Hi Effie. "What exactly were your symptoms?" << These have changed over the years. At the time, when I felt the problem I had allsorts, from nausea, to pain in the genitals areas, some of them have caused concern and I am sure the anxiety of this has not helped improve things. As I said my doctors believe I may have an STD, however I have told them that I have had 1 partner, and we were each others first. I don't quite know how it is possible to get an STD from this.
Back in July I had an UTI and was treated for it with cipro. The symptoms never seemed to go away. I to would have vaginal burning. I was treated again for the symptoms, but the burning just wouldn't go away. I went to the gyno. They did a swab and she said she did she a few clue cells, but everything looked normal. She wented ahead and gave me Flagyl for Bacterial vaginosis and Diflucan to take after finishing the Flagyl.
I wish I was inclined to tell you medically the correct thing to do for the better of you. I'm not. I will tell you, I wouldn't miss that for the world. I'd have to take that chance to be there to watch her get her White Coat that she deserves, after all of your hard work and hers to get there. Trust me, she wants and needs you there as bad and as much as you want to be there.
How long does it takes for fungal infection to heal? I am still getting irritation on my skin where it was infected. I stop using the cream when i feel no irritation , after a while it comes back. I need some guidance here.
Does anyone know how long it will take to get rid of this burning? It is awful. Does anyone know how long it will take for all of this cream to come out? Please do not take the one day if you have an infection. I seriously am in more discomfort than I was before I started any treatment. This product needs to be banned and taken off the market!!!!
So sad that it takes so little to throw me off. I have one more day of antibiotics myself for the sinus infection (Augmentin). I really want to start the Midodrine but might just wait till next weekend in case of how it might affect me at first...especially after that dizziness the first time. I suppose I could try it out for one dose when it's the least risky this week...since it's so short acting. That's one thing I don't like about it. I wish it were a one a day kind of medication.
The fine line is wether you take it to change how and what you feel, not what it is prescribed for. I drank to change how and what I was feeling and thinking, not just to be social , surely not that. I did it maybe to be able to be social. Not feel on the outside. Hey some of us with meetings under our belts have heard all this, I write this for those who havn't.
(and I got an ear infection while on the augmentin, how I have no idea! lol) Z pack 1x a day for 5 days. Augmentin 500 mg 3x a day for 10 days. Never missed or skipped a dose, all taken exactly as ordered. I am currently taking: Tussionex Pennkinetic Suspension MPI one tablespoon every 12 hours (taking it only at bedtime though since it makes me so sleepy, and I have two kids I am solely responsible for during the day while my husband is at work.
guess i just haveta wait for the antibiotics to work. Dr. said to see him Friday if i wasn't better but i am, especially in comparison to how i felt tuesday. I'm so tired of dealing with Dr.'s, insurance stuff, medical records, meds, pharmacies . . . it's a good thing i'm not working coz this is a full time job. i ask for advice here coz if other people have had similar stuff i know i probably don't haveta worry . . . . 58 down 14 to go.
If your doctor is worried that you might have pneumonia, a chest x-ray can look to see if there's an infection, especially for those who have coughed for more than 3 weeks. With a viral bronchitis, you should avoid antibiotics especially zpacks (Zithromax / azithromycin) which are overprescribed for these symptoms , and can lead to side effects and adverse drug reaction such as rash, antibiotic drug resistance and yeast infections.
Having UTI for the past 3yrs with symptoms like: burning sensation, whitish discharge, back pain, unclear sight, skin rashes, weakness &others . Mcs reveals its staphylococcus aureus and at times spp. Taking so many antibiotics including: Augmentin, ciprofloxacin, ceftriazone, cefuroxime and many others. all to no avail. Currently undergoing a pelvis x-ray and sfa mcs. What effect could this have on my fertility and other vital organs like kidney which is part of d urinary system?
so then the yeast over grow and you're left in misery - i know it sucks, and it happens every time i take ANY antibiotic that isn't for a UTI. Penicillin, Biaxin, Augmentin, you name it - if i have to take it for more than 7 days i'll get a yeast infection. Simple solution to this - talk to you OB/GYN about this.
