it is no wonder that the Biaxin is doing well for your son as it is a macrolide as well (clarithromycin) and works as an anti inflammatory. Those with CF have been prescribed long term antibiotic therapy with Zithromax for some time now, that is how I came to being put on it...not for my asthmatic problems. I agree with you, it has done wonders as far as needing less bursts of steroids etc...and having fewer exacerbations.

I was feeling much better on the generic Biaxin but yet again dont know if it was doing any good and maybe just letting the pathogen roam free??? my hair didnt start falling out excessivly until I started the generic biaxin.......and we did test my thyroid funtion but did not test it until after I went back on the Azitho.... which the results were normal and im still losing hair but not as fast.......

I am 3 months pregnant and am prone to sinus infections and it seems the only antibiotic that works for me is biaxin. I have a sinus infection now, is it safe to take biaxin 2 pills together for ten days?

I may get tested just to clear my head, but to so I understand, in your opinion even if infected, after 8 months even if no Biaxin at all, is it likely that by now infection would have already cleared up? Just trying to understand how long infections can last. Thanks again.

1) how long was the challenge, and did the western blot detect after this period of antibiotic use. 2) What is the most common first antibiotic.? 3) Most important to me - Did you feel different - if there was die-off? 4) If you feel no die-off symptoms, can it be assumed that you dont have a tic bacteria? How long on antibiotics would prove this?

Saw my LLMD in San Francisco on Friday and he said that my Erlichoisis is cleared but wants me to stay on my meds (Ketek & Cipro) for another 30 days. My testing for lyme is still coming up positive and there were more positive bands and stronger ones than my last test three months ago. He said that the meds I'm currently are on do not treat lyme. After this course of meds, I am switching to Amox & Biaxin to begin treating the lyme. My CD57 shot up from like 20 to 87 though!

I've recently gone from 50mg Sertraline to 100mg sertraline about a week ago. Transition was relatively smooth apart from slight nausea. I have severe social anxiety,I feel like everyone is judging me. Causes me to be socially awkward and panic.ive decided on my own accord to take 200mg a day although should only be on 100mg. How long until I will feel socially comfortable ? Surely can't take 6 weeks like it initially does when starting anti depressant.

I took clarithromycine as an alternative in chronic Lyme but Doxy is preferred and if your bite was recent you won't need to be on it long enough (hopefully) to need to change meds. Biaxin could very well do the trick though.

they are cyst-busters. I was on biaxin for that purpose (along with another med to kill the bugs after they came out of the cyst), but had a reaction to it after several months; so the dr switched me to flagyl and a different antibiotic. It's a fair question why the dr would give you two cyst busters. Sounds like a lot. Good luck with the new job!! Sounds like a good one.

That's a call your doc should make -- and I think every doc has a service that will send an urgent message through to the doc even on weekends and at night for emergencies. I'd call the doc's office, and leave a message with the service. The doc may trade off 'taking call' with other docs, so it's possible some other doc you haven't seen would call you back, but it's worth a try.

I haven't taken either of the above, but I know that warnings of permanent side effects from antibiotics and parasitic medications aren't always made well known, so I thought the post was extremely helpful to any of those suggested to take these meds. I, myself, have been experiencing horrible muscle spasms since my 2 day stint with Biaxin.

They put me on Biaxin and told me to rest. I have been on Biaxin now for a little over two weeks and I am almost finished with the pills. My period was supposed to come on Nov. 28th or 29th and still hasn't showed up yet. I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms like spotting, breast tenderness, or sickness other than headaches that I usually get. The only time I had sex without a condom was on Sat.

He said he will test me for any bacterias. Would this have covered sti testing? And how accurate would it be? I also took biaxin for a throat problem a week ago. Doc gave me 500mg pills twice a day for 5 days. and I took them for 3 days then stopped for 2 day then finished the last 2 days after cause I found out that I have to do all of them. I had a very long period when I had to have a long nap evey afternoon. My doc said it is not a bad thing, it often means the body is getting really busy working on the infection. He said having a daily nap wouòd do me lots of good. Remember, even when we lymies look as if we're doing nothing, on a cellular level we are EXTREMELY busy.

And what works. I have took Amoxicillian several times in the last year and a half. This is number 5 or 6. I am herxing tho over it, so that means its working i suspect.
