How long does flexeril last

Common Questions and Answers about How long does flexeril last

Flexaril should help you sleep while you are off the opiates. They don't know how Flexaril works, but it does. Soma does give you a "buzz" and if you have the shakes from withdrawal, the soma will actually make you have more anxiety. The flexaril will help you relax and it isn't addictive. Some people though it has a tendency to make sleep for long periods of time or give you a hang over feeling when you wake up.
The same thing happened to me its like a cold tell me about it....Force yourself to yawn and will unblock your ears What is happening is because of the addiction, your blood is full of toxins and carbon dioxide.Your body is expelling these toxins and has a hard time doing so beacause it is week. So poor blood circulation is creating preasure in your brain hence the yawnig thing....Forcing a yawn will expell the carbon dioxide and will help,,,So Ive been told..
Is flexeril a addictive drug? I just got off of percocet and I don't want to get dependent on something else that may be addictive.
I took flexeril (10mg 3x day) for thoracic muscle spasms, my muscles lock up and it is very painful. Yesterday 15 min after my dose and 3 hrs after the dose of my other meds, I had a severe anxiety attack and landed in the ER. It started that I couldn't get a deep satisfying breath, so I called my husband to take me to the ER. By the time he got here my fingers and toes were numb so I had him take me to the ER.
Hi Tuckamore, FYI, I went to the doctor yesterday and he said flexeril is known to cause skipping heart beats and other problems like that and I have to go off of it tonight. So, I went off the flexeril last night and has some trouble sleeping but took an antihistamine and I seem to be doing ok today. So, far my heartbeat is better. I hope that does the trick. I looked up the side effects of flexeril and <1% get the arhythimias and so I guess I'm in the 1% as usual.
Interesting how long this thread has been going on. I too had been on flexeril for almost 2 1/2 yrs. I stopped suddenly 2 months ago after reading the drug interactions of flexeril with norco and wellbutrin. They all effect the CNS in similar ways. I also experienced bad withdrawal symptoms but in the end it was worth getting off flexeril because of the side of effect of muscle weakness/stiffness. Here's my two cents - 1.

My doctor gave me diazipam for help but I have had to increase this medication as needed. No more than 5mg at a time but how long does this withdrawal last. Shouldn't I be getting some results? I get some sleep but last night my legs were doing a dance on me I could not control. That was rough but of course I made it through with the help of the diazipam. When will there be light at the end of the tunnel. I know there has got to be and July 12 will be a month off the fentanyl.

Had 8 yrs of fentanyl 4 micrograms and dilaudid 2mg pumped in me for MV acct. QUESTION is how long will the withdrawal be? I'm on day 8 and only 20 hrs of sleep. With the worst case of RLS ever. Don't crave the drugs, but the racing thoughts r making me delirious. When does it get better. Snots, squirts and vomiting. Went on for 6 days. Liquid N-Quel works wonders also Amodium AD. Godsend. Need some sleep the creepy crawlies gone and racing thoughts to disappeare, before I go crazy.
I'd like to post this question to the people who have secondary or primary progressive (especially) MS. I'd like to know your symptoms, how long do they last and if they are lasting how does it feel, how you deal and cope with them, how do your family and friends interact with you, what your limitations are etc? I ask this question because I may have ms, but I dont have dx yet.

I don't know how long it takes to get this out of my system. My body does burn from the inside out and I do have bone pain, just not as bad as that first taper I did. Plus I can sleep 2-3 hours at a time before waking up. last time I was up 4 days straight.
Im sorry that happened. I plan on not going to the ER for a very long time after my last incident so I am trying to do what i can for what I have right here at home. Im sorry that the doctor said that to you. Isnt funny when they insult you to your face or say something inappropriate you just look at them and nothing comes to mind of what to say..just tears. And then, when ya get home and you why didnt i say something to that?! I hope you get better treatment in the future.
I was wondering-- how many of you deal with nerve pain, where does it affect you and how often? I start to feel yucky by about 9pm every night with the aching in my right chest and armpit area. I take 900 mg of gabapentin plus a tramadol to control the pain. Every morning I wake up with this awful aching and have to take another 100 mg of gabapentin and a tramadol. If I dont' take something right away, the pain gets to be about a level 10. It literally hurts worse than labor and delivery.
My question is, how dangerous is a bulge at C6/7. I am worried that if I fall or cause any sudden movement, it may herniate. does this area effect any other part of the body besides the arm? Everyone, my PCP, my neurologist and my PT have given me different answers. I want the dizziness and vertigo to stop. Any advice?
I'm at the complete end of my rope here, holding onto the very last thread. I have been having some new and interesting symptoms over the last couple of weeks that have put me a little on edge. I have had 2 urine tests now come back positive for blood and protien. I understand this can be normal for some people, but I know that this has never been the norm for me.
05 Ativan and I also took half a 0.5 Clonazepam. Should I take both for a while? For how long? Or jus increase the Clonazepam and stop the Ativan. I get such pains in my back and shoulders and neck. I think it's from no Ativan. What should I do?
One MRI was on a 1.5 T. The report for the last one I don't know. This last report is rather lacking information. It said it was an open MRI machine and it wasn't. They did do like one min it one machine that just did my head before moving me to the normal MRI machine. But this is also the report that states I am male and I am not. It doesn't say anything more about strength.
I had the epidural last July, and after I had the epidural, my pain increased. I told my physical therapists that I shouldn't have even bothered. I was hoping that one last shot would get me over the hump. They will only let you get three shots a year, and that was my last one for the year. The reason that they chose an epidural for my last shot as opposed to another block was because I had a large black and blue on my back for longer than the shot actually worked.
I am having a hard time stopping and I know I need to . I have taken this for a long time. First, I was prescribed this med and then I found other ways to get it. Knowbody knows I take it as much as I do. Anyone....have some advice?
Hi...I know u r still waiting to see positive results and so far u have been lucky not having al the xtra symptoms of the surgery. I pray it does not take that long and u will soon feel better.
I was prescribed Vicoden, it just makes me sleepy, but does nothing for the pain. I have also been prescribed flexeril, with no result. I don't know if to try another Rheumatologist, maybe a GP will guide me in the right direction, or just try to find a Hepatologist who is familiar with the Simeprevir study and post-tx long term side effects. Thank you Dee for your response, I appreciate it very much.
