I'm up to 10 to 15 a day now and take five just to get me moving in the morning. This is no way to live. How long and how hard are the with drawals from it? I don't want to live my life around this drug anymore. Just a word of encouragment some times is what I think I need and to know that I am not alone.
I hope today is a better day for you...Good for you for saying no to your mom's pills...The last thing you want is to trade one pill for another right now. You're doing so well-be proud of yourself. Your pain levels should regulate soon and as for the anxiety? Exercise and staying busy are the best things. Hang in there....
How long until I start to feel better? I am off of work for a week (I planned this to coincide with my vacation). I would have gone into a detox or something but I have no one to take care of my house, etc.
Stomach still upset. All I want to do is sleep and my body won't let me. Its amazing how helpful this site is. We can do this!!! It help knowing others understand and have been or are there with you..
I am now at the end of week 5. I am not sure where my old self is, because it is not even my old self feeling so incredibly tired, it's a person I don't recognize feeling so incredibly tired. My only pain is stiffness in my neck & an occasional shoulder blade knot, but 24 hours of every day I feel as though I'm being choked. I can not do more than 1 errand or activity in a day; ie.
Abrupt cessation of a benzo is not recommended and can actually be dangerous. How long have you been off the Xanax now?
I had my initial thyroidectomy due to papillary thyroid cancer on 01/19/2010 when I was 28, half my thyroid was cancerous with a big lump sticking out of my neck but I felt fine/normal. Since then I have been plagued with continuous pain, fatigue, and muscle tension (especially my back where the ribs connect to the spine, the tension and pain make it hard to breath)... my endocrine specialist is if anything special ed and definitely not what I would call a specialist in any since of the word.
Thanks for the reply. I suggested co-infection and they would ramble off about how co-infection is "impractical since I never saw a bulls-eye rash," thus making the fact of getting biten by an infected tick even less practical, and how it has been to long to test for co-infection, and besides "there is no good test for co-infection yet!" (*face-palm*) As far as Marphan's goes, I don't know!
For the first day, it did take away all of my shoulder pain but, even now, I feel the muscle tension has increased on both shoulders and across the upper back (After dealing with 10-15 dislocations a day for a year or so, I have developed a good feel for what is happening in that reagion of my body.) I don't want to trade the constant ache and occasional sharp stab for muscle pulls... I had tried Celebrex and Mobic prior to this but, that was in conjunction with the narcotics.
THanks for the advise. I don't get how xanex is addictive??? and what is Benzo? Is it addictive to anyone? I have known people who like it (xanex) but I have NEVER liked the feeling it gives me. It just makes me tierd and calm (which I don't like to be and don't have time to be w/ 5 kids, so it has just helped w/ the anxiety. Do you think maybe people that like to be super relaxed get addicted or just anyone. I took 1mg for a couple days and .25mg the last few days.
Deep down I know someone cares and doesn't want me to take that pill to make everything ugly fade away for as long as the high will last. It is just that right now at this very moment, I know they are others out there like me, who feel as if we don't have a friend in the world and we are fighting so hard not to take that pill. I am going to resist it and hope that you will too and that maybe you will come talk to me and we'll help each other...
Hey - how long does it take for Xanax to exit your system? Oh by the way update for everyone - I have left the company I was with, the suit is over and let's put it this way, I'm retired at 28 !
I don't know. My body is strange, and I just account alot of things as nothing. There is no telling how long. Seriously, after the first baby, it was obvious to my opthomologist. 2005 How many neuros before diagnosis: 4 ot 5. Last year I was laughed at. Double vision and 20 lesions. My Optho sent me to a different Neuro this year and he Dx me right away. Sent me for a second opinion on Dec 1st confermed on Dec 22.

and he has always been pretty thin. So....I'm very confused about all of this. How could someone be so sick for so long...and have abnormal liver tests....and then suddenly start getting better even though he continues to drink heavily??!! How is this possible? I'm so perplexed by this and I'm afraid to get my hopes up too much here. I have been reading that people with liver disease have poor appetites and actually get thinner...
