prevacid

168348 tn?1379357075 my daughter uses the solutab, you cant really give a ton of water to an infant. you could ask the pharmacist. i think the tabs are easiest, just pop it in and they disolve.
290867 tn?1333569278 OMG I'm so excited for you!! This is where I'm going to refer to the experts at the reflux forum. I actually used zegerid (another PPI medication) with my daughter. I only know about solutabs from all the wonderful mommies on that board. Please please post on the other forum and ask for more specific help there. Laura (the moderator) has tons of information in her welcome links. Prevacid 101 is one that pops in my head.
290867 tn?1333569278 He woke up and I fed him 4 oz and he took it then about 30 min later projectile vomited it!!! I called the doctor back and she said no more formula for 24 hours! Shesaid to give him pedialite and feed rice with a spoon at 4 and green beans at 7ish. He sucked the greenbeans down (mind you this is the first time he has had food) and took 6 oz of pedialite! She changed his antibiotic from Amoxicillin to Augmenten for a ear infection that he has had since last monday.

Avatar n tn My daughter is 5 and a halfyears old and her doctor has been treating her for the past year with prevacid solutab 15mg daily, which at first relieved her symptoms after a couple of weeks until recently. She is a very active child, she enjoys tumbling and running and cheerleading. Lately she complains that her stomach hurts, she can't breathe and when she states that she tries to take a deep breath and she says "I can't Breathe".
715346 tn?1229786943 t have that effect on me. I take 30mg solutab. But years ago I used to nearly spend the whole day burping. It was just something I did as part of my anxiety ritual. A think I felt I needed to do. But it does come hand in hand with anxiety. You could ask you doctor or local chemist for some tablets to stop wind build ups. They might help you. Hope this post was of some use to you.
Avatar f tn I am pretty sure that I have read in several places that you can give infants up to 4 oz of water or juice a day, but not to give more than that unless it is during the summer months, and then a little more is fine if the baby seems to need it.
8628831 tn?1407267564 Yeah but as long as your baby doesn't have that the formula is intended for infants. That's what they give in hospitals.
Avatar n tn He is also on erythromycin 3x daily for the delay emptying of the stomach. I have to hold him to go to sleep for naps and at night. I've tried elevating the head of his crib but he moves so much that he ends up sliding down the mattress. I have to have him sleep with me sometimes at night just to get sleep (the both of us).
1330108 tn?1333677304 Therefore, when considering the recommendations in this report, it is fundamentally misguided to focus on a single risk factor or to attempt to quantify risk for an individual infant. Individual medical conditions may warrant a physician to recommend otherwise after weighing the relative risks and benefits. 1. Back to sleep: Infants should be placed for sleep in a supine position (wholly on the back) for every sleep. Side sleeping is not as safe as supine sleeping and is not advised.
Avatar f tn Can we just discuss the pros and cons for daycare for infants as early as 6 weeks? Im still uncertain of daycare for my newborn.
Avatar n tn im worried about the cough while eating. is it allergy or gastric acid reflux? how to diagnose gastrid acid reflux disease?thanks.
168348 tn?1379357075 ll instictually know what to do to take measures to help calm things down ..... and know what and how to talk/deal with your Dr. from the beginning w/o being "brushed off" as over-reacting, etc. It affects the entire family unit .. the constant crying, not sleeping, I know ..I've BTDT and I vividly recall my son sleeping in a semi-reclined position next to my bed and waking ev. 1/2 hr and screaming out in pain .. Mylanta did nothing. Prevacid did nothing. It was so hard ..
Avatar m tn I have been on Prevacid, 30 mg, twice daily, for about a month. It finally seemed to kick in after 4 weeks and I had 5 glorious days of no acid, or very little. I then reduced my dosage to one 30mg capsule daily. Within two days the GERD came back full force! Is it better to go back to two pills? Is it common that it would come back so strong? I'd rather take the two capsules again than have this! Ugh!
1448936 tn?1363206346 m still very nauseated and feel like I have something warm and a slight burn in my throat. I got prevacid to start trying to see if that will give me more relief. I also feel as though sometimes I have too much saliva in my mouth. I'm assuming this can all probably be chalked up to acid reflux? Hopefully the prevacid helps.
Avatar f tn How much time we need to continue this medication? Any known side effects of Levipil for infants?
Avatar f tn t switched, try switching and see if that in itself provides any relief as Nexium seemed to work much better for us than the Prevacid. My little guy can't talk so I don't know what he was feeling in terms of pain but he would cough and cry all night long. He's 3 now and this was from about 12 months to 2.5 years that he did this. Keep us posted!
Avatar m tn There were no congenital abnormalities related to TDF nor HBV infection among their infants for up to 7 months of follow up.
1330108 tn?1333677304 t go near that area. For naps started to put her in her crib to get used to it awhile. We also try to do a lot of tummy time during the day but who knows how much my husband and mother in law will do it when I go back to work. Thanks for the info though I did find it interesting as well!!!!
296025 tn?1233256719 s indicated for GERD (chronic acid reflux) and as far as I know has nothing to do with treating Hep C, other than if you happen to have GERD. I believe Prilosec is a generic sold OTC but not 100% sure so speak to your doctor and pharmacist regarding switching off.
Avatar n tn Hi Lucy, I am so sorry to hear about your child. I am currently going through what seems to be the beginning of what you went through. I mostly wanted to comment on the posts about going back to breastfeeding and the la leche league. I am 100% an advocate for bf and understand how important it is, however people do not realize how insulting it is when you have a child that is going through such medical difficulties. There seems to be a lack of sensitivity there.
