Avatar m tn After my two top teeth are removed, how long does it take for the bleeding to stop? Is it likely to occur for 1-2 weeks? Will it always be actively bleeding?

Avatar f tn Also, my front teeth on the bottom left feel like they are numb/loose. Is this common? I figured that a nerve was bruised but how long does it normally take on average for a nerve to heal? Will this be permanent? Thank you for any feedback or past experiences posted. This discussion is related to Bruised nerve due to wisdom tooth extraction.
Avatar n tn How long did it take to resolve???
Avatar m tn Here is the background story: Got my wisdom teeth removed beginning of Jan; it's been a month. Surgery was the worst surgeon had done, according to him, it was supposed to take 30 minutes but took 2 hours, even had to take x-rays during because bottom teeth were really badly impacted; I was under local anesthesia. So during the 2nd week, I realized I had this weird sensation on my chin and bottom teeth as well as bottom (my left) side of lip.
Avatar f tn i took the following day off from work as a precaution but with just over the counter meds i felt fine. i cant remember how long it took to heal but it was pretty quick. just remember to follow all the dentists instructions to avoid complications. dont be nervous! i am a baby too and it wasnt that bad!
Avatar n tn 1. Will it in fact heal over? 2. If so, how long? 3. If it needs to be corrected, what is involved? Does it require more oral surgery?
Avatar m tn Hi well if your on them be sure to tell the anesthesiologist b/4 surgery there may be problems both are resprtoy inhibitors dont try to hide this......
Avatar f tn I noticed a spot on the inside of my mouth, below/ between teeth 27 and 28 on May 21st. I thought it was a canker sore forming. It's quite small, not sore but hasn't changed since I found it. It's slightly pink with a lighter spot in the center. When I first noticed it, it felt like loose skin. I went to my dentist today and she re x-rayed. I'd just had my cleaning and exam on May 12th with panorama and 4 bite wing x-rays.
Avatar f tn I need to have them out. I am terrified of the dentist. Cleanings are okay, but I don't like the surgeries. I don't mean that I'm apprehensive, I mean that I cry. I scream. It's like a phobia. My dad has the same problem. I've had fillings and the numbding medicine makes my jaw freeze open. Last time, I had to go to the ER to pop it back in place. Obviously, I don't want to re-live that. Is there a way I could get sedated?
Avatar f tn t want an unnecessary surgery, but they can do it if they have to it just has to be a really good reason.
Avatar n tn subtract your age from 90, and that's how many years you should wait.
Avatar n tn sory to be so indefinite, but it may be a sign of TMJ and it may or may not be related to the Wisdom teeth removal----- remember when those teeth are removed, your jaw is manipulated and stetched in unnatural ways to get them out. The muscles can easily go into spasm right after or a short time later.... It's odd that you were fine and then it started acting up after you are pretty much healed, but i guess it is possible.
Avatar n tn The sores are probably a result of the surgery and should heal as the sockets heal.I am not really sure why the front teeth are painful, I don't think it is related to the extractions but if they continue to bother you then I think a visit to your dentist is in order.
