Avatar n tn Agree with ScalpMassager, all the way. The most important thing you can do is stop smoking, and you don't need to lose weight. I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear, but dang, isn't that how it always goes, when you ask adults for advice?

Avatar n tn It's important if trying to lose weight to do it slowly.Try not to eat after 6:00 pm.Eat what you want in moderation but not after 6pm.Good nutrition a must.Keep hydrated. If you drink water it gives you a full feeling for awhile.A good exercise for your abdomen is to lay flat on hard surface take your feet and do your Capital's and lower case letters one at a time.Stretch before you do anything and take it slow.
Avatar f tn Does anybody know how long it can take to lose weight after giving birth? What are some things you can do to lose all that weight?
Avatar f tn I have taken metformin 500mg for a year. How long does it take metformin to lose its efficacy. How long it will do its work before I have to increase dosage or change medication?
Avatar f tn t expect to lose all the weight right away. It took 9 months to put it on so take 9 months to try and take it off. Stay active and eat healthy, avoiding sugars and soda. I also read that using a belly binder or girdle helps you lose the weight so I'm trying it this time around.
Avatar n tn Hello ladies well I know that eating healthy is the main important thing to loose weight or baby fat after giving birtg but how long does it take for a recent mom who gave birth to loose the baby fat?? My baby was born 10 days ago and I know that I have probably lost a bit but I still feel myself like 3ishhh or 4 months pregnant I have a belly and don't know if its the right time to start working out I feel almost done recovering but my baby was born 10 days ago...
Avatar n tn I began taking topamax recently to try and help me lose weight. I wanted to see if anyone else had any good/bad experiences with it? I know one usually takes it for headaches, but I don't. I started taking it a month ago to get it in my system, now I'm working out everyday moderately (exercise bike, dumbbells)and changed my eating habits cutting out pb, and chips which were my main downfall. Don't drink soda, alcohol or do drugs. I am on anxiety medicine.
737715 tn?1347791040 Some people say to test twice a day, because your surge could be very short and may only have a 12 hour window, which only adds to the anxiety. I would have liked to try it, but it was hard to stomach the $30 for each kit. You could still conceive naturally. OPK's are not effective on everyone. Most of the time, it is because you ovulate at times you least expect due to stress, anxiety, or life events as well as most women don't ovulate every month too.
Avatar f tn Good question, and I'd like to hear from more fit moms and their journey for fitness while pregnancy. I've been working out 5 days a week doing kick boxing for 2.5 yrs and I've heard as long as you've been active before ur pregnancy its OK but to take it easy. Still have yet to ask the Dr. But I hope more moms to be reply.
Avatar f tn With housework, I wear light weights on my ankles and arms to get a little oompf out of it. Finding ways to get more out of daily activities can make a huge difference. Of course, dietary changes are important, too. You have to burn more than you consume to lose weight. I hope some of those ideas are helpful. I really suggest seeing your doctor about medications. Monitoring your asthma with a peak flow meter wouldn't be a bad idea, either.
559862 tn?1311516637 Were any of you ladies working out rigorously prior to becoming pregnant and how long did you continue working out??? I also lift weights about once a week and wondered if anyone on here has had experience with lifting while pregnant. From what I've found (of course always ask your doc) that you can continue lifting just not your max and as you get farther in your pregnancy cut the weight in half?!?! Thanks in advance for any replies! p.s.

470885 tn?1326329037 Everybody is telling me that I've only gained weight in my belly so I "expect" to be able to go back to my body shape after giving birth. believe it or not I'm still wearing my same old clothes, the only maternity clothes I bought were a pair of black pants (for work), a pair of jeans and bras. All my shirts, other pants and underwear are my old ones. I hope I lose the belly fat soon !
1449821 tn?1421079096 Thank you for your advice, yeah I am like you I stay between 1200-1500 and every so often when I feel I need to I will have a little more, I was just worried w/what I was eating that for how much I was working out might be to much, but I am not working out like that anymore, I am still working out but not as hard as I was and I do have a dead line for me its the start of May that is about 2-3lbs a week as of right now if I remember right, Thanks again
Avatar m tn My doc recently started me on Effexor ive been on it 3 days How long does it take to start feeling the good effect from this med?
Avatar f tn If you consume too little of calories while you are working out your body will hold on to any you give it and convert it to fat. So your not showing a gain because you are losing, but your putting it on at the same time by depriving your body of the energy it needs. If its because your not tracking, little things add up. A bite of this here, a taste of that there. Even chewing gum has calories! If your measuring your hips, dont worry too much. It took me 6 weeks to lose 1 inch!!
