I had an angioma (red spot) removed from above my upper lip. They used a needle to cauterize the spot which was supposed to make it go away. It took a number of injections over several visits before the redness seemed to respond and fade a bit. But in it's place, I now have a triangular shaped divet about the size of the head of a pin where the skin is missing and no longer flush with the rest of my skin above my top lip.

I've been using Burt's Bees lip balm with pomegranate oil for a week and it seems to be working. They feel and look a lot better especially the bottom lip looks more plumped up. Three days ago I discovered dents right where he administered the injections. They are very noticeable as they lie right on the scapula bone. He never mentioned fat atrophy as a possible side effect. I was put to sleep, and the dr injected a collagen like material into the paralyzed cord to try to get them to meet. Well, it helped my swallowing but did not help my speech at all. I had metacril injections two weeks ago in Costa Rica to my lips and nasalabial folds. The metacril in the bottom lip has now turned into hard bumps, which I think was the result of going and having my teeth whitened afterwards and the Zoom laser hitting that area so long.
