December 16, 2016, diagnosed with UTI was placed on the antibiotic Bactrim, symptoms did not go away went to the walk in clinic they repeated the urine and it showed UTI. Placed me on Cipro symptoms were not any better,culture from walk in showed contamination so they wanted to repeat the specimen. Went to the clinic and gave a repeat specimen, it showed Entercoccus was placed on Augmentin. From research I have found that the only thing that works on Entercoccus bacteria is vancomycin.
Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. However, this UTI is hurting so badly!!! If It is too risky then I can`t take it!!!! Please help me. If the medication doesn`t go with my seizure condition, then please tell me what the safest antibiotic would be. Thank you!!!

If you took augmentin, and it cleared up for you, it was a UTI and not an STI.
You bought her clotrimazole? That's medication for a yeast infection, which can happen for lots of reasons, and is also not an STI.
Your wife is pregnant, though, and I understand why you are worried. After you've been off the augmentin for 3 weeks, test for all STIs to be able to put this behind you.
Take the antibiotics, with my first son I had a uti but didn't realise until I was in the back of an ambulance with my womb contracting due to a uti at 18 weeks. I was started on an anti biotic drip & steroids to mature the baby's lungs.
I am not sure it would be safe to give lots of cranberry juice to a child they are too young for that I think. It may cause their blood sugar to get too far off. How is he doing today?

Back in July I had an UTI and was treated for it with cipro. The symptoms never seemed to go away. I to would have vaginal burning. I was treated again for the symptoms, but the burning just wouldn't go away. I went to the gyno. They did a swab and she said she did she a few clue cells, but everything looked normal. She wented ahead and gave me Flagyl for Bacterial vaginosis and Diflucan to take after finishing the Flagyl.

2) Is doxycycline the usual treatment for STDs? and not treatment for UTI ? If my pain is reduced due to doxycycline does it mean I belong to STD problem?
3) can an STD show up positive on a UTI test (blood + urine)? I think the doctor only took the UTI test because I don't have a partner and don't have sex. it is possible that they focus on UTI. but the result is negative. no infection.

I have some weird smell in my upper palate and the top of my rhinopharynx after taking Augmentin 1000 (Amoxicillin + Clavulanic acid), 2x/day for 5.5 days to cure my Helicobacter and gastritis. I took the last pill ~40 hours ago, but still got this ... strange, foul smell, and it drives me nuts!

"What exactly were your symptoms?" << These have changed over the years. At the time, when I felt the problem I had allsorts, from nausea, to pain in the genitals areas, some of them have caused concern and I am sure the anxiety of this has not helped improve things.
As I said my doctors believe I may have an STD, however I have told them that I have had 1 partner, and we were each others first. I don't quite know how it is possible to get an STD from this.
The reason i posted here is i was thinking it must be gonnorhea or clamydia (despite negative testing) - basically the only thing i havent been treated for? But i have been tested 3 times now.. Does anyone know if a Dr is aloud to treat me for gonnorhea and clamydia even though i have had multiple negative tests? I am concerned that damage is being done to my reproductive organs.
Unfortunately last week, I also had take antibiotics for a UTI so I think I could have some nausea from that. Have to see my internist on Monday so I will ask her about the GI symptoms. Hope the UTI is all cleared up as I had no symptoms but the urinalysis results showed infection. Hate taking all these meds!
