3055148 tn?1368211800 I assume this means your milk has come in and there getting engorged! Should hurt long, keep a bra on 24hrs a day even in bed and the shower it really helps to 'dry up' your milk supply!!
Avatar f tn Something my Doc told me that made me feel alot betters is to not stress yourself out if you want to do formula as well Some Breast milk is better then no breast milk so I bottle feed but also breast feed what I could until he was a year as well. My doc suggested to breast feed some at least for 6 months.
Avatar f tn If U keep pumping Ur milk will keep coming. But if you just stop the milk still comes in. U will get engorged & the milk will keep coming in. It's painful. I've nursed all 3 of my babies. 1st until 20 months, 2nd until 14 months (I got prego) and now my newborn. But even w my 1st 2 even after 14 months it's still painful to stop. Talk to a lactation specialist-call Ur hospital they can direct U to one or talk to Ur pediatrician for advise.

Avatar f tn Breast feeding mommas, from birth until whenever, what is your pumping schedule like? Is it every couple hours, do you just "feel" it's time? How long does it take? I would like to breast feed, but I will primarily depend on bottle feeding breast milk because of other reasons. Just curious what I should kind of expect.
Avatar f tn I'm curious as to how long you plan to breast feed?... How old do you think is too old? Are you not going to breast feed? Why? Why not? I'm a first time mom. Curious others opinions.
5624774 tn?1374284525 I would take your pedi's advice. Breastfeeding is the best for your baby & its great if uve breastfed 3 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, a year, doesnt matter how long. 6 months is great. Let them figure it out & just see how it goes. I had to stop breastfeeding my second baby @ 6 months because my milk production got low due to ne being preggers again! Lol she has no problems, as healthy as can be. Good Luck hun, I'm sure everything Will b fine.

266539 tn?1281402152 Freezing does take away some of the nutrient value in breast milk, but that doesn't mean that you have to avoid it altogether. I use ice cube trays to freeze milk into 1 ounce cubes. Then when the tray is full (14 cubes in the trays I use), I put the cubes in a vacuum sealed bag. I am currently using the ziploc vacuum seal bags, they work great. My little one is 7 weeks old and usually goes through about 10 ounces of milk at day care a day (he is there from 7am - 5pm).
11129330 tn?1430878608 Does your breast size depend on how much milk you'll produce because mine have grown but just a little bit & I'm just wondering because I want to be able to breastfeed :)
1123420 tn?1350561158 I really want my baby to have breast milk for the first month or so, but really can't imagine actually breast feeding, so I was thinking about just pumping it.. I don't know the first thing about it. So is that any different, does it break the bond? Does it hurt any less? I have absolutely no idea, so if you could help me with these questions, or let me know other things that I need to know, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!!
Avatar n tn I stopped breast feeding her when she was 8 months old. The other day I noticed that I was leaking milk from my breast. How long does it take for breast milk to dry up? And should I be concerned or contact my GYN?
