I agree with Cindy that it is very unlikely to be Ovarian Cancer. However, young girls do get cysts. Actually cysts are very very common in young premenopausal women and 95 % benign. You may want to check the top right of this page; "Health Pages" . It has a lot of information about cysts . Of course we don't know if she even has cysts. And.. we're not Drs. here.. She really needs to be seen my by a Gyn. It could be one of many things.

I'm not confident on the last untrasound so i think i'll request another one to confirm. But the birth control method sounds like a good and easy method so i do hope that its ovarian since i really dont know how they'd get rid of it if its on my liver. I've read that cyst on the liver is sometimes normal, but not sure on what size it normal..mine is 4.5 cm.
There are many ways to get rid of cysts and most of the time it will not pose a problem in having children. Make sure you get them checked often because if a large enough one bursts it could cause you to have to have an ovary removed. I had them starting when I was 15. I was put on birth control pills to keep them away. When I went off the pills to try and get pregnant they did not/have not come back.
I have a history of ovarian cysts and recently had a laproscopy done to remove minor endo and a couple of ovarian cysts. WHen I had my first Day 3 FSH test done in Oct it was 10- not an issue according to my RE. I had the test re-done in Feb when I was also having issues with some small cysts on my ovaries, and it came back 1.6!! Very low, but both gyn and RE said that was "very good".
If your not having pain and symptoms from the endo that lessen your quality of life I would just focus on getting rid of the cyst. Trying Bcp to get rid of the cyst is what I've done. I also have had two ovarian cysts removed surgically. Acupuncture is sometimes helpful with the Bcp (birth control pills) along with supplements/herbs they sometimes give.
Get a second opinion if your dr is pushing a surgery you know you are not ready to have.
I am sorry you are impatient, but it will help to get rid of the cysts if you are trying to conceive, even if it means you have to wait a month or two. I don't know if you cannot ovulate when you have a cyst, but it sure would be a painful thing and probably it does prevent ovulation when a cyst is present. The bcps cut the hormones that prolong the cyst, and it shrinks.
you need to RUN from that doctor NOW!!!! OMG !! if you are having those symptoms and she is blowing you off she is out of her mind! and YES they can GROW fast! You HAVE to make sure you call another doc first thing monday! also..those CA125 tests are not reliable. PLEASE RUN from her!!!!!!! I wouldnt trust anything she said now if i were you!! just so you know and NOT to make you more scared because cysts are almost alway benign..its the "almost" that we all have to watch out for.
