Common Questions and Answers about How long does it take for nasonex to work

Work with good doctors and they will eventually get you back to good health. it may take a long time (3+ years for me), but it is possible. Also, pulmonary function tests can be a little miss leading. The numbers are based on 'norms'. You may not be close to the norms even healthy. I have the opposite problem. My normal is far above the norm so doctors think I am ok when I am 30% below what is healthy for me. Basically, an FEV 1 of 70 for you may be perfectly healthy.
They think its hyperthyroid but they arent doing anything I have been to an endocrinologist as well. I have seen a cardiologist for my heart problems , At first they wanted to chuck it up to stress but my white blood cells are high and my liver tests are a little off but no one is doing anything. Ive lost so much weight because i cant really eat. Doc has put me on propranolol for my heart but that makes my asthma act up. before they just put me on valium.
That is great to hear!! We might then have some hope? according to your experience...yes! Thanks!!
But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?
I tested positive to dust mites also and just by deduction I eliminated cheese from my diet because my allergist said that I was probably intolerate to it by some reactions I had experienced before. The elimination diet is gruesome to say the least. it does seem like everything we love to eat works against us. My daughter is an RN and is going to talk to one of her doctors today about getting me in to see an Internal Medicine Doctor.
If you do fall ill, how long does it take you to recover? What does illness do to your other sx?
There is so much info out there, it is really hard to wade through it all. There are tests you can take at home for heavy metals, adrenals and Candida. They are the exact same tests that my doctor charged me a lot of money for. They're run by the same labs and everything! If you are interested, I can send you all the information. Also, please feel free to message me if you have any questions. God bless!
They just keep telling it is no big deal and I need to get used to it. Thank you for everybody who leaves any comment or advise, really appreciate it !
parallalley I am even trying Apple cidar vinegar, Neti pot, String therapy through nose. I am totally devastated how to go about it now for immediate cure. Can any one advice what is the content which is there in natural polyp miracle treatment book, If any one has read the book please do share with all of us who are suffering since long time. if any other home natural polyp removal methods are there do share with us.
A hard task when you wake up covered in blood from scratching while asleep, a thing that came all too rarely and only after getting so exhausted that it was impossible to stay awake. So when the steroids seemed to work and stop the hives for half a day to 3 days, I memorized the feeling and started working towards self inducing that feeling instead of the horrible panic and despair that being covered in ugly painful itching hives constantly tended to make me feel.
Thanks for the info. I know how frustrating it is to have poor medical care and I also know what it is like to have anaphylactic shock!! Although mine was because of contrast dye from a CT scan I had done and nobody could have predicted I would have that reaction (rare to be severely allergic to it). I'm glad you are feeling better but sorry you had to have something done that should not have been necessary.
I would wake up, and about 1 to 2 hours later I will fall asleep. I had to stop driving because i would fall asleep. I am more alert now, but how long will it take to start feeling normal again??? Will I ever feel normal again???
tofranil Another anti-depressant. I understand that this is a lot of medication to be on daily. however they work for me and my disorders. I've worked at great length with my doctors, who also work with each other on my case, to come up with this regiment.
There are many other uses. I refused pred for a non-asthma use in 2009. it took longer to get over the problem, but it was a wise choice. Tammy, a friend just told me that she was on cromlyn (sp?) neb the last time she was in the hospital and it worked very well for her. Have you tried that. it is not a good rescue med and is no longer available as an MDI, but it might help you. Also, have you been evaluated for VCD? take care.
Apparently fluid can seep from the back of the nose and go down the throat the brain reacts to stop the fluid going into the lungs which closes the voice box, this then stops you breathing, the brain then realises that the lungs arent working so wakes you up and that is why you wake up coughing and trying to get your breath, this is how it was explained to me. I have been told that it is not dangerous and that I will always wake up, it is just very stressfull.
has anyone tried Amitriptyline and it worked? how long does it take to work and at what dosage? I am just concerned that the anxiety is being caused by Amit. and I don't want to keep taking it if it does not work. Also if I keep taking it, and it does not work, then I will have to deal with the withdrawal symptoms. Please help, I need advise.
