Common Questions and Answers about How long will concussion symptoms last

concussion

Avatar f tn With tapering, you will have withdrawals, but they will be less intense. If you quit cold turkey, you will have stronger symptoms, and they will last for about a week and then start to ease up! As I replied in your earlier post there are things you can do to help ease these symptoms! Try not to stress too much! You will have tons of support here! We will help you get through this!
Avatar f tn I suffered a concussion 4 months ago when I fell during a parade with my high school band. My mom took me to the ER and I was diagnosed with a concussion. I had a CT scan and nothing was out of the ordinary, and it seemed to just be a mild concussion. 4 months later, I'm still having issues. I'm a junior in high school and concentration and memory issues made me switch out of all of my honors classes into regular ones and drop both math and science completely.
Avatar f tn How long will this last do you think? I am hoping the anxiety/restlessness won't go past a week. I haven't been taking them for very long at such a high dose so I am hoping for the best.
Avatar f tn I have 2 herniated discs in my lower lumbar spine. I was perscribed 7.5mgs of percocet, then upped to 10mgs, referred to Pain Management and ultimately upped to 15mg Roxi's. I can get by with taking 3-4 percs on a GOOD day (manageable pain) to 6-10 percs on a BAD day (usually when the weathers bad or working really hard that day - I clean houses). I never used to have a problem going without them for YEARS it didn't effect me, I thought I was unbeatable, untouchable. Until now.
Avatar f tn my body hurts so bad and i feel like im losing my mind how long does the withdrawl symptoms last?
Avatar f tn s will last 4-6 days, but not everyone is the same depending on how much, how long and how many we were using. The good news is you have only been taking them for 3 months and can put an end to this for good. Addiction is progressive, so stopping now is saving you a lot of grief down the road. If you look in the top right of this page, you will see health pages. In there is the thomas recipe and that can help ease w/d's a lil. Best of luck and keep posting, you can do this man.
Avatar f tn I would rather have my MRI read in Cleveland. I wonder how long a person can have concussion symptoms. If the symptoms should have disappeared by now, I have to wonder if it is the Chiari that is worse bc of the hard hit on the head.
Avatar f tn Also I am incredibly unbalanced and all of these symptoms worsened after my last concussion which happened to be my fifth. From this one I had a report of severe concussion with mild amnesia, which four months later has not gone away. I also exhibit no abnormalities in my eyes. Sorry I forgot to include this before.
Avatar n tn Hi...sorry to hear about the remaining issues.....what was he doing that he was injured?...sports...?I know u said he had CT scans...may I ask y not an MRI?.....and do u have a copy of the report? Since it was 2 wks ago the last time...it is possible that he has swelling and it is not completely healed? Hopefully he did not suffer a condition from the repeat injuries.Head injuries r nothing to let slide...please call his dr and ask him the same questions ur asked here.
Avatar f tn Taking 10 30mg per day for 2 months, 6-7 30mg for two months, prior to that using 5-10 Norco 10/325 for 18 months. Can anyone estimate how long the major withdrawals will last if I go cold turkey? I am so terrified but have GOT to do this now. I have Clonodine, Clonazepam, Ambien, Neurontin and Lyrica to help me through. I am scared I will die. I've heard anywhere from 5days of hell to a whole month. Can anyone who's been on a similar dose help me with an estimate?
