3055148 tn?1368211800 I assume this means your milk has come in and there getting engorged! Should hurt long, keep a bra on 24hrs a day even in bed and the shower it really helps to 'dry up' your milk supply!!
Avatar f tn Something my Doc told me that made me feel alot betters is to not stress yourself out if you want to do formula as well Some Breast milk is better then no breast milk so I bottle feed but also breast feed what I could until he was a year as well. My doc suggested to breast feed some at least for 6 months.
Avatar f tn How will I know if I can produce milk or not? I'm 32 weeks and I haven't experienced any leaking. I do feel tenderness in my breast and nipples, and I can feel something hardening (milk ducts?) I am committed to breastfeeding my child but I'm so worried it won't happen for me since my mom was incapable of doing so for me or my sister. I know it might take like 5 days after the baby is born to start producing. Are there any tips to kind of get that going? Diet wise?
Avatar f tn I'm curious as to how long you plan to breast feed?... How old do you think is too old? Are you not going to breast feed? Why? Why not? I'm a first time mom. Curious others opinions.
10913038 tn?1424227711 I gave birth Sunday and my milk came in today.
Avatar f tn Breast feeding mommas, from birth until whenever, what is your pumping schedule like? Is it every couple hours, do you just "feel" it's time? How long does it take? I would like to breast feed, but I will primarily depend on bottle feeding breast milk because of other reasons. Just curious what I should kind of expect.
1303813 tn?1303159362 now she is stuck doing something she didnt want to actually do for longer than a week. But it will be having breast milk so it will get the 'best' as they say. Just not straight from my boob.... I wont be able to because of my nipples... So yeah, plus I dont want my BF to be left out... because of his hours and everything, he wants to bond and feels thats one way how and stuff. But as long as its getting breast and im comfortable it should be okay right? I also suffer from BDD....
Avatar f tn How long does it take to lose most of your pregnancy weight I've lost 12 pounds and its been a week since I had my baby
Avatar f tn I will eat oatmeal and take fenugreek tablets to help keep producing milk. You want to keep the baby on the breast as much as possible even if she/he is using you as a pacifier, I noticed skin to skin contact with my little one has helped. My milk supply did decrease while I went back to work. I will play a video from my phone or stare at his pictures to help my milk flow when I pumped at work. I am not pregnant with baby #2 and hope to breast feed as long as possible.
11367320 tn?1421799959 I Put It In The Fridge For Later On Till I Go To See Her But I Was Wondering For How Long Is Breast Milk Good (When U Put It in The Fridge) To Feed Your Baby?
Avatar f tn I just wanted him to get the colostrum and i wanted to quit before my milk came in. I didnt plan to bf very long so i dont want to keep feeding and actually produce milk and have it be even more painful. I know to put cold packs on my boobs for 20 min 4x a day and avoid warm water on them in the shower. Any other tips??? How long should it take to quit producing considering i didnt feed for very long?
Avatar f tn How long can u leave it out after being pumped? Or can u put it in a cooler pack thing for how long?

Avatar f tn How long does it usually take for it to come in? Im having liquid coming out but its not white its like clear whitish is it suppose to look like that?
1123420 tn?1350561158 Of course babies thrive on formula, but breast milk is superior (even formula makers will tell you that). I felt that if I was capable of producing breastmilk, then I had an obligation. Not everyone feels the same- that's what drove me. my second started out bf'ing (i did find it to be easier than pumping) but many issues got in the way. I am currently pumping for her (she's 5 months) and again, i feel obligated, especially since i gave my first that advantage.
Avatar n tn I've heard that breastfeeding regularly works better than the pump to improve supply. It's still early, keep trying. Your milk supply should kick in soon. Some women also take a supplement called milky which supposedly helps.
Avatar f tn I only breast fed my daughter for two weeks due to a botched csection that landed me back in the hospital. However, I understand that spicy foods, dairy products, coffee, chocolate, cabbage, onions, green veggies, and tomatoes. It can take 2 weeks for something to leave your system (& breast milk). Keep a journal of what you eat so you can go back and what may have upset baby's belly. Some babies are very sensitive, some can live with a free for all in mom's diet.
Avatar f tn I forgot to mention that if you do notice a bit of a decrease in your milk supply and are having a hard time getting it back up again, you could try a herbal supplement called Fenugreek. You can get it at the pharmacy. The only thing with that is that your sweat and urine will start to smell like maple syrup, and the baby's will too as long as she drinks your breast milk. There is also something called Mother's Milk tea which I think you can also get at the pharmacy.
