583196 tn?1429221155 t heard of red raspberry leaf tea until recently either and wanted to get an idea of how well both mothers milk and rrlt worked for mothers who have used it. this is the sort of info websites leave out. how long it takes to work and what sorts of differences mothers saw before and after drinking it. so i thought i'd take a poll from other mothers who may have used the product themselves. kinda like doing my own product research i suppose.
7541631 tn?1405945993 Theres a tea called mothers milk. You could try that. Have you tried asking your dr why your milk hasn't come in?
Avatar f tn I am taking Fenugreek for 2 days now and it has not helped much :/ and I am about to try the "mothers milk tea" and see if that works.
Avatar f tn By your milk "coming in" they mean the regular milk you will be producing, 2-4 days after birth you will produce colostrum, a thicker more satisfying milk filled with antibodies that will help your little one gain a stronger immune system.
7590082 tn?1392496513 But there are supplements you can take to increase your milk. I wish I could remember the name, it was in a liquid form with a dropper. I would put it in a small glass of apple juice, it worked very well too .
Avatar n tn My second son was a champ. I produced more than enough milk for him and he nursed so long I had to cut him off.
Avatar f tn t matter until your milk come in which is about 3-4 days after you give birth that is if you nurse/pump every 2 hours. It will help to drink mothers milk tea. You never know, I always made way too much milk which was my problem so I stayed away from the tea.
Avatar f tn t seem like it working, it has only been a day though... how long does it usually take??
7590082 tn?1392496513 First and foremost no pacifiers or supplemental bottles (including expressed breast milk) for the first six weeks. If your baby wants to suck, put him or her to breast. That means allowing yourself to be a pacifier in the meantime. It also ensures a really good milk supply, as breast milk is a supply and demand situation. Your body will automatically make more. Also, there are some herbs that help, from blessed thistle, to fenugreek, etc.
4408078 tn?1358058398 Keep having her suck, soon it will produce more milk, bby needs to do that to send signals to ur bdy to produce more milk.
3156712 tn?1354121665 so has anyone tried either one? What side affects if any to you or the baby? How much did you take or drink a day? How soon did you start? Who else is planning on trying one of these methods? Or any other organic method?
Avatar f tn t get her to latch on.... and she will throw a fit if I take to long... it is so frustrating I am just going to do both when needed but I definitely will not give up.
9924471 tn?1419954420 I would like to know both positive and negative feedback also if it was a success how much did you drink a day and for how long also by how much would you say it increase your supply? And how quickly after starting it did it increase your supply.
Avatar f tn There are a few supplements you can try: Fenugreek Seeds. Ingesting the seeds of the plant used back in the day for inducing childbirth can help boost milk production. It is known to cause gas and bloating, so beware! Mother's Milk Tea. Another way to get some fenugreek in your system, this tea is a hit with many moms. A few things to be aware of: some mothers report upset stomach from the tea, and it can make you smell a bit like maple syrup.
Avatar f tn There is also mothers milk tea and maxi milk from mountain meadow herbs. Pump between feedings to get your body to make more. Do what feels right for you on the time off thing. Good luck.
Avatar f tn when you breastfeed him drink water, also I saw at Walmart a tea called Mothers Milk, I honestly don't know if it does work cuz I didn't try it cuz I was already weaning my baby, hope it works for you (: good luck
6036387 tn?1395008183 Try mother love, milk tincture (mother's milk tincture). You can get it from amazon. It's worked for me although some people do say it doesn't work for them but if your willing to try anything this might help. I would stay away from the pills and tea cause they don't work as good but the tincture works great. It does have a terrible taste just to warn you. You can also drink a hoppy beer, the hops in beer bring in breast milk but this is only a temporary solution.
Avatar f tn And do you take it after you have the baby or before? Thats good to hear, when I googled it ppl kept sayin they band those meds and stuff lol!
Avatar f tn You know what for me I had to pump with both my girls and that's how I could tell I was making enough. I pump every two hours for 25 min but this time I'm hoping my son will latch on that will make my life easier. But if u start breastfeeding and 6 weeks in you start having issues start pumping.
Avatar n tn I don't see the harm in eating lactation cookies and drinking mothers milk tea- but I wouldn't start with pumping. Nipple stimulation can cause contractions, it's often something they do to try to induce labor- you don't want to do that before baby is ready. Also, colostrum is a substance that is your 'milk' (it's not really milk) for the first few days- it contains many important nutrients for your baby- anti-bodies and other things that you want your baby to have.
8746528 tn?1399644647 Mothers milk tea has fenugreek in it. Oatmeal does work wonders though! Be prepared to smell like pancakes if you take the fenugreek lol. It makes you smell like maple syrup for some reason lol. I mean it really makes you smell like it.
7552771 tn?1469929649 I took it did not work. It can make you smell like maple syrup. It's gross. There medicine your Dr can give to you, and there is a tea that's call mothers tea it suppose to help your supply. Everyone i know swears by the mothers tea.
