1565702 tn?1295292830 Truth is, and I will be the first to admit it, I love smoking and dont really want to quit my three to four pack a day habit. I should have been born in a time when smoking was allowed almost everywhere in America, and I could have smoked all I wanted to whether at my desk at work, or in any restaruant or bar, or at almost any other social occasion.
Avatar f tn Self induced bed rest will not prevent a miscarriage in very early pregnancy. Pregnancy is not supposed to be so fragile that a newly pregnant woman has to disregard regular activity. so, you are not doing anything or doing something that will cause miscarriage. Most likely it is more to do with a hormonal issue. Talk to your OB for guidance. And let us know how it goes and what they say.
Avatar m tn The loss of a pack member will certainly affect them, but they are more likely to react adversely to the pack leader's (that means you) change in behaviour. As far as possible, try to keep things as normal as possible for your lab, although you might want to give him extra walks and a little more attention over the next week or two, just to reassure him that things are okay. Being alone in the house may be an issue, but it is probably better to wait and see if that happens.
Avatar f tn Also, check with your hospital, because mine had recommendations on how to pack and when to bring that bag in with you. For instance, when I first get there, I'll take in my Labor Bag. A small bag with shoes to wear at the hospital, a birthing ball to blow up and an extra pillow (things to help you through labor). Once they move me to my recovery room, my hubs will bring in BOTH of our overnight bag (with pj's, toiletries, breast feeding stuff and clothes for him) and the diaper bag.
Avatar n tn Hi Everyone, I have been trying these for months and months but it doesn’t help me anymore. I am talking about six pack abs that I am trying to get. I joined a gym for this and the trainer told me that I would get them…but NOOOO!! That did not help me and later on I have tried a few tips that I have been suggested by my friends but that also was of no use (the whole thing helped the abs a little…but not as I wanted).
7540649 tn?1395719596 My pack n play came with a bassinet part that raises it up. They sell some with newborn nappers but I wasn't fond of those. I've got that pack n play set up by our bed in the bedroom & the regular bassinet set up by a full sized bed in the nursery.
178590 tn?1294176767 I'm looking for a pack and play with and adjustable bottom to bring it up higher....Is there such a thing? And if so where can I find one? I'm wanting to keep my twins close and the pack and plays I can find for twins have the 2 bassinetts but I don't want that division between them.....I'm wanting something for my bedroom...I have 2 cribs but want something smaller for my bedroom.
654038 tn?1326302599 We kept DD in our room for the first six weeks and plan on having the next one in our room for the first six weeks also. But she was in her own bed, we had a pack n' play that had a bassient attachment. I would pull her in bed to breastfeed and would fall asleep sometimes but when I woke back up she went back in her bed.
Avatar m tn I have not had RAI. I have Hashimoto hypothyroid amd can tell you that when thyroid hormone levels are increased or decreased, poor sleep will follow for awhile. The more dramatic the adjustment of levels, the longer it takes to get back to sleeping well. So with you RAI, there is a huge change in thyroid levels that is confusing your body and you wont 'level' till your on the right level of thyroid med for a while. Did they tell you when you will start any thyroid med?
Avatar f tn ) also if your planning on staying for longer then a day maybe bring a little jumper for the baby to wear in the hospital you dont have to but if youd like:)
Avatar n tn So we put him in the pack n play. He seemed OK at first, but quickly refused again to sleep. He figured out how to climb out of the pack n play, he won't stay asleep, hates every noise, wants to sleep with us in his room or in our bed, and we're all strung out and tired. My impulse is to get rid of the crib, put the mattress on the ground, and a gate on the door. Our daycare provider thinks that it is just a phase, he'll be back in the crib.
Avatar f tn I need to pack my daily lunch healthier than I have been any suggestions
Avatar f tn I just set up my baby's pack n play yesterday that we finally got in. It's actually a lot smaller than a normal sized pack n play. It has the bassinet on top. When they are too big for that, you can take it off and let them use the bottom half. It's light weight. Less than 20lbs.. I love it. I have two other pack n plays my other two children used, but they are so big... The one we got came from Walmart. (Online). It's the graco portable lite weight travel crib.
432737 tn?1358549432 In no way are you a bad mother for wanting to be close to your sick baby. I too had Jeremy sleeping in a bassinet in my room for about 3mos maybe less. I'm sure if his illness didnt' subside I would have done exactly what you did. I'm also a person who had terrible ears all through my childhood and into my teens I had 4 surgeries to have tubes put in it was awful and painful! I do the rain dance everyday that none of my kids got my bad ears.
Avatar f tn If you have a seperate room from baby then a bassinet to go next to your bed for when baby is new is really nice to have as well. This time around I got the fisher price rock n play bassinet, it's nice cus it folds up so you can store it out of the way if you need to.
Avatar f tn re looking for a one bedroom house, and so on. Anyways my whole point in this, is we both really want a baby, my mom says it'll happen when were not expecting it, we've tried everything and nothing is working, can I get some ideas? Btw, I'll be 19 next month and I weigh 99.7lbs, ddon't worry its nothing bad, ive always been under weight, and I'm 5'3. If that has anything to do with it.
11833551 tn?1421679623 If you can't get her to turn on your own I would do your research before letting your doctor turn her. It is very stressful on the baby, and it will be very painful for you. Some doctors won't even try to turn the baby because of all the risks involved. My sister had her first baby turned and it was so painful and scary since the babies heart rate dropped so much, that with her second baby she just opted for a c section.
Avatar n tn When did you pack your hospital bag? What are some things you put in your bag?
Avatar f tn ( sadden by this we went to babies r us this morning and my husband picked put the cuties pack and play. We were going to get a bassinet but liked the pack and play better. It has everything we have with our crib set just in one. A changing table bassinet music everything. I am super excited and can't wait to finally place my daughter in it. It won't be long.
Avatar m tn Recently, she figured out how to move the gate and now escapes every night and whines outside our bedroom door until we let her in. After 11 years, should we get a locking gate to keep her in her own 'bedroom' or just realize she's older now and is happier in our bedroom at night? My wife does not like the idea of now letting her sleep in our room. Also, would you consider htis a sleep problem or something else? Please share your thoughts on this. Thank you.
Avatar f tn You probably should talk to a doctor to find out why your periods are irregular, that can play a lot into what you need to do to conceive. I am 22 so not much older than you, and have been diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) for at leat 2 years. My hubbie and I tried for 7 months before we conceived, 5 before we started talking to the nurse with my OBGYN.
566175 tn?1278430472 Thanks for the info. IMO the babies need to be apart for sleeping,,, they need some time apart to establish their own identities anyways and need to learn ways of soothing themselves on their own anyway. I don't want them to get accustomed to sleeping together in a playpen/bassinet then try to separate them after a few months. That might mix them up and be a difficult transition.
Avatar f tn My baby is breeched so I go in on Tuesday for a c section and need to pack my hospital bag but have no idea what to take. What do you pack???
Avatar f tn a gown or robe to help you celebrate the day after delivery, non-slip bedroom slippers to wear in your room, a good fitting and supportive bra (if you're breastfeeding, a nursing bra is ideal), underwear (preferably cottons easily washed) that will help hold a sanitary pad in place after delivery, toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrush, hair brush, deodorant, soap, shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer if needed, if you will have someone stay with you (husband, sibling, etc.
