1) Should I be worried that my cough lasted so long or is that normal? How long should the fatigue last for? Does this mean I have a bad immune system? Could smoking ciggarettes be preventing me from getting better? Okay the second thing I'm worried about is my ears... So two days ago I noticed a slight loss of hearing in my right ear. It kinda felt like it was muffled or like I was in a high altitude.
I am just curious how long it took you to conceive after Mirena IUD removal? How long until your menstrual cylces were regular? I got my IUD out on Aug 5th and am ttc. I have had lots of spotting and maybe a period but nothing regular. I called my doc and they said that it takes 3 months before the hormones are out of your system. The mirena website makes it sound as though you can get pregnant anytime after removal. Any advice/stories would be appreciated. Thanks.
if I had remainned working for the other guy I would have been let go a long, long time ago because of the prejudice. It is AMAZING how people seem to forget all about the laws which are in place to protect us and I'm just glad I copied all those super secret emails just in case something happened.
Of course I know it is a false feel good but I have a problem with opiates and was looking for maybe somone like me to help me through, they are ruining my life but your comment certainly does not make me feel good about this community .
Everytime I do a search it comes up possible Lymphoma.
with a mask), practice good hygiene with hand washing and don't touch your own eyes, nose and mouth. What's important is that if in the last week you have been to Mexico, San Diego, Imperial County or Texas, and come back with a flu like illness with fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose, and possibly vomiting and diarrhea, call your doctor. You may benefit from Tamiflu or Relenza pills.
If you get pneumonia (seen on a CXR) soon after an ILI, consider asking your doctor for both antibiotics AND Tamiflu even if it's more than 72 hours after your symptoms started. This is more helpful for those who are more sick. Some very sick pregnant women with H1N1 and pneumonia have benefited from Tamiflu even starting a week after symptoms started. Tamiflu is not recommended for prophylaxis-- to prevent getting H1N1. It is most appropriate for persons who have high risk conditions (e.g.
This is basically a build-up of small tissue or lumps within the immune system of your body. What happens is that something triggers it - like your body legitimately fighting a toxin or an illness - but your body doesn't stop fighting it when the toxin leaves or the illness is cured. (Such as the person with the bug bites and those of us that has bronchitis at some point?) So the result is that these clumps of cells are formed.
Before you get too “conspiracy theory” on me, let me assure you that I am not going to talk about how the influenza virus pandemic is the work of terrorists (unless the Napoleon and Snowball are trying to take over our farm). I am also not suggesting that children are terrorists (although some do raise my suspicion). The virus that brought such worry and even panic seems now to be “fizzling out” and people are now questioning if the authorities and the press overreacted to the threat.
once you are exposed, the smell does not disappear once you leave the area. For both me and my co-worker, it can remain in your system for up to 2 days before it completely disappears. Of course if you are continually exposed on a daily basis, you get no relief. It took me almost a year to figure this out. I hope that this information is helpful.
Also - noted in the press release is that it contains Chicken & Egg .. for those with severe allergies. ----> I am assuming asthmatics should NOT take the intra-nasal and be offered the vaccine -- similar to protocol with regular flu-season shots? Anybody know ? I didn't see it on the FDA Q & A section {{{ yet }}}} that is.
Well, I just found this post and had to respond depite the delay. My 20 month old is having a similar problem. She is not in daycare so is not catching viruses from other children and other members of our household are not ill (including a baby brother). She has been taken to the ER are several occasions with a fever over 105. (Twice it was 106.5.
and, broadly speaking, if the glands in the throat are inflamed does it mean the infection is in the throat/face and inflamed glands in your groin means the genitals are infected? i don't want to infect anyone else obviously (as kissing and skin touching can transmit) but i also don't want to have an embarrassing conversation with a 'kinda regularish' partner i don't need to have. thanks for your reply btw! sorry for so many questions. just a bit worried is all.
There are many viruses and infections that can cause the symptoms you told us. The one to be worried about is a secondary infection of the respiratory system (in the lungs it would be called pnemonia). People with lung diseases (asthma, COPD etc) has more sensitive lungs as well as most people take some sort of inhaled steriod which also can lower your overall immune system and make it hard to fight off infections.
