Common Questions and Answers about How long does zyprexa withdrawal last

zyprexa

Avatar f tn t sleep when I took that, which makes no sense since people take it to help insomnia. How long do withdrawals last getting off this drug and what can I do in the meantime? Please help!
5093508 tn?1390543931 It is possible that she feels that when taken, Zyprexa will dull the anxiety enough to help with the Valium withdrawal but here in the US, this is not a typical benzo taper. Why not ask her outright why she is prescribing this drug? Express your concerns and the contra-indications (heart health, stroke, renal health, diabetes, etc.) & see what her reasoning is? Also, is she tapering you off both Zoplicone and Valium at once? Some Drs. would want to do one at a time.
1623698 tn?1299161234 How long does it take and how do I reduce the amount? I've been changed from Zyprexa to Seroquel because my depression came back. Within days I was extremely dizzy and nauseous and I concluded that it was withdrawal from Zyprexa so the Psychiatrist said to go back on it. Two months later, when I was feeling better, we tried it again but the same thing happened. By this time I was being told that I had an inner ear problem or it was caused by the new med.

Avatar m tn So, now she is off the butalbital - cold turkey and says the withdrawal is hell. Does anyone know how long the withdrawal lasts? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn I have had four months of nausea and dizziness because my dr. took me off Zyprexa and put me on another med. I thought my symptoms were from withdrawal but he said that I shouldn't experience withdrawal from Zyprexa, especially since the new drug, Seroquel, was in the same class. So I was told I had an inner ear problem for the last four months and have been suffering through these symptoms.
1030383 tn?1338460785 I don't know how long it will last, it depends highly on the medication and what dose you're taking and how quickly you withdraw from it but I believe cold turkey withdrawal is the longest and hardest withdrawal of them all.
Avatar f tn I also had to use medication to sleep since I had severe insomnia without the Zyprexa. I hate to be the one to tell you all this but yes there are major w/d and they are long and painful. Check the web for w/d off these drugs and you will come across forums dedicated to them and the horror. I am on here since I am detoxing another notorious drug methadone, guess I am gluten for punishment or made some bad uninformed choices but Methadone while horrible I must say is easier than Zyprexa.
Avatar m tn Everyone is different, but for me, the withdrawal symptoms lasted about a week, and peaked in intensity about days 3 and 4! It really does depend on how much and how long, to estimate how strong and long your symptoms will be! If you haven't already done so, please check out the Thomas Recipe at the bottom of the page!
