Common Questions and Answers about How much does concerta cost on the street

concerta

Avatar m tn if your child was already on a stimulant drug, then the dosage does change based on that experience. If the doctor started him out on the low dose and slowly moved him up, then this may be ok. If your child was not on a prior stimulant med, and the doctor started him out at 54mgs, I would ditch him as fast as possible (and consider a law suit)! Also, unless your child was on a prior stimulant med, the additional doses during the day are uncalled for.
Avatar f tn The doctors and schools these days push these drugs on children as if they where candy. They are like speed ,people on the street like these drugs because they give them a rush and they have a hard time getting off of them.
9003081 tn?1401126498 (which is cheaper than getting insurance and probably also cheaper than Concerta). But the cost probably depends on the brand, some brands probably cost less or more.
Avatar m tn If your living in Cebu , the cost will probably be much less than the states ... probably half or less than the cost of the "average" US cost ..... the $200,000 quoted by nygirl is not even close to the average cost .... It will be much less then the U.S. like all medical treatments in the Philippines.... I think the "help" of the "patient assistance programs" by Roche ... is not likely to happen in a developing nation ...
Avatar n tn Depending on income there are free spay/neuter programs. I'd call your local shelter for information. Otherwise it costs between $50 to $200. Just keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Be sure a cheaper vet is reliable and competent.
200957 tn?1236136923 With IVF they have you produce the eggs. They retrieve the eggs. Then they put the eggs together with the eggs and then depending on your eggs they will transfer the embryos between 3-5 days. So IVF is more invasive than an IUI. My husband and I can't do IUI because he has the male factor and I have PCOS where I don't ovulate at all so we had pretty much zero chance of getting pregnant on our own.
197575 tn?1215532624 My insurance probably won't cover thyrogen shots for my year scan and thyroglobulin test. Does anyone know how much 3 shots would cost me??? I don't look forward to going off my meds for several weeks since it took me 7-8 months to finally feel good after my tt. I was on 8 different synthroid doses until we got it right. I'm on 250mcg. I would rather pay for them then be miserable.
Avatar f tn The ones covered by insurance we don't see the price they send it straight to the ins. company.
216239 tn?1233257361 I also live in Toronto Canada and I have paid $6,000 at one clinic and at my new clinic TCART on Bloor street the fee is $5,600 this is without meds just the IVF procedure. Meds can run anywhere from $5,500 and on depending on how much you need. My insurance covered my meds for IVF number 1 and I only have enough money left for 1 more IVF then I'm on my own.
5757880 tn?1395578022 After spending $186.00 for the generic form of concerta I'm about ready to cry... no, I have already cried. My insurance changed plans to a high deductible and now I must meet a $2500.00 in regards to my son's medication. I have already checked with medicad/medicare, the martketplace and there is nothing my insurance company nor employeer can do. Can anyone give me any information in how I can lower my cost or perhaps is there a cheaper alternative? Thank You!
Avatar f tn On the other hand you would need to keep an eye out to be sure he is not supplimenting what you give him with either ritalin etc bought on the street (common on larger college campuses I hear) or worse yet supplimenting with meth. Talk to him if you can to see why he takes them in excess. It may be a problem that can be simply solved with a bit of guidance and control from you.
Avatar n tn it depends, what are they taking them for and how long? The concerta is for ADD my daughter takes it and it's not good to mix it with anything. IIt' s like a speed.
Avatar f tn was diagnosed with adhd about 2 mos ago and my doctor put me on 36mgs of concerta it seems to help with the impulse control, but I am still having an issue with my mind being in a thousand different places. I also have a seven year old son who was also diagnosed with adhd about a week ago and because of his size he is also on 36mg of concerta and it is making him calmer at home, but when I talked to his teacher today she said that she is not seeing any improvement at all.
Avatar f tn Well, see when I switched from Concerta to Adderall, I just stopped the Concerta and went to taking the Adderall XR. After a few months the XR did not seem to work very long or throughout the day. So, in 2007, I went on Adderall short acting pill form which generic form is amphetamine salts or amphetamine mix tabs. With this pill, first of all, it is extremely inexpensive. I pay $30 for 180 tabs 20 mg each. I cut each in half and take each half 4 times a day a total of 40mg.
Avatar f tn I just started taking Concerta (36 mg) and I immediately developed shingles. My doctor swears it's a coincidence, but I can't help but wonder. I had chicken pox as a child, but I've never had shingles before now. I went to the doctor today and got neurontin and valtrex, but the doctor told me to keep taking the Concerta. I don't know what to do because the Concerta is helping my ADD, but I also believe it at least played a part in my shingles outbreak.
1831849 tn?1383228392 They are billing my insurance company over $3K monthly, which is much higher than the monthly cost I had heard others discuss on the forum. My copay would normally be $250, but I somehow qualified for a financial assistance program in which Shared Solutions will cover all of my copay except for $35/month. I have no idea what I did to qualify, since there was no application. It's all quite strange.
Avatar m tn No, it's mine i just didn't feel like it was working, so i took 2 pills. BIG mistake. My heart is still acting up. It's been about 22 hours...what should i do to make it stop?
Avatar f tn Hey Yall, As most of you know I just started Subutex, I have been doing a lot of thinking about how expensive the doctor visit and the meds are and I'm not sure that I can afford it. The doc visit is $ 150.00 and I pay $ 540.00 for 60 8mg pills . That's what I will have to pay every month. I was just wondering if there was anyway I could go about trying to find a doctor that is not sooo expensive and is it possible for me to switch from one sub doctor to a cheaper one ?
Avatar m tn Ritalin helps me think, read, write and get control of the thoughts racing in my head. For me it does more than help me remember where my keys wallets and other things are. I'm on as high of a dose as I can do without my heart blowing out a valve. I take high blood pressure medication to counteract the dose I'm on now (60mg sa tabs generic). I'm still not able to hold a job because of my symptoms but I'm very thankful for the help my medication does give me.
681206 tn?1226556625 For someone with Hepatitis C that has the money for the treatment how much would it cost in a round about way?
Avatar f tn I spend every Thursday at the Cancer Hospital having medicine pumped into a port in my chest. But if you saw me on the street you would have no idea. We pass by people everyday living their own medical stories. No there are no generic drugs for MS. I used to worry about medical cost until I got cancer. My treatments are so expensive they make MS seem reasonable. I stopped worrying about it its my life I am paying for. When you get a diagnoses it will be alot better. Not knowing is hard.
