if you are at risk for prostate cancer, adding more testosterone, it can increase the risk.
Avatar m tn Also, to boost your Free T it would be far better to try the natural route with supplements, rather than gels and injections. You can do some researching on your own, but here is a link to some info on that. http://www.livestrong.com/article/266254-how-to-get-higher-levels-of-free-testosterone/ Your low hemoglobin may indicate that you have low ferritin. I suggest that you test and supplement as needed to raise ferritint to 70.
Avatar m tn it was like traveling at 100 mph and coming to a complete standstill (not depressed then) all signs pointed to low testosterone levels, but my testosterone levels were actually on the high side as well as my free testosterone. other wise i am in perfect health. i did suffer from "depression" so 2 years ago my doc put me on wellbutrin and he said that it should increase my libido, but all has stayed the same.
Avatar f tn re female, though you might still grow a bit. Women tend to have their growth spurts earlier than men. Those supplements might help you add muscle and increase testosterone a bit, but not height.
Avatar f tn re taking a supplement, say from GNC, that purports to increase testosterone, first, it might not actually do that, second it might not have in it what it says it does, and third, the amount of increased testosterone from supplements can help with energy but probably not do what you think it does -- and this is in addition to the above correctly noting that it isn't good for you. It also won't make you lose weight if your diet isn't a good diet for you.
Avatar f tn Hi, From the readings given, your T level is more towards the lower range, with a slight increase in the prolactin level and a mid range LH and a low range FSH. In case you do not have any regular head aches and marked mental confusion, the high prolactin level may not be important. I feel your readings are typically of your age group, where one spends a lot of time in academic work combined with poor eating habits and lack of regular exercise.
Avatar m tn Please help and guide how to overcome the problem of low sex desire due to diabetes type2? Some inject able like or some multivitamins containing zinc will be helpful?
8309591 tn?1397596954 Hey there. Thanks for your reply. My diet is in check already. As I said I do powerlifting/bodybuilding and I am therefore very interested in the nutritional side of the lifestyle too. I track not only my kcal intake, but my Protein, Carbs, Fat and fiber intake, without forgetting about micronutrients too, and therefore try to eat at least 2 servings of veggies a day and 2 servings of fruit a day.
