I would never recommend taking Ortho Evra to anyone!!! I was on it for just over a year with no complications when I started to have symptoms like the ones you mentioned. I was convinced someone was going to kill me and I hated being home alone. The symptoms got worse and all of a sudden I had horrible pregnancy symptoms and began having really serious anxiety attacks and was so depressed I couldn't get out of bed.
My husband and I are TTC, I have been off the patch since december and am still having irregular cycles, has any one been thru this that can give me an idea of how long it'll take for my cycles to regulate and thus concieve?
I do have a friend that was on NuvaRing and I know she liked it, her only complaint was it felt funny during sex, it would become dislodged and her boyfriend was able to feel it. If it does happen to fall out, in the toliet for instance, you are just supposed to rinse it off and put in back in place! Too weird for me!
So, I started taking Ortho Evra back in 2002 to regulate my cycles, I took it for a couple of years and it worked just fine. I wasn't sexually active so I wasn't needing it to prevent pregnancy. I stopped taking it in 2006. My cycles had been pretty irregular, they were all over the calendar, but this last 10 months, they had been particularly bad, every 20-22 days.
When I was 18 I finally got on birth control to regulate it. I started on Ortho Tri Cyclin and then switched to Ortho Evra. I was on Ortho Evra for about 5 years and had no difficulties with it and my period became normal. I stopped taking all birth control in August of 2008. I was expecting to have an irregular period again, but it is much worse.
On average I've been getting my "period" about every two months, but I bleed much more than that.
Anyhow I feel good for the most part but notice during cycle time I get very anxious and tired with tummy issues and until it is over then I go back to normal. I am taking ortho evra but have to change as my insurance doesn't cover it anymore. So I am wondering not taking anything or Mirena. I just thought maybe without Bc I wouldn't be so impacted on my thyroid. And so will b vitamins help my energy. I am a on the go person but since hashimoto I am just not the same.

I'm on the ortho evra patch and I always put it in the same spot. I got a rash in that spot so I moved my patch and that week with the patch on I started my period as I would when not wearing it. I was on it that full time then I took my patch off for my actual period week and was still bleeding. So a total of two weeks on my period. Is this normal when moving the patch to a different part of the body?
Hi, I'm on my second month of ortho evra patches and I think I may be pregnant. I have swollen breast and they're tender, I have veins on my breast, my lower back hurts, I've gotten sick every night for the past two weeks. My period was late last month and it was super light. I'm took a dollar store test and it said neg. I'm thinking maybe my "period" wasn't a period.
