Plus most insurance will cover it. But if you lack insurance it can cost up to $150 a month on the name brands. Luckily there is also a lower cost generic version of Cytomel. Erfa is a Canadian product that is not imported for sale here by continental retail US pharmacys. The Rx is faxed to a Canadian pharmacy, you pay all out of pocket from a credit card, and its shipped here.
How much does Copaxone® cost? If you are eligible for medications through the PBS, you will need to pay a contribution fee for each month’s supply. The Federal Government pays for the remaining cost. The amount of the contribution fee depends upon whether or not you have a pension or concession card and the number of prescriptions you have had dispensed in a year. The amount of this fee is set each year by the government . In 2009 the fee for people with a Medicare card is $32.90.
Im going to give her another chance tomorrow and hopefully she wont seem so confused. Even if she does do some testing I wont care because I got insurance and I just want them to make sure as sick as I have been lately. Anymore it seems like the days are longer, boring and about the same Iguess because Im a stressed about my health and sometimes depressed. I will keep you updated on what the doctor says tomorrow. I want to wish you the best of luck with dealing with your anxiety.
Sometimes it is a gradule thing and when you stop taking it is when you relize how much it was helping. We seem to forget about the pain when it lessens.!!! I know how it is to not be able to afford taking this stuff, but drugs from doctors will only make you more unhealthy in the long run because almost any drug taken has side affects. The worst that can happen with a natural remedy is that it does not work. It isn't going to cause other herific problems.
Like many (most) drug plans I have to pay something even with insurance. The Tartrate I pay the whole cost, still much lower than Suc for me. Tartrate is generally available from the pharmacies offering a $10, 90 supply, that's 180 tablets. I devote some time today/night to searching the web for research on how BB concentration levels look with 1 24 hr pill verses 2 12 hr pills.
) And I get tired of typing so much! Here it goes.... Gastroparesis basically means that my stomach is paralyzed. Its classified as "sever delayed gastric emptying". I basically live my life nauseated, vomitting, and in pain. Gastroparesis is usually associated with people who have diabeties, but mine is idiopathic (the theory is it MAY have been caused by my first pregnancy with my son).
Thank you so much for ur input but is there any way I can find out what exactly it is that I have without going to the doctors?
My twins are now 10 months and I can say that it is MUCH better now. Like you are experiencing, for my little ones, it got worse before it got better and was the hardest between 4-5 months. They took zantac, which helped a little (3x/day), and I found that the best feedings were the ones I could space at about 30 min after they took the meds. I'm sure you are doing everything you can, and I know it's so tough with two!! Do you have decent insurance?
Well long story short when he found out how much how fast and how BAD I was he immediately put me on Epogen. It kept me from dropping more but didn't raise me up. Then he changed it to two times a week at 40,000 and finally I felt humanand went up to 15 and went back to once a week at 40. Now...I am at about a 10.5 and it doesn't bother me hardly at ALL because my body had a slow drop this time - over MONTHS But the Procrit/Epogen WILL take somewhere around 2 - 4 weeks to work!
All I said in my comment was how to get the insurance company to wave the six month waiting period if it was necessary. Obviously no surgeon is going to operate on this woman immediately without exhausting other means and following protocol. The wait list for this procedure alone can be anywhere from six months to two years. Let's grow up now.
I have reservations about the cost to my insurance/society (as I don't have heart disease, as far as I know) and the need for it, but I will probably just go with the flow. Glad you've had such good results in getting your cholesterol down--hope it helps prevent any more problems for you. You are right that it's important to consider the source of information! Statistically, more people don't have the side effects... I just don't want any more ACHING, I have too much already.
One mentioned that he had relief by taking pepcid which I think may go along with what I experience, but the persitant pain makes me feel like my liver is sick. Does anyone have any of these symptoms, and if so how do you releive the pain. Should I ask for a liver screening? I have thought that it could be a bile duct stone, but how do you get your doctor to test for one without taking him court? I'm just sick of the pain. If it is my intestine trapping gas what could be done about it?
Losec has it's side effects too but not quite as bad. It doesn't work as well as Nexium though. Melissa, does your gastritis & esophagitis cause you nausea and burning in your stomach and burning in your esophagus? Do you ever have a nawing, burning pain when you don't eat? I do and it feels terrible. Has your doctor told you how long it will take for the gastritis & esophagitis to clear up? The makers of Nexium say that it should clear in 4 - 8 weeks but not mine.
Glad I nixed that room! Never did I realize how much we depend on ins. co's for so much! Thanks goodness I have great house ins, but unfortunately awful health ins. I alway thought I had good coverage....NOT. Yep, OH, I think I will have to pay for our Dr. F. myself, but since I pay a small fortune for coverage, I didn't think I should have to pay out of pocket. Also I am grateful for all the info I have gleaned here, otherwise I would have gone along with Dr. # 1 and 3 and had outdated tx!