Just was wondering has anyone out there been diagnosed with the H1N1? If so how are you doing? What are your symptoms and how bad is it? Did you have the vaccine at all? Did you catch it after or before the vaccine was administered? What are you doing to take care of yourself? What did the doctor prescribe after finding out you have it? If you don't have it do you know anyone who has been diagnosed with it?
Hi Everyone, Welcome brave Tramadol Warriors ... Come on in and make yourself comfy ... there's room for all!
*Not everybody may be good at using a Neti pot, but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton swabs dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.* 5 *Boost your natural immunity with Vitamin C. *See below for the best delivery system of vitamin c ever! Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C. 6. *Drink as much of warm liquids (tea, coffee, etc) as you can.
Please, don't do this to yourself anymore-stress is not good for your immune system either. I know, you know that! =D I think that everyone will be fine, if they do the normal handwashing, and stay away from obviously sick people. Dr. Choi has mentioned the same thing!
I want to add that people with compromised immune systems are the ones who get the worst symptoms and even die from flu (regardless of what strand it is). So if your immune system is healthy (you don't have cancer or an autoimmune issue, etc.) I wouldn't worry so much!
There is a nasal swab that is a diagnostic tool for true flu. But, unfortunately, by the time you got your Tamiflu, you had probably been sick too long for it to do any good. I think you should go back to the original place you went, and demand that they recheck your chart. If what you said is accurate, you did not receive complete care, and they should not charge you again for the visit. This has happened with my parents hospital.

Any thoughts as what I should do, I noticed it was there on Sunday because I felt it and thought I got it out thinking it was a scab, I don't have a clue how long it was in there for...I could use some help on what to do.
The drug you need to go to your doctor and request, is called Tamiflu (by Roche). You want the 75mg capsules. It comes in a prepared dosage box of 10. You take two a day for 5 days if you get the flu now. The Surgeon General this morning posted a warning that this is NOT the flu season, so if you get the flu, it will be swine flu! Remember there's NOTHING else out there to kill this flu virus. If you don't take care of this, it could be fatal!
The vaccine is designed to allow stimulation of Anti bodies, but that the vaccines is held in check in non Transplantees infection wise by their own Immune System . In a transplant patient the H1N1 is , infection wise , not a good idea.
Please tell me what are my chances considering the symptoms, fever, nausea, cold, stuffy nose, chest congestion, loss of appetite. 2. I'm in Toronto and the medical system here is like government service. I would say worst compared to the developing countries because government pays for treatment as I have visited many countries. I`m not sure the family doctors are well aware of different types of HIV testing etc.
antibiotics can cause yeast in your mouth...so more than likely that is what is going on. you wouldnt necessarily "feel" anything this soon after being infected with hiv...and it is waaaaaaaay too late for seroconversion symptoms to be lingering. may i ask how long it has been since your LAST unprotected intercourse?
I feel like my immune system is lowered , but I had medical blood tests done and all is normal. Can anyone help or have suggestions?
1. The swine flu is simply another flu. It is not unusually deadly. 2. This is the first time both seasonal and pandemic flu vaccines will be administered. Both seasonal flu and swine flu vaccines will require two inoculations. This is because single inoculations have failed to produce sufficient antibodies. This is an admission that prior flu vaccines were virtually useless. Can you trust them this time? 3.
My opinion if you do not get colds easily then your immune system is pretty good. I have been told by many in the medical field that the key is to " WASH HANDS". My infectious disease doctor told me that the chances are not any different than being exposed to colds, or regular flu and contracting them. Just continue to wash hands; at our work we have a bottle of germ x in every corner and everyone uses it. So far, not one person sick.
” Any enlarging lung nodule can be cancer but, given the second sentence of your (next) paragraph (“I don’t smoke …), your age and especially, the slow growth of the lesion, the odds are much in your favor that this lesion is benign. Such slow growth of malignant tumors can occur, but is rare. “this is a metastasized tumor from somewhere else.” Again, the growth issue.