I hope this helps, it really scared me. it is something to take seriously. I'm on antibiotics for 10 days now. My doctor told me to throw away all of my make-up as it may be contaminated..... I'm doing that too! Good luck and hope everyone does what they need to do to feel better. I wanted to post this so that people take it seriously, as some of the posts make it seem like it will just go away,or have doctors that didn't take it seriously. I feel that people need to act on this one.
Nasal congestion alone doesn't cause obstructive sleep apnea, but it can definitely aggravate it. If your palate and tongue structures are predisposed to falling back easily due to sleeping on your back and muscle relaxation in deep sleep, then having a stuffy nose can aggravate further collapse downstream. Untreated obstructive sleep apnea can lead to chronic fatigue, depression, anxiety, weight gain, high blood pressure, heart disease, heart attack and stroke.
So, I was given a script for a broad spectum antibiotic and told to go to the ER immediately if it spreads as it can cause blindness if it affects the eyes or death if it affects the brain. Just wanted to chime in incase anyone is having the same symptoms so you take it seriously. If you are experiencing similar signs and symptoms, please, see a doctor.
I am 45 and I cannot live the rest of my life like this anymore. If that does not work, then I am praying for death to take me. I can't kill myself because I believe I will go to hell if I do that.Jesus cured so many people when he was here. I wish I could just reach out and touch him and I know I would be cured too. But he isn't here. Thanks all for reading this.
I hate to use the word tickle because its not a tickle, and its hard to come up with the right word for what it does to make me start to cough. But I am getting tired of it happening, been happening for at least 4 years, and getting worse. Not having any breathing problems with it. No wheezing, no obstructions, breathing fine, just annoys the heck out of me, and my wife, for the coughing keeps her up as well, at times she leaves the room. Anyway, whats in there that could be causing this?
I also take Propranolol, a beta blocker to prevent migraines, control pvcs and I found that it's even helped to control my anxiety to an extent. it's a good drug for me, but if it does not work as a preventative medication my headache specialist plans to put me on topamax. I too am afraid of the side effects, but I have children and I think it is unfair to allow myself to continue with disabling headaches and have them affected as well.
Having to hawk and spit every verse or so does not do wonders for one's stage presence. I can force myself to ignore it for a bit, but holding back like that causes it to get worse to the point of hacking, gagging, and full-on puking. (Fun. 'Hey, let's go see the local band. I've got front row tickets, bring a tarp!') Now -- I had a goodly portion of respiratory problems when I was younger, mostly secondary to an immunodeficiency.
The prednisone does help for a while, but as someone stated they won't give it to you for long. I am on antibiotics now, and woke up at 3am with an itching, allergic reaction, and my throat on fire, red, red, red. Called my doctor, doubled my antihistimine, nasal sprays, etc. Do sinus rinses. I do have 2 dogs, but try to keep the house clean. I am actually thinking of paying someone to do the cleaning now!
, but he does refer to a clinical study that showed it doesn't work well for some. I looked up Neti Pot and watched a number of demonstrations on "YouTube"... seems to be a favorite subject for "producers", both serious and fun. As I have used only a syringe that holds no more than a couple CC of liquid there is very little coming out the down-side nostril. Last night I used only saline spray and a dry mouth treatment.
Doctors may prescribe antibiotics for 10 to 12 days, and if that doesn’t work, as it rarely does, they may prescribe a different antibiotic for anywhere to 4 to 6 weeks, which is often effective. Sometimes it takes months and even a year of antibiotics to effect a cure. Steroid nasal sprays can also be prescribed, but the medical community is unsure of the possible side-effects of long-term use of steroid nasal sprays.
how long does it take for the Prednisone to work? Shouldn't it be working by now? it doesn't seem that he is improving at all. I took him in on Friday to doc, so it has been enough time for Prednisone to work it would seem. When I took him in, they gave him breathing test, but I had just given him breathing treatment, but it seems it has gotten worse since Friday. Even with his breathing treatments, he is still coughing continuously and clearing his throat.
But my question is should I go back to taking the nasonex? Was it a good thing that the nasonex made it louder because maybe it was just cleaning my ear out from the fluid, since it stopped ringing completely later that night which it hasnt done all week. But I dont know because it was a lot more irritating that night then ever! When I got out of the hot shower. I'm starting to think maybe the hot shower could be whats really irritating it more.