The endocrinologist has been a nightmare! The doc my PCP wanted to send me to does not, apparently, take my insurance any longer, so he opted for a second choice that he was not that thrilled with. I now see why he wasn't thrilled with her. On my first visit, she totally disregarded all concerns and possible diagnoses I asked about.
It is certainly my understanding that if you have an opiate dependence then you really NEED to be in early withdrawal to transfer to BUP - otherwise there is a very real risk of what is called "Precipitated Withdrawal"; which as discussed above is to do with the opiate antagonist properties of BUP. Basically precipitated w/d is what happens when you put BUP into a body that is still "full" of opiates.
I get a sore throat (not tonsils but when you swallow) I now go straight on antibiotics and use Bricanyl inhaler although it doesnt seem to have much effect except to cause alot of mucus coughed up from the lungs. It causes me to have spasm coughing and if I cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out. The last one about 2 years ago stopped me breathing in and out completely for 10 to 15 seconds and I thought I had bought it.
When we first moved here our insurance wouldn't work anywhere. We had to get one that costs about 4X as much and covers less. It was maddening. I really wish everyone just got a magic ticket for health costs like in some other countries (France, Japan) and we could go to anyone. Boy wouldn't that be simpler! I do hope you can figure out something for the jumps in BP. It is so startling to have it happen suddenly.
Have you heard of anything like this? I do have many relatives with Chron's and I am Jewish--is it possible for it to NOT show up on a barium enema (with visualization of the illeum along with an upper GI and a small bowel follow through?) Is there any point in repeating these tests--I found them exceedingly painful. My current GI says since my WBC and sed rate, and albumin are normal that active Chron's is unlikely. Meanwhile, nobody will treat me because they can't find objective proof.
Synthroid is more stable than natural which comes from a pig and has way too much T-3 and too much for us humans, although some do well on it, if there is no heart issue(s) and you see doctor regularly to be monitored. Here is the link to the 'Thyroid Disorder Forum' and Dr. Mark Lupo. Give it a try. http://www.medhelp.org/forums/thyroid/wwwboard.html Good Luck!
36 years old/Male I have been taking some meds for what I call situational depression---bankrupted business, new baby & no insurance, no job, marital problems...and to top it off my only brother was hit by a car and killed. I had to ID the body as my sis could not go in and my dad was killed in a plane crash while I was still young (so I guess I was the man). Most of these things happened one after the other over a period of one year. Sorry to rant.
Last year, I went to an ENT and without testing me he said I had acid reflux. The Prevacid does help me with regular bowel movements and less stomach aches, however I've never had problems with heartburn or typical acid reflux symptoms. I mostly have stomach aches in the lower part of my stomach, gas and bloating, as well as sinus problems and phlegm in my throat (which irritates my vocal chords). I don't ever taste acid or feel pain in my upper stomach or throat.
I can easily do the gluten free but when I add in the no rice, and all the other things it doesn't leave me much to cook or much desire to cook. Thank you for answering.
I haven't had my eye appointment yet but have felt my eyes changing - weird that it is harder to see without the glasses but same prescription does the job when I actually put the darned things on! Could just be age...sigh.... With the plaquenil I saw a big reduction in brain fog, tiredness and flu like feeling and big increase in ability to concentrate. Hope to hear good news from you in another month or so.
I've controlled my hives, unless I'm around fragrance. I also feel I breath much better.
But the doctor said I have to have this test so the insurance will pay for the surgery. What more does the insurance want my first born...LOL but although I have enought acid that I have Barretts stage 3, I am worried im going to fail this test. They took me off my PPI's last wed. and since then I too have gotten a bad cold/flu. I hope you find answers soon, I feel like we are all walking in the dark with this monitor that is deciding our future health...
Those of you who have similar condition only will understand how annoying and exhausting this can be and how much it impairs one's life. I'm really desperate and I would give anything to have it back to normal. I have done a little internet research and am going to try this Sinus irrigation device called Hydropulse. If that doesn't work, there is little hope anything else will. But hey if it works for me I will let you know.
So, when you do get lasix, TAKE IT without fail. Also, since I waited for 7 months to see a doctor(no health insurance), I now will live the rest of my life with a weaken, enlarged heart, and probably won't have near the lifespan I should have had. Besides the lasix, you will need to cut salt out of your diet, and work on trying bring your weight down. The good news is...if you get to the doctor and get some lasix, you will lose several pounds in the first week of using it.
I couldn't live without Nexium. It is amazing how many people I have come across of all ages that HAVE to take Nexium. That company must be swiming in cash flow!) The crestor I can maybe come off of if I lose weight (maybe 20 or 30 pounds) and eat healthier. (Too bad I LOVE breads and Pizza!!!
After the benadril my throat opened up and ate a sandwich without incident. All this was just too much for me. I jumped in my car and drove straight to my parent's house from the Emergency room without stopping at my apt. I took a nap at a rest stop for 4 hours, then woke up, rinsed my mouth, bought a big red apple and kept on going. I ate the apple as I drove, without incident, and pulled into my parent's driveway around 10pm. They were happy to see me.
