heat

Avatar n tn Recently I got into an accident while cycling and was hurt in the crotch. Despite the injury and the pain, I still continued cycling. However when I got home I realized that the left side of the labia minora was swollen, deep purplish and felt very sore. For the few days I had some difficulties sitting down. I've applied heat pad briefly and tried to massage away the bruise and the swelling.
Avatar m tn i went to my doctor and he took a look, and didnt feel there was epididymitis or testicular torsion or anything, and said it would go away. it still hurt the following week, and one night i went to the local clinic and saw a doctor there. she took a look and notices the glans (or whatever connects the testicles) were slightly inflamed. she gave me a weeks dose of anti inflammatories (naproxen) and ordered an ultra sound for the next day.
408901 tn?1274687198 I would try some Hydrocortisone cream. It works on exema (which is very common in infants) very well. But if your infant has exema, it may be around for a while. Many children have it and for most it goes away by the age of 2. But for some, they will just have to apply creams on and off for life. But try the Hydrocortisone cream. Mary gets this too and it helps her.
Avatar f tn Silly me attempted to use the Freeze Away/Liquid Nitrogen approach to clearing skin bumps that appear as warts on my inner thighs. Well, I had the treatment applied before in my dermotologist's office so I attempted to do so myself to try to avoid making a doctor's appointment because I thought I was applying the same treatement. Well...come to find out, it turned red, just as the liquid nitrogen did the first time I had it done but THIS time, dark marks remain 1 month later.
2206935 tn?1373638605 I made this tea. Go to the health food store and get Chamomile, slippery elm, and marshmallow root. Boil 4 cups water. Take big pinch of Chamomile, smaller pinch of marshmallow and smaller slippery elm. Boil water, take off heat and steep. Cool this down. This will help eat bananas, apples, oatmeal, broccoli, potatoes boiled, carrots. This all will help. make sure they are steamed. Eat fish later only.
Avatar f tn Got 10 weeks till I get to hold my baby :) for some reason I'm always tired and feel so lazy lol... Is that normal????
Avatar n tn It seems like I probably have scabies. I was feeling itchy all over (although the itching wasn't as intense as it's described when you read about scabies), and finally I noticed that I have a small number (< 5) of bumps that look like the classic description of scabies. They are tiny--2mm at most--but you can see a white squiggly line and a dark point at the end of it. They are on the inside of my wrist and at the bottom of my thumb.
Avatar f tn 176 days to go - oh my, October 24th can't get here fast enough.. lol 14w6d.. enjoying it day by day though! here I come 15 weeks!!
1025521 tn?1252507728 Oh my goodness! Everyyear, I go through the same thing!!! I am an RN as well, and I usually get the welts and bumps on my belly and back. Places the sun doesn't normally get to, but slightly of areas. But to be honest, it itches, and looks gross. Cutting to the chase, it'll go away in acouple of weeks. It is the heat from the tanning bed mixed with amount of "sun" you skin has to adjust to!
Avatar f tn DO NOT pick the bumps. You may be spreading the rash. Go to a doctor and have one of the bumps scraped and tested. It could be herpes that has shown up in that area. It could also be chiggers which is a bug that gets under your skin and produces bumps in that area. But whatever you do don't pop them.
Avatar m tn Go to a doctor and get confirmed they are warts and not just natural part of your skin.
Avatar m tn I do used heat, but told never to use ice or cold by my doctors. Heat really helps but when you're out to dinner or at a park its hard to run around with a heating pad. I don't want my little girl to be punish for this diseases that I have. I go through so much pain and the doctors see this, I have prescription strength trioicpals creams as well as use bio freeze. I have my primary doctor in control of this but at Mayo they don't believe in pain medications.
Avatar f tn - One day I noticed red rashes on my arms and legs after doing yard work (June 2010) - I saw a general doctor and took antihistamine. No progress. I took antibiotics (bactrim) for one week but I got a terrible drug rash from it. - The hospital finally let me see a dermatologist. They did the biopsy on me but only found the drug rash, not the original rash. The dermatologist thinks the original rash is follicular eczema (although she didn't get to actually see my original rash).
Avatar f tn I first noticed it in late April on my wrists. The tiny white bumps would get irritated and red only upon scratching. I would scratch and it wouldn't help, so I tried some over-the-counter cream that didn't really help. Then I noticed that it had spread to my thighs, legs and even on my feet. It's really bad at night and I have to resist the urge to scratch constantly. It's been over a month now and it's only gotten worse.
2026433 tn?1337650833 Ok, been with my boyfriend 9 years on and off, 3 years steady now and expecting, I'm 28+2 and he thinks he has an std, says for the past year he has seen bumps on his penis and he strongly believes he may have something ” from me”. So when we found out I was pregnant they took blood to check for std's and I even had a papsmear done, both came out normal, now it is mandatory for these tests right?
Avatar m tn The first week in May, I had sex with my boyfriend for the first time (it was protected). At the beginning of June I had a very abnormal period, and then I got a really big bump on the outside of my vagina. The bump didn't itch, but it was extremely painful because it was close to the inside of my thigh. I assumed it was a boil from shaving because I've gotten them years before.
Avatar m tn Sounds like I have a lot to look into. So would a general care doctor be the best place to start or should I try to go directly to a GI doctor?
Avatar f tn I went on vacation in Feb and after a week on the beach I ended up getting a nasty heat rash on my stomach, chest and arms. It eventually went away, but it was strange for me to get it. Then just this past week, I was out in the sun for the day and got another bad heat rash on my arms? What's going on? The only thing that is different is that I've been on birth control pills for the past 3 years.