Prostatitis is usually not a side effect of use of flomax, indeed it can happen due to BPH, for which flomax is used as treatment. It would be better to get prostrate examination done by a urologist and take opinion for surgery for resolving these symptoms. Choice of antibiotics depends upon the kind of organism affecting the prostrate. Best.
honey you are a half step away from having to use insulin to treat your diabetes!! diabetics are prone to yeast issues as well as skin infections in general. at this point you should be following up properly on this with a dermatologist. this is not a std related issue so further questions should be in a more appropriate forum.
He was told to take Augmentin for 7 days again. Was this long enough? Does this mean his infection is being caused by the prostate or coming from the urinary tract. Is he being treated properly? He had no symptoms to begin with. How do we know if he gets it again (since he had no symptoms to begin with). How do we prevent this from happening again and finally is this something I may have given him and I should have been treated as well.
He did tests which all came back negative for any STD - urine and microbiology tests. He thought it was some kind of an UTI and prescribed me augmentin for treatment. After a week on this antibiotic I didn't feel much better, although the symptoms were changing - somewhat less burning, showing up in the morning after I wake up. He suggested I also visit urologist. The urologist examined my prostate and it was inflated. At that time a rash was visible on the head of the penis, slightly burning.
I know that this is not the urology forum, but from your experience, is bacterial prostatitis curable? How long does it take? As you can imagine, I am entering an extreme state of depression.
You take one tablet and apply the cream to the end of your penis for about a week (7 - 10 days) the cream should sooth the itching, but you should still continue to use the cream even after it feels better for as long as 7 - 10 days so to makesure all the candida has gone because you have had it for quite a while. You can buy this from a chemist, or you can go into a shop such as boots or superdrug or even asda.
They are somewhat more muted, but I'm still I'm very disappointed. How long does it take to clear up, if this is what it is? 4. I've recently contracted these symptoms after being with a new partner. What should he be tested for? 5. I have a second opinion with an OBGYN scheduled for next Tuesday, since the first doctor who diagnosed me treated me with such disdain and couldn't really explain much about what it is. I finish the erythromycin on Monday.
), and so on. I would have gotten carpel tunnel looking for all that stuff, and figuring out how to get it here on time. I may try more on-line shopping next year; sounds like a good idea. I don't like to use my debit card online, though. For my roommate I could have gotten a credit card from her, hmmmm.... I'd prefer a can of Progresso chicken barley soup to McDonalds! That's what I had for Thanksgiving. The good thing about my tummy troubles is I've now lost 13 pounds.
I am the original poster and look at all of the people that posted below me with the same exact issue. I was given Cipro for a MILD UTI, never should have given it to me and I am to this day very upset about it.
Let me note that I am not one to go to a doctor.  I have an unhealthy fear of medical treatment.  All of these trips for medical intervention were acts of pure bravery and desperation.   Luckily, I had a tick attach itself to me in June this year, and got prophylactic doxycycline.  That may have made me feel the best of all the antibiotics, although I credit Levaquin for clearing up the infection in the flesh in my nose.  Doxycycline just made me feel healthy, and gave me endurance.
I shall go back to bed in a mo to see if I can drop off. How many more antibiotics have you left to take?
I am in my mid twenties and have had excessive vaginal wetness (aka large puddle on the bed, needing to take a break during intercourse to wipe off) when I become aroused as long as I can remember. I don't think most people understand how annoying and sexually dissatisfying this is. I am so frustrated every time I ask for help most people just say how lucky I am (definatly don't feel that way).
If a urinary tract infection it can get into your kidneys and cause a kidney infection. The only alternative for a UTI is to try to drink lots of cranberry juice and water for several days and see if it goes away. You would have pain on urination and have to urinate frequently. If it is a wound that could be more serious as it could get into your blood stream. So, it depends. In that case I would get treated and not have sex until it clears up. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Like someone posted before, too many of those pills can cause a problem, but I take them every now and again if I ever notice any weird discharge or anything, and I've been living relatively pain free for the past few months. And I don't know how smart it is to use those towelettes down there, so I rarely use it. Only if the twinge pain I get every now and again seems like it will become a problem.
I went to see my doctor today and from the cultures done last time finally I found out I have strep B, the doctor was very understanding and has now given me a course of penacilin and 2 tablets to avoid getting a yeast infection - 1 to take before the penacilin and 1 to take at the end of the course. I too am trying to research on the net but keep finding info for pregnant women.. I am 27 and definitely NOT pregnant.