I am saved by grace and mercy alone, and take no credit for my salvation. I certainly don't deserve it that is for sure. I can tell you that depression is cured by reading the Bible. God's promises are for all and when you read comforting verses it chases away the sadness and gives you motivation to quit. He is the only answer. I will always be an addict, until I die, and go to heaven, and then I won't have to struggle with this anymore.
I have had what feels like nearly ever test known to man with very little understanding of what is wrong or how to treat it. I am having to jump through hoops now for disability. You would think with both my PCP and the Rhuematologist signing forms saying that what I have is debilitating and will not get better or go away, it would be a no brainer but apparently not.... I have been on plaquenil for more than a year and have seen NO relief from it but they tell me to keep taking it anyway.
Intimacy level is gone (if you get the drift) I'm currently taking Diclofenac for anti-inflammatory, Cyclobenzaprine for muscle relaxer and antibiotic for sinus infection) None of those work. Last November I was treated for Labyrinthitis (I lost control of the right side of my body, my head was spinning and I was highly nauseous) My CT Scan was clean so doctor did not want to do MRI. Anyway, that was too long for me to type....You aren't having any other symptoms are you?

Today I got my blood test results, and I am so frustrated. My TSH levels went UP !!! This is after 3 months of being on .075, and it won't go down! I've been fighting for 7 months to get it down from 16. At first it did go down, to 13. Then up to 13.44, and now to 14.07. I know this isn't a lot, but even the doctor is confused of why its not going lower.... I cant wait until Feb.1st. get to finally see an endo, see what is going on.
PCP stopped my Lisinopril/HCTZ for awhile to see if it was the cause of my constant cough and night time choking to point of vomiting.... she also had me to do a SALIVA test--- to check for various allergies (foods) and /or GI parasites and bacterial infections... kinda gross-- had to fill 2 vials with saliva, each held about 5 ml.... 1 in the morning first thing, second around noon. Got to drop off at UPS today and get shipped to Lab.
Just for future reference/searches. If this is what the capsule looks like: http://www.pharmer.org/node/5822 Collins is a foreign pharmaceutical company in Mexico. They use the same green/yellow capsules for multiple medications they produce, so it's really just a guess what's inside the capsules as they don't mark medications like in the US. The two known medications they use that capsule with are 'Flocet' (fluoxetine) and 'Veldrol' (tramadol).
I just tried Robaxin and that too, is too strong for me. It makes my head foggy and gives me a horrid headache. I tried cutting the Robaxin in half and it doesn't work to relax the muscles and still gives me an all day headache. I feel horrible I can't take the zanaflex! It worked so well and didn't make me foggy or confused! Is there another muscle relaxer that is on the milder side?
You have been using for the past two weeks after being clean for how long? How long did you use before that? My non expet addict self says to suck it up and withdraw now. Using more drugs to get off drugs has never been the successful route for me.
my neck to alleviate some pressure but it only helps for a couple seconds. The bottom of my head going into the base of my neck is very sensitive to pressure and I have neck muscle tics as a result. I am no expert, but from my personal experience: I have seen my neurologist because of these head aches as well as frequent migraines.
She was looking like in a 7th month pregnant; but I know for sure, she is a very small eater. It is the medication that made her so fat. Look up the side effects in Google. Neurontin and Lyrica are both severe weight gaining and hardly help. My friend had the same nerve pains but "believed" in Neurontin, and I did not dare to say that she is round like a beer barrel. One must put every pill like on a scale and see, "Is it worth it or not"....
Just picked up the Diazepam and Amitriptyline, spoke to the pharmacists, she said no issues with drug interactions, just I shouldn't drive until I get use to the effects. Should be no problem since I haven't driven since October, because I have been too dizzy. I'll let you know how tomorrow goes.
