My insurance probably won't cover thyrogen shots for my year scan and thyroglobulin test. Does anyone know how much 3 shots would cost me??? I don't look forward to going off my meds for several weeks since it took me 7-8 months to finally feel good after my tt. I was on 8 different synthroid doses until we got it right. I'm on 250mcg. I would rather pay for them then be miserable.

All I have ever heard about DT with methadone is that it is a much harder, longer WD than the norco/percs which are, correct me someone if I'm wrong, full agonist if I remember correctly. While the methadone was half agonist. I hope I got that straight.

government will not let meds be bought cheaper. The pharmaceutical industry has us by the B____s. The reasoning they give is the cost of research. Not really because the other countries have put in all the information on so many of these drugs. We could have the cheaper meds too if we would combine with these other countries, probably bringing down their cost too.

From my methadone experience I think your friend is better off with the combination rather than raising the methadone dose....

20mg is not a low dose of methadone.......many researchers indicate that they cannot differentiate the wd's between 30mg of methadone and 3mg of methadone - - its all bad and can last for weeks.......you better learn a lot more before you play doctor - - Methadone is not like other narcotics pills - totally different animal and totally different pharmacology - - better get your advice from someone with experience.........or a Doc....

For those who haven't read my posts, I've been taking Methadone since last August. Good news is that it's kept me completely clean from other opiates... Bad news is that it has now gotten it's "hook" in me, as I was warned. For months I was taking 10-20mg, but after some typical life problems it's crept up to 50mg-70mg for the last 4 weeks. first off dont go to methadone it is pure hell to come off of it cost between 10 and 15 bucks a day depending where you live it is 6mo of going Evey day and no dirty urine test will get you 2 days of take homes as you progress so do the take homes I would have them tweek your sub around b/4 going to methadone and as for the cravings you need to be involved with some form of aftercare will you on sub or methadone to help with that just switching addictions is not a cure for addiction it takes wor
